They are on a floor, but you stick them on the pillar to flip the floor and be able to move it around

Yeah, I do notice a lack of explanation in some tutorials. I think a lot of it is, though, that some ppl are so used to doing it that it makes sense to them, and they don't think that it would be something someone needs to know, or just forget to say bc it's second nature to them.

You even could attach a floor piece to pillar and hide the pillar inside a wall.

In that video it's "anchorless" since the floor is attached to the ground by cancelling it there and then using a pillar (+ group select) to make it go back on the wall..

here you can skip this part by just cancelling the upper pillar elsewhere while you just bring the lower pillar inside and place it, after you place the lower pillar, the rest will follow.

wabbys method is def easier/faster if you have a present to just lay the sofa on top of it.
but you could also flick it.

On your keyboard settings, change your Confirm Move to "V"
Have the sofa in your backpack, lets say slot #1.
Click and hover any item already placed in your plot to the porch and stand in its way, so it says "Somethings in the way".
Press and hold left click and select #1 at the same time with that error message.

if you can't get it to work, i can upload a clip later, it's a very useful trick :)

some items have a bigger range of colision then others and have to be put down first.. if there's nothing around you might be able to put it down, and replace the rest after. Dunno i dont use the luth much ,😅

Valid you could also spruce up the fencing side with some bushes and flowers if you wanted to do that. I like using the camping stool for setting lights on if you wanted lighting too.

There is a way to fix this. It has to do with the angle the player character is, and the angle of the zeki when placing it.

If you face exactly north and place him directly from your inventory without rotating it. It will look directly forward, and you won't have the demon eyes.

You can add seating, hallway tables, bookshelves, etc. The GHH is modeled after a medieval style tavern. so that's why it is like that. Sadly it really limits the build/layout. Maybe try moving your aquarium onto the wall, put a main seating area where the circular piece of the floor is, and then do any of the above I mentioned for the walkways?

I did it first try, I guess it depends on what you're trying to make, all I know is you can press Z to get rid of the grid, and you can use a small decor item on top of a bigger one, then press Alt on the small item and the large will follow, like move as group

So...

1. put your paver on the shelf (after calculating the height of it to be where you want it)
2. cancel the paver off the shelf, onto the ground
3. take your bed with multiselect (I used a pillar personally) and put it on top of the paver (you'll see it float slightly, so you know when it's on)
4. pick up the bed and cancel it away
5. pick paver and move

People who are saying ghosting still works are using the term "ghosting" wrong.

You can still clip rooms into other rooms. It's easy with two accounts - just place two buildings at once.

Solo you have to just try and move the building really fast back and forth and - with a little lag - you can get a building to overlap with another.

I have made a ceiling in the harvest house, which said floor/ceiling could be used to make a flower ceiling (I also have a flower ceiling in another room. Best bet is create the whole thing outside, cancel away the floor pretty far away so it won't clip with anything as you move the pillar, then place pillar where you want it. This will then have the floor snap back in place

You could even combine to 2 ideas, replacing the shed with the pergola they made, since theirs has similar structures to mine, lol. Depends on if you just want a little area or if you want a larger one like theirs where you walk through.

There are a couple ways to do it. Pick up your house and move it out of the way, place the bridge, then cancel place it out of the way to put the house back. You can also use cancel placement to push the piece into the house without moving the house itself. That's how I attached the overhang to the shed I posted above

I've seen a lot of people referring to cancel placement as ghosting here lately, as well... Idk what started that.
