from the screen i'd guess it was done by placing a gourmet dessert bowl on the edge of the block, and move the block using group select on the bowl.

If you have the New Year Wall Banner, it's even easier. It's long and you can rotate it, so you can pretty much always get it where you need it.

Set your Confirm Key to V, like the image:

Then have the umbrella in the #1 spot of your backpack items.
Pick and drag any floor item from your plot and hover it in the spot where you want the umbrella.
Stand in the way of the item you have hovered so it says somethings in the way.
Press LEFT click and hold it down there, and press 1 while holding down left click.
the umbrella should automatically get placed where you are hovering the random "in the way" item.

i need help. I spent so long on building a floating island with a bunch of gems and furniture. when i came back to my plot, all the stuff is scattered around the out of bounds area of my main plot AND the plot where I built the floating island (2nd plot slot if it matters) , they're not on other plots. but also a lot of my items are missing, i can't find them anywhere. how do I get my stuff back but also how can I prevent them from messnig up like this? I was able to load into my plot no problem multiple times, then suddenly everything got messed up :((((

reloaded my plot again and some more of my stuff came back, but still in the out of bounds zone, and not where I had placed them

This is as far high as I know can be built without being teleported back to the entrance: it's 25 builder's walls tall but you disappear just after the 24 threshold.
Any furniture below this will remain here, not sure if things placed upwards other than builders blocks will stay.

They could pick a players plot that wasn't a pc player tho. It had the little symbol next to their name. Taking away the option is what I have a problem with. I do understand they'd be frustrated, but I think to take away the choice from everyone else was the wrong way to go

I personally love the glitches. The work going into those plots can be amazing. And there are some glitches that work for switch, no need to be jelly 😉

Also, now that I actually thought about it, that's kind of a weird thing to complain about, I think. What did they want to happen?

This started as a pc game. And, while they could accommodate the switch game experience a bit better, that is not the issue I'd personally pick to focus on. You all work hard on your builds. If you were using an ACTUAL cheating program or app, maybe I could see a little side eye. But to complain about using tech that can't do those things, expecting pc players to constrain themselves so they don't have plot-envy.... Just....I don't even know.

I personally would prefer there be two decor channels - one for glitches, and one without. This is partially so that it keeps all the chatter about "how do I do x glitch" out of main decor, and partially because I personally don't use glitches and get kinda disappointed when I see something cool I would love to do but find out it takes a bunch of glitches to work. That having been said, I ADORE how creative people get with glitches and the builds they make, and would never want them penalized for it

Makeshift items are coming from the makeshift chest that you fish up, the item are random so fish a bunch of chest and hope. Recent patch said that you fish with no bait increase the chance of getting makeshift chests
