I made a deck like this and it was a pain to get the floors to do what they are supposed to do. I did eventually get them to snap together, but there was so much jumping around trying to find the perfect angle. So it’s possible, but honestly now that I know about cancel placement, I would do it that way. Build your floor somewhere else, then cancel place most of it away (a big open space if possible so you don’t run into collision with random things), and then place that one bit of floor left that you didn’t cancel place away. Just get that piece where it needs to be and the rest of the floor will follow and snap into place.

I did this in my plot (now waiting to be remade) before knowing of canceling, you can build the floor outside that area and there is a point where it will allow you to place it but, if you don't want to cancel place then you need to go up one floor piece over the small crate to bypass the doors

You can place the pool inside a building and the fins should move with it. Then you can pick up the building and it will place all the decor into your inventory/chest.

I think they'll slowly in time improve the lighting mechanics. Palia so far has exceeded everyone else cozy/functional games.

ACNH has tier functionality, but is way more restrictive. Palia for sure could've patched a lot of these glithes, but they're not... which I think is lovely of them.

Bowl trick with the gate as the starter. It's the only way I got it to work. And I built a rail THIS direction to start it on the external outline, and removed the middle/carrying pieces....

But it'll likely go away as everyone said. The fence does not like air and the glitch for the fence I guess implies air.

Maybe it's based on server session? Because I did not switch servers when I switched plots.

Some decor have different proprieties, fences count in that lot (same for crafters and chests), that's why it's complicated to get them to work how you want when floating or putting them on builders floors

flicking 101:

1. set up above key
2. have item under shortkey of choice in inventory
3. place down random item a little to your side (for now, it varies with wall items and stuff like that making it easier but that later xd)
4. grab that item but dont place it - make it go where u want the one in inventory, it has to be showing "sth is on the way" pop up! (it can be yourself :V)
5. keep it there steady, press down mouse left click and keep it down while pressing shortkey for inv item fast, twice usually works for me
6. if it works, it will pop up there, rotation depends on which side your character is facing

okay, it sounds kinda crazy BUT i just did it and its kinda...weird xd let me walk u through it

1. initial placement
2. group selected by floor and attached to floor
3. group selected by fence and attached to fence snap O
4. picked up terrace, my floor connected to fence
   5-6. can link with floors by group selecting now by that floor and can add more to snap point (needs some planning ahead for those tho)

it took me a sec to get pics and to test if it gets spit and it stays after reload

i did it first time so probably it can be done in a better way according to specific build (what can be attached to what etc) but its a good starting point

okay, so u can add new anchors linked to ground with a fresh stack OR attach from other side of the anchor, it goes up to 50 from each side :V if this is first item it can hold 50 on each arrow

if u need to do much much more complicated stacks there are other ways to trick it but this one is easiest to start with

ghosting is a term we use towards what has been broken for us now, what was wrongly named ghosting recently is actualy cancel placement

ghosting used to be a way to modify houses with use of 2nd plot but its gone now

I really cant work out which path looks best on the snow .. haha. Please help!

I chose the white rug orriginally, thinking it looks like it was covered in snow, but I think i need something with a bit more color

What about brown rugs, as if the snow of the path as been cleared to see the dirt under ?

I would personally stick with Alabastor. You can add pops of color around it with pavers, or other items. Winter scenes are normally devoid of color, except the random pop of green or red or brown, etc.

You can also add color with lighting, especially since it's winter themed. Colored lights would change the entire mood of the plot, or even just the warm glow of a lantern/fire
