thats as easy as pressing one button and as useful and complicated later as a dissertation :v

placed item, pick it up, move mouse somewhere where it would allow u to place it, press a shortkey to inventory slot under which u got any random placable item - first item will look like it dropped down on ground and the inv item will be attached on your mouse cursor, press ctrl or esc and u can now utilise the glitch

this way u assigned a temporary new position that will last only untill item gets updated - either by moving its original anchor or by reloading plot, although all new connection will be saved with that new position (thats how u float and sink items)

unlocking the emberborn is weird, you only get so many inspirations per unlock

so when you initially unlock a recipe, you have a set amount you can discover from it before you need to unlock another

...i learned this the hard way

You probably either missed crafting a recipe in the set, or it is one of the ones that ends up automatically added to your list after crafting so many in a set. Just double check ur workbench

getting the floor piece to fit into the corner and middle of grand harvest house for attic. i cant get the left click + # glitch to work

Iirc left click + number key is for flicking, to force placing something where it does not go. For canceling you take an object and instead of placing you use a number key to take something else, this temporarily holds the first one, either away to avoid collision or at a different place to use it as an anchor to float/sink something else
If you're following Theo's video I don't recall any flicking (I may be wrong)

For anyone interested, this is how arches look when made by: 1) using a shelf in the front/back wall of a HH, 2) using a shelf on a builders wall while sinking it 3 concrete pavers tall every step and 3) using a jig to rotate on the ground then placing it upwards

just realised that I forgot to share my porch build on here as well, but here it is! looks pretty simple but uses 500 items, while it could've been just an actual housing add-on already and counted as 1 I really can't wait for that housing update they talked about

Floated the bottom row together on a single paver, then placed other rows normally. Sometimes I'd float some of the blocks as they wouldn't place normally. Then I did rotational floating on the first block to make this tilt (second anchor). And then floated that anchor again, so I could get a precise location, I wasn't sure how high up it'd stay without dettaching

and floated the stairs seperately cause I wasn't sure if I wanted for the blocks to lay on top of the stairs or be in the stairs like in the picture

For me just a couple crates to span the 11 small grid squares to a pillar so that I could group select from the pillar and rotate all at the same time, may need an extra crate to group-place the next new one in place since crates are stubborn

So, for a max width circle of small crates, you need to fill 13 grid squares in between your crates and a pillar, so you'll be able to group select from the pillar to rotate them
Here in blue the jig, in green the new crate zone, in yellow the aux crate to place the new one since they keep stubbornly choosing corners instead of the landing zone
Once you place a new crate, just group select from the pillar, rotate in place (without moving it) and repeat

That's normal for those, all Elderwood plants don't give seeds when mature... You have to do the piksii bounce to get them, it's the only way

Yeah, the paver becomes ur anchor, so if u move the paver it goes with it. If it's colliding with something just cancel place the pillar in the grass, and then u can place the paver where u want it, and it will snap back

If u want to sink and float without an additional piece for the anchor, u can do "anchorless" floating and sinking, tho it's a bit advanced

it's also known as switch sinking/floating, It's just sinking/floating with the 1 cup technique

If you want them to snap you can place a small crate on the pillar and group select from it, that allows you to snap the pillars by the ends but it will leave a small gap depending on the angle.

K, to cancel place, put a decor item/starred bug/fish/food in ur inv. and find it in ur hotbar. Pick up those pieces of floor and move them out of the way on the ground, and then hit the number key ur item is in instead of placing them normally. It will temp. lock them where u were holding them until u place the house. then just switch plots and come back and the floors will have snapped back. So ur just hitting that number key to "place" rather than clicking to place.

while holding the floor, u hit one of those numbers that has one of the items I mentioned. Wherever you were holding it it gets locked there temporarily

switching plots and coming back makes them jump back bc they weren't actually placed

yep, the cancel placement is just moving the floors out of the way so u can place the house

so I do this, I select the floors I want to cancel, then I press the number key, putting the floor away from the place, place the house and then reload?

yep. U just have to cancel place enough out of the way so u can place the house without collision.

when u reload the plot it will all be back where it was. Just make sure ur hitting the number key and not placing the floors normally by clicking

Yes, I do. I just didn't want to put too much bellflower together. I may just keep the rug that's there now as it fits the best out of all the others color wise. I need to do something about these drapes tho... I rlly wish they didn't have the pattern on them. I think Autumn will prob. look better

Same here. I tried them in alabaster and it lightened them up quite a bit (at least with switch graphics), but can still see it a bit
