When you first place the grand harvest house, without anything attached and you go in to edit, you can change the windows. Once you have something attached, it will only change the door opening. The upstairs windows will match the downstairs windows. I know this because I annoyingly have two different size windows on my top floor and nowhere to move my rooms below so that I can change the windows upstairs.

There is a window in the back as well on the second floor that you can choose to have there or not.

First take off any rooms you have attached on that side. Then from the H menu click on the pencil edit thing, and you have the option of changing windows just like in any other room.

The Blue Flowering Bushes are Black instead of Blue when I grow them

Yeah, if you look at the flower names, 2 bushes each, have the same name. But black and blue look no different, so either it's a super rare drop, or they never put the bush into the game

Place a floor on a shelf, turn it upside down, place rest of floors on it, decor with flowers, take first floor and place on a house wall, place a ceiling light under it, group select from the light and place inside

no u wouldn't. Bc technically nothing sits in it. I did this in my house, and all u have to do is put ur food where the bin is after cancel placing the bin out of the way. Switch plots and come back and they will be merged

You can try multi-selecting by a smaller item like a pillar to get them into place. If they give u issues tho, you may have to remove the courtyard, fill in the space, then cancel place it all out of the way to put the courtyard back. Multi-select should do it tho

yea! the paver will always be visible unless you hide it under something or anchor it farther away to blend in.

you can swap thru them come out different sizes every time u pick up and pull it out

If you want to hide the anchor, you would use something smaller, like a plate, and then when floating it from the shelf, you are just cancel placing the shelf higher up and then placing the frog on the plate. Then just put the plate where the toilet is after cancel placing the toilet out of the way. You can also technically anchor it to the toilet itself, tho that's a bit more complicated

If you want to use the toilet as the anchor, place the toilet on the shelf sideways, pick up the shelf and move a few small squares forward to scoot him off the back, and then down a few small squares and cancel place. Place the frog on the back of the toilet and then pick up and place the shelf and he should sit on the seat

They should fit as well. It just depends on how far you can scoot them into the courtyard via multi-select. You will probably end up needing to use cancel placement to get the entire thing filled in tho

I've managed to do a very small pond but would love something a little larger to go around a few of the yardwork pieces. I've tried the builders floors, plates, planks, you name it .... I used builder floor (wood) and laid the moss rug over them, honestly! I leave a tiny crack of the wood floor to grab that piece to move it around and layer eachother

And then any gaps where i didnt layer it well i just cover with a rock, or a bush, etc

And turn off grid mode too when moving them around

Do you know the cancelation glitch? I just place one, mark the edge with another rug, cancelation glitch it away and place the next one. No extra items needed 😄 they will all be there and over lapped at the same height once you reload your plot!

Ooo I haven't learned floating yet thats next on my list to learn! Cancelation is easy once you get the hang of it, make sure the item youre cancelation away is outlined in green when you hit the hotkey of another item

Figuring out the layout you want, both with the entire GHH first floor, as well as your furniture orientation within the spaces is something I would suggest. Just so you don't run into a bunch of issues/struggle later on down the line. From there you just need to figure out your dimensions, and build away.

You can just cancel place the stuff out of the way so it snaps back? Hold ur rug where u want it, then move and count how many over u have to move before it turns green and u can place the rug. Then cancel place everything and move it back however many ur count was and place. Switch plots and come back and ur good

well like I said essentially, obviously we get fancy with it, but the simplest float you can do is literally cancellation on a builders block and place any thing on it while it’s cancelled.

