3 totes of Kitchen (100% was kitchenless, but I cook/bake as a hobby.) 1 bake tote.

3 Christmas totes (without christmas lights) + two trees.

1 box of misc. items including legos. 1 box of misc. wall decor.

1 box of blankets/comforter.

My armoire with my clothes stuffed in it.

And a couch + bed.

Legit- over half my items was easily christmas-decor I could leave out strategically 365. So 3 totes was a minimum.

Mom questioned why I had the totes organized in the living room and she was like, "This is .... it?"

And that was the whole Christmas addiction realization setting in, because when THAT got set aside she realized how little I had to fill a house vs. advanced kitchen gear.

So I figured it out some.

You put stuff like crates or a pillar on the ground.

Then you layer it with a floor piece (for larger items.)

You "ghost"/cancel it in place where you want the item to float (hit the number or button of a placeable item to "re-assign" the "placement" of your items.... you're ghosting it in place temporarily not a permanent placement. whatever number or button you hit to activate the placeable item, click that key a second time to "exit" placing.

THEN you put your item(s) on top of what you want to float (left click, v.) This is the permanent placement choice you're making (candles, etc.)

Exit and re-enter the plot. The item will stay in the air and your handi-cap is not an anchor, and it'll go back to where it originally was being assembled. Your item will think it's still on an item and stay in the air.

You don’t have to leave the plot for floating. Once you move your anchor the thing you floated pops up into the air.

I would avoid calling this ghosting, just because there is already a glitch called ghosting, and it seems to be causing a lot of confusion for newer players. Not trying to nit pick, but there have been a ton of ppl who think that they can not do this glitch because of this, or end up getting the wrong info and get frustrated and give up.

You want them to sit just far enough under the surface that it will make contact with the items u r placing, but too far down and they won't sit on the floor

If ur flicking, the issue is that it will try to attach to the item below the one u r flicking at. Make a stack of 3 of the pavers and then try. Also, dangling the paver off the edge of the shelf, so that u don't point ur mouse at the shelf helps. Tho u shouldn't have to use flicking if u r just putting a candle or a homestead lamp on the paver. They should sit right on there.

Basically when I set up pieces to not be adhered to/dependent on one another but then group selected the whole thing, attached on a side that was out of bounds, then removed the "connecting" components joining the two ends the blocks out of bounds still floated and would be moved/translated with respect to the in bound block

but I am a total novice with less than two weeks since joining and this is just stuff that happened to me the last couple days as I have been experimenting

You have found the merge wall.
The outside front and back and the inside front wall of the harvest house have special properties. If you place down anything on it that is stacked it will get yeeted out like in your picture. How it gets yeeted out depends on where your items are on (in this case) your shelf.
Another thing it will do is if you place down a shelf or a builders block (or anything else that will go) on those walls and you place things on it. and then place your shelf or builders block somewhere else the things on the shelf or builders block will merge together.

You could use the stone paver, the round one.
Place the 2 rugs where you want them, while leaving a space in between, place the paver in the space bewteen the 2 rugs then the 3rd rug

There is a bug when u r anchoring in a chain as well, where the pieces will spiral in height when making a circle, or as u go the next will sit higher than the last, and u have to leave and come back to fix it so they sit lvl with each other. It might be the same issue

There are tons of starred blue butterflies in Bahari if u run around between the entrance and the cave. I think it took over 600 butterflies to make it

I didn't use lures and it took me about a week to get them all. Maybe a bit less, but I was focusing on only catching bugs nothing else.

You may need to redo it, depending on what is underneath, but since you mention stone floors the trick is to place them without connecting to each other, you can see here the first 3 are not connected and don't have grass but as the 4th is connected to another the grass shows up, even if a second is placed on top, mainly because the one on top is also connected

what are we thinking? i moved the tree house to the other side of the house (gonna make a barn where the tree house was) im gonna add some lilies and things into the "water" to kinda fill in the gaps where the rugs dont connect. and then on the platforms will eventually be like a campsite (table, fire, seating etc) now my main thing is idk what to do around the bottom of the tree house i dont like it being all open

Apparently, it is a random dialogue between u and Einar, where he asks u between lvl 2-3 friendship if you are "having a rough day" and u have to respond a certain way. He gives u the pebble if u pick the right choice

u can place them at borders of your area to smooth out the edges or at the tree house bottom, helps working with those terraces in general ^^' just a tip for terraforming and sth i use all the time
