You can put interior doors on with the help of a friend, using a porch, but the stairs will poke thru the floor

you just have to place the room down at the exact same time they place the porch down

You should be able to pick up rooms that have items in them. When you do, all the items in them should fill up your inventory and then Storage.

If your inventory is full, you won't be able to pick up the room. So as long as you have at least one free space in your inventory, you should be able to pick up the room.

You cannot pick up rooms that have other rooms, doors, windows, etc. attached to it. You would need to pick those up first.

I usually will sketch everything out first, like staring at my landscape for hours just to imagine what kind of plot concept i want to make. I also personally would love to have a plot that fully functional yet good to see everytime i went to my plot, so i guess it would depends on what you need the most.

as for when to build it, building with creative tricks to playing the game would take hours (for me). So i would really recommend it to schedule out your building time. In my experience, i build my house years since this game release and it never finished ||(*because i tend to always dissatisfied on my home design)||. One room could take 2 months or so.

Now, if you do want it full of clutter and mess, that's great too. I'm not the best person to ask for that, though. I've never been much of "fill a room full of clutter" type of person.

I’ve been running a Cottagecore ranch since I first heard about animals coming to Palia (no, not the official announcements. I mean over a year ago, when it was nothing but a dream )
and it is nowhere near finished. I just having the basics decorated, and I sloooowly add things when I’m feeling inspired!
Don’t stress yourself about decorating. As a writer I’ve learned the hard way to do many things so they end up the way you wish, is just to wait until you’re in “the mood”. If you strain to get it all done “right now”, you’re likely going to end up with a build you don’t like, and will just scrap later

For me I start with a sketch in a piece of paper, then make sure to put the building housing pieces down first (since those are no adjustable, makes a good starting point. Usually another sketch by this point when I see the size of things all together. Make sure I get layout right, then create the spaces that I want around it. Lots of trial and error. I've found leaving one area mostly blank until I'm nearly done a plot helps in case I need that space for any glitches I'd like to do

My biggest problem is how BRIGHT all of the recolors are. I find myself hunting for the least bright looking pieces. The biggest recolor I use is some of bellflower in shore, since some of it keeps the brown wood with a slightly duller blue

I didn't end up following a tutorial to place my attic floors down so my gap at the end is actually much more noticeable, so I ended up covering it with industrial shelves (autumn colorway)- not a perfect solution but possible alternative if you don't want to restart (used a pillar to move them around so I could get into the roof beams and close to the floor)

That would be ghosting (which cannot be done after update) to remove a wall and the like. But I've heard the cutting tool still works. Not my field tho, but you can look for that term in yt, probably with coderedalert (not sure if that is the correct name of Theoden)

I had a floor already in place, conveniently enough, but you can sink a floor from a paver (or anything more convenient) and float the bee from the floor

You mean that you cancel the paver with the plushy and try to place at the same time?
If so, try to cancel the paver, then esc (I think) to quit the plushy then place the plushy
However I found that I couldn't place the bee (or maybe the really big ones) in a paver normally which is required to float it with canceling, hence the floor

I’m bad at explaining so let’s see if my step by step of how I’m doing it makes any sense lol

Here’s the setup I’ve been using (going off what video tutorials use)

1. Put paver onto shelf
2. Rotate shelf a bit to the left
3. Take paver off and bring it up to the top of the blocks
4. While paver is still being held onto the spot I want it, I click 5 in my inventory so that the plush I want used can be placed onto the paver
   Here’s where the issue starts - usually the plush (I’m testing with a small plush right now) will then allow me to place it onto the paver so that I can then move the paver to the ground where the glitch activates. No matter what I do now the plush will not place onto the paver

Yes, this is exactly how you do it, just a couple notes:

• you don't need to use the same item you want to float to cancel the anchor (paver) any placeable item will do (even lures, as some have discovered )
• you need to be able to place the item on the anchor normally, which was my issue with the giant bee

If when you try with a small plushie it doesn't allow the placement after canceling the paver, then try to quit the plushie and place it again normally on the paver

There are a few ways to do it, but they probably attached them to floor pieces, or terrain pieces and then merged them into the wall. You just put a builder's piece on top of the terrain piece, then place it on top of another builder's piece via multi-selecting by the builder's piece on top of the terrain.

The problem is that you sat the present on the floor. If you want to float them on something, the anchor has to stay on the ground (grass). If you still want to do it, just push the present under your house to hide it.

If it is a crafter, a tree, or a chest, the anchor has to stay on the ground. Other than that, it's the same as sinking or floating anything else. But I would definitely practice and watch tutorials if you still don't have a full grasp of it, just so you don't have to go searching for items all the time, lol.

buttt, like I said above, I have never really worked on my house before and have recently started putting in effort.

When I first joined Palia, like a year or two ago, it was my first time playing any MMO or video game in general lol. So when I was trying to let my GF into my plot, I accidentally set it to “open” instead of friends/ party only.

Anyway, I didn’t realise until I got my first stranger on my plot. Butttt despite the surprise, they were really sweet and complimented my plot and left. This was before housing tours btw, like a year ago.

I was wondering if in the last few months, if anyone else (with open plot) has started getting people coming over being weird?

Like, not leaving, following me around, sending weird messages on the chat etc. After the first one or two I was like hmmm it is my bad because I shouldn’t have my plot on open, bc it’s just anyone on the internet so annoying people can happen.

But eh it just happened a few more times so I changed my plot to private. Kinda sad bc I enjoyed the odd stranger visit here and there and showing them around.

nope, the only function they have weirdly is contributing wood to their unbuilt housing piece.

the way storage works is you can place down 8 chests shared between your plots, and they all access the same storage

[though this is currently a bug. you're meant to be able to place 8 per plot, but it still is the same storage amount]

all chests connect to the same storage