Cancel placement, floating and sinking seem complicated at first, but it's honestly super easy once you grasp the concept of it. From your anchor's starting point, how ever many squares you move in any direction and cancel place before you put your item on, is however far your item will distance itself from the anchor

So if u take ur anchor and cancel place it 4 small squares up on a wall before placing ur item, it will sit 4 small squares above it. Hope that all makes sense. Rotational floating is a bit more complex tho

Take ur top bug off and cancel place it to scoot the light to the middle. They are 3 small squares wide right? So if u sit it in the center just cancel place it 1 and 1/2 small squares to the right before placing ur light on and it should snap center

K, all flicking is is cancel placement w/ extra steps basically. You hold an already placed item where u want ur item to go, then stand close to it so it says "something is in the way", from there u can either hold ur left mouse button in and hit a number key with a decor item in it, or set a key bind (like the V key) for placement and hit the V key right before hitting the number key quickly and it will place the item from ur number key instead of what ur holding. It also helps to turn your frame rate down to 30

If u r holding in the mouse buton and then hitting ur number key with the decor item u wish to place in it, it should work the first time. Though sometimes it may take a few tries. Make sure it says "something is in the way"

I'm sure I could have done this without leaving the pillar, but I did this a while ago before I knew really what I was doing with all the glitches. But three pillars is the perfect height. Stack the three pillars and then put a row of builders floors on top and hang the lights from that. Select from the top pillar and cancel the "ceiling" and lights and that top pillar all away. Then place the two remaining pillars on your porch and the "ceiling" and lights will snap into place. I hid the pillar with a tree. I'm sure the glitching geniuses in here would do it differently so there would be no pillar, but I was just happy I figured out a way to make it work.

It's a bit crazy that they just all of the sudden are stuck to each other, like i did not ask that of you.. xD

I had the opposite problem when I first started, but once I figured out how to link them, it becomes easier to place them without linking. When you're placing a block if you're pointing at the block next to it, it will snap together connected. So if you play around and point your mouse in every possible other direction than at the next block, until the block is in the place you want it, it will place without connecting.

The blocks magically sticking to each other is the key to putting them where they don't want to go, though. Once you master it, it's really helpful that they do that. 🙂

You'll be able to cancel place away most of what you built, move one or two blocks, and everything else will snap back connected to the block you moved.

the focal point is the pint the furniture parts stick together so you need to line that up with the edge you wanna stick it to. took me a bit to figure that one out

I doubt it. They implemented the new flowers as part of event (pixi bounce and blossom) and they went as far as making it impossible for us to get seeds by any other means. It'd be counter productive on their part to make thise exclusive flowers available to buy cause then no one would participate in the events they worked hard on

Thank you! I had this idea of a cottage "kitchen garden" in my head and I just went from there... It went through many iterations, and in fact that's an old picture--I changed the gardenia around the tree out for roses which are a little smaller (easier to till the soil when needed), and now I have lights all the way around the garden.

This happens with any crafter/chest/workstation. If the builder's piece/anchor it is attached to is not sitting on the grass, they jump to your lamp zone

If you mean removing the anchor, then no. If the object has to sit on top of something, an anchor piece is required and cannot be removed without removing what is sitting on top

even the anchorless needs something to be attached to the mix station to group select

Yep. Since it doesn;t have a top grid, it has to be anchored to something. In this case a crate it looks like, lol. But if u want ur stations to stay, use the multi-select to push ur crate or whatever u use under ur house and u should be good. I recommend a crate bc it's the same height as the floor and they sit right on top

I got my jammers to stay by sitting them on the crate and then just pushing it under the house -

you can put pillars down at a diagonal, every other square, then group grab them and place on your anchor to turn them sideways. i hope that made sense!

so u mean i should sinck a crate then i place the station on top of it ?

No, all u have to do is put the station on top of the crate. Line it up outside on the grass as close to where u want it inside as u can, and then take another builder's piece (say another crate), and cancel place ur station crate as close as u can to it, then multi-select by the crate with nothing on it and push it as many squares as u need to get it under the house and place. Hope that makes sense.

You just need to figure out how many squares u need to move to push it where it needs to go

Tho u can repeat the multi-select "push" as many times as u need to so no worries if u mess up

Just make sure u have ur flooring taken off or u can't grab the crate back out. You can put it back on after

And make sure u r doing this outside, or it will not stay anchored to the ground. If u push it around inside, it will anchor to the floor, and u will have to do it over again. So always on the grass
