What exactly is ghosting ? For me, it's when you used another plot to make a room link to another in order to leave an open wall or glitch building into others with the same method

I think someone must have referred to the held item being locked into place from cancel placement as a "ghost". That's the only thing I can think of

Terms can tend to get confusing for newer ppl, but it doesn't help that ppl make videos referring to things incorrectly. Or don't bother to explain what they are doing

For example cancel placement and sinking/floating are the exact same thing. It is just the manipulation of the items placement, and the fact that if you place something on top, that item stays behind. That gives you sinking and floating

but a lot of ppl think they are totally different

It's similar to what I saw when I was selling crochet items. After a while it became so popular, that newbies were jumping in and destroying the market bc they didn't know what they were doing. Selling things for way less than they should, using wrong terms when teaching others, etc.

It tends to happen no matter what it is

I had 20 years of experience, and saw ppl trying to sell things for the same price as mine, who had just learned how to do it a week ago.... It was very frustrating

One of the main reasons I don't sell what I make. I'm a beginner so obviously don't wanna charge to much but I also don't know what price would be fair but also enough to cover cost of materials. And also I don't crochet nearly enough to have a good supply to sell, and I use other people's patterns cause idk how to make my own yet and it feels a bit scummy to profit off of that even if I credit them for the pattern? 3x cost of materials as a base. Then tweak from there depending on skill lvl/complexity of deisgn. Most hand made items are priced this way, and even then you're not really making much from hrs of work... That's why most wait until they are to the point where they can make their own designs, and just sell those. Easier on the wrists, lol.

On the subject of plot inspo. Does anyone have any resources for layouts for Ancient Greek Gardens? I know it's a long shot, but I have tried to find some myself, and have come up short.... They have pics of certain areas, but not the whole layout.

I know that most of the info comes from old paintings, etc. since they have never actually discovered one, but you would think they would have just one diagram

It's a long shot, but have you tried searching inspo amongst other games ? In dreamlight valley, some ppl build those with Hercules for example 🫶 Maybe in the sims too

I have tried, but most are just Greek style houses, with a central garden. Not a communal one, which is what I was trying to go for. They are also not accurate. A lot of ppl get Roman and Greek mixed up, as well as add Victorian elements into them. Even when you try to google images it mixes them up...

F9, where they did the frog parties is where I go. Chop up on top, then jump down below. Lots of trees and you can see them spawn in whether you're on the cliff or not

Sry, that took a while. Was running and fast traveling around the greener parts of the map lol. I didn't find that many gardens gardens, it was mostly flowery ponds or structures/temple and, like, actual agricultural fields but I did find these. Could be good inspo maybe. 7-8 is more of a flower field but I figured if you wanted you'd probably be able to recreate the platform ruins thing with builder blocks and floors
(4 and 5 are opposite views of the same place, same for 9 and 10)

The pillars you see in my pic are all anchored to 1 stone pillar in the group. You just keep using the same piece over and over for the anchor

Nope, and if it gets in the way, just cancel place the other floated items out of the way. They will snap back as soon as you place the anchor normally again

Aaawww thank you!!! The countertop needs switched out, but the vintage pink porcelin tub is the key focus of the bathroom (it actually looks a ton better and more current with this wallpaper enghancing the beauty.)

The remainder of the walls are Alexandrite Green (darker than emerald) with it being a half bath, the larger wallpaper print with the green pull the pink out beautifully with two vintage MCM pendants hanging slightly unlevel with each other. It keeps the lighting balanced and even without oversaturating the bathroom and making it feel small. The large contractor mirror (almost the size of my sink) breaks up the giant patterns, making it more flattering. The peel/stick wallpaper from Etsy is high humidity friendly too.

tree's inside either obstacle flicking or floating them, but if you float them you can't place the anchor inside.

Ok so i am technically still new to palia, been playing 3 weeks or so. I have gotten money and resources so i recently started working on building a home and i saw someones house that had this kitchen island made of 4 ranch style floor cabinets and a dinning room table but i am unable to recreate it. Is there some glitch i am needing to know about? Theirs looked like it was all one big piece. I was directed here from general chat. Any help would be appreciated

Use a dessert or soup bowl, place it on the cabinet, then use the group select option on the bowl once it's placed on the cabinet, then move it to the other cabinet you want to connect it to. Doing so allows you to merge items closer together.

Ghosting is gone. You can still detach rooms if they are on the same plot, but no moving them to another anymore.

Ghosting them onto a room will no longer work, so for example, you can't have 3 bay windows on a wall anymore. Basically, if the glitch involves switching plots to place a room you can no longer do it.

You can only use the cutting tool as of right now that I know of, and they have to be on the same plot

You can use them to decorate rooms ( I have them in my bug room, fish room, bedroom, etc) or you can add them to your crafting room, or even make a storage room with them

If you are making a floor out of builder's pieces before building the walls, it will add that to the stack as well, so don't forget to factor that in.

I just wanted to show this for those messing with building blocks. I've had issues when floating certain things in a chain, (whether it's an arch, or a circle, etc.)where they do not sit lvl with each other. What fixes it is leaving your plot and coming back. However, if you switch plots mid glitching, then finish and leave your plot, the ones you added to the chain after switching do not sink lvl -

And since I am on the subject, I tore this entire thing down and shrank it today. Saved a ton on building limit. Just need to finish the last row of pillars and I can start rebuilding the roof

There are certain tricks that have switch workaround, and things are being discovered on the other new released consoles. I would recommend looking up tutorials specifically with your device of choice in the title

all consoles are using similiar version of the game, and the best tutorials i seen where for switch - just translate the buttons from on device to another but its same; for this cancelation is your go to

only thing u wont be able to do is flicking, but almost everything that flicking can do u can achieve with cancelation
