you can't place it inside, because the bottom shelf would go into the flooring, if you want to place it inside, you'll need to move away the bottom shelf somewhere else using cancelation method

you're using the pillar as the anchor, right? If so, making a curve is the same like you're doing right now, but when you move the pillar to it's secondary palce (where you pull out an item from your inventory), rotate the pillar slightly and place the shelf on that

I'd also suggest using a non wood pillar because it has that trim detail at the top and the bottom and it messes with placement sometimes

no you can't remove the anchor, there is some sort of anchorless floating, but its more limited so i never even learned it - but i am sure there are videos about that too if you search for it

To put it simply, you pick up an item that is already placed down (you can try with your wall), move it away from its spot and take another item out of your hotbar and it'll put the object down itself

Recently S6 has made a point to acknowledge, showcase, and even appreciate the things that people have done with "glitches". They seem to have really embraced it. I don't imagine that they would ever remove our abilities to do what we do with these glitches. Not unless they were going to incorporate them into the game.

I could see potentially have building glitches (like room ghosting, or interior doors) broken if they did do a major building overhaul, but I think it's safe to say that our glitches are here to stay.

That's already happened on multiple occasions. Unintentionally, and intentionally.

For example:

• Items floated off an anchor used to ignore collision - This made build much easier. They "fixed" this without acknowledging it. It just changed after a patch
• Copper and Iron building blocks used to ignore collision - Again this made building easier. They "fixed" this, but acknowledge that it was fixed as a "bug" in the patch notes of the update that fixed it.

Well, I only know that on the second, third and fourth position of both sides of that railing I can place it (for example I put some small pots of elderberry, but on the first plot I used some pots of ficus roverentica) but on some there is no way... and it's a shame, because the result is really beautiful. yes this is just a quirk of the GHH. i struggled with this as well. many will tell you that space becomes warped inside the GHH it has its own rules, some things just dont work and you have to try glitches or give up

i recommend going to every store with a register as well as talking to every npc and looking for that shop icon that appears for some of them! if you need a list of all the shops, the wiki can help. a lot of shops have plans for furniture!

there are some recipes at the register at badruus store and with tish that have plans for individual furniture items. you buy ONE plan from the set (ie "Capital Chic" or "Spring Fever") then go home, build that piece and you will "be inspired" and you can learn one new plan from that set. keep building and you will slowly unlock all buildable items from that set.

this is important as its not always obvious!

you might not like any of the plans in their store, but you might like a piece from the same set. it also rewards you whenever you build something new for the first time with tons of experience as well as furniture making points which can be used in guild stores later

they are definitely aware of how people employ glitching, and they featured some of those houses in the palia path video, so i'm pretty sure they want to break as few of these community-made methods as possible before they're capable of implemeting it as an actual feature with its own tools

unfortunately, glitches are still glitches, so as useful as they are, it's never guaranteed to be something doable going forward with every patch. S6 is one of the kinder companies that embraces their bugs so long as it doesn't break a core function/balance or cause significant trouble with the game. as a speedrunner, i've encountered far too many developers who are really all about squashing anything that goes against their vision for a game, down to harmless ones.

heck, they even made a frog party joke in the video; they know what's up!

something i have noticed is that if something in place with glitches in housing exists before an update fixes that glitch, it typically remains in effect until the player changes it. so people who have their houses now, for example, would have their houses in perpetuity until they decide to change that one feature they glitched.

The preserves room I made took 58 shelves alone, lol. And I have over 24 rooms on my plot to fill. I can only imagine how many items are in my bug room.

and u place the thing where it will be on cancele anchor, direction u want it

Hmm, I'd say to put the blocks in the air and then obstacle flick the gazebo on it, but I personally wasn't able to place the gazebo on something else straight out of my inventory, I had to place it on the ground and then move it on the item

And now I remember that you're on switch so you wouldn't be able to do this either way even if it worked

The solution would be the terrace only and sinking the terrace into the ground so the gazebo stays on the same level as the floor blocks

Shingles? Those are actual roofings, they're glitched, the method is called obstacle flicking (PC only I think)
