group selecting by placable-inside item is only possible if the outdoor-only item has a grid on it, so u can place the other item on it and expand it's properties to whole group - if no grid, then o'flick or few other, more demanding options

There's a few options depending on what you're playing on. If pc, you can do it multiple ways, such as flicking, red present, builders blocks, etc. If not your options are more limited.

That one's the anchor out of bounds. Or at least that's what I'd call it. Because you attached the pieces to something on the grid, then picked it up by that original piece (or in the case of building blocks, just attached more), it goes by it's "hit box" rather than paying attention to the pieces attached. So the same way you use a bowl to put something in a wall.

Henlo! I need some advice, consultancy, comparison...call it what you want.
I was thinking of building a sort of interconnected houses on the new lot. Now let me explain.

Starting from the bottom I would put a small house, then maybe a corridor (I don't remember if the internal courtyard has already it ) and I would attach an internal courtyard to it, then another small house turned on its backside, if you'll pardon the expression: in practice the entrance of the second house would face the road that leads to the gate to the outskirts of Bahari.
Attached to the right and left of the internal courtyard I would like to place two large country houses, with a corridor attached to the back of both.
On the two sides of each of the large houses, always with a corridor, I would place an internal courtyard.
In practice I would have a central courtyard to act as a "connecting ring", so to speak, with the four houses. What I don't know is whether I can attach the courtyards to the sides of the large country houses, instead of putting rooms there, for example.
Do you think it's possible, could it be done, or would I not have the space?

In practice, there would be four houses.
They would all have their backs facing the internal courtyard, and I would attach them to it via a corridor.
And then, attached to the side walls of the country houses, again perhaps via a corridor if necessary, I would put an internal courtyard, so in the end I would have a courtyard for each corner of the lot plus a central one, so to speak.

1. Be intentional in how you want to lay it all out.

Are you going for 1 of each item, or are you aiming to put out every single color as well?

2. There's a LOT of items (more than people realize)

To do every single color of every item, I think I've used 4 plots at this point?

3. Real estate

I've seen some very cute layouts for fake buildings with the builder's items, but they will hurt you in your item count depending on what you want to accomplish

You cancel place something by moving it and then press a number key instead of placing it (make sure the number key you use has an item that you normally can place). The item you moved will look like its moved there. but in reality its still in the same place. If you move the builders block after that the item will get back into place.

Also you might want to check if you didnt float it to hight by going to kilima and back. there is a limit to how high you can float things this way.

Once you put in an island it'll feel less big. Don't doubt it till you've built it, lol. Once you have that in you can tweak the layout form there. Clutter decor helps a lot too.

You can cancel place items without help. It's just a pain bc you don't know if it's perfectly aligned until you switch back to your plot. Putting markers on the floor helps. I use the dessert plates to mark things out. You can also clip things into the wall/each other by placing a bowl/plate on the countertop and then multi-selecting by that to ignore collision with the item.

Personally I like smaller kitchens. I always try to make them fit inside of a small room. Even Medium size is too large for me. I can get 2 of everything in a single small room, but I can only accomplish it with glitching the stations partially into the walls (They are far too large otherwise).

Your kitchen does look great, though. I love the use of the Chic table for the counter tops. The color matches so well you wouldn't even notice that it was two separate sets.

I figured I'd post my kitchen as an example (it's not fully decorated though). Mine is pretty much the same size as yours, but it's not open like it. Without the island, it's way too big, but once you add in all the stuff, it's actually not so bad. I still have a big piece of unused space where the round rug is, but it doesn't feel too blank because of the layout.

Those familiar with placing buildings separate may think that it's fairly simple what I did, but that was actually the most difficult part about the entire build.

Because the courtyard is where it is, facing the way it is, there's no room between the top of the courtyard and the edge of the plot for me place a harvest house to simply separte it as you typically do.

I also didn't want to have to waste a room or harvest house to anchor it to another plot.

So what I ended up doing was simultaneously placing rooms out of bounds while separating the courtyard from the chain of rooms I made out of bounds.

I ended up having to do it at least twice, and building up the rooms around it. It took several hours.

It's the same concept as being able to add any room piece to the main house. It doesn't matter if it's a bay window, hallway, small room, etc. You can attach anything to the grand harvest house sides or back.

Which piece did you attach the hallways to? Meaning the ones that are built into the courtyard, not the stand alone pieces? It should be attached to the Harvest House and the stand alone hallway should connect the bottom room. That might be what your issue is.

I created a corridor that I then attached to the courtyard and I thought I could attach it directly to the house. Even attaching the corridor to the house and then to the courtyard, doesn't change anything though. The solid wall remains where it is.

No you can't do it that way. The courtyard "hallway" that's already on it has to attach directly to the Harvest House

This has to be attached directly to the harvest house, no pieces in between. However, if you want to do that you can always ghost pieces into place.

It worked because you used the integrated hallway piece (the piece that is a part of the courtyard) to attach it to the harvest house. If you take a hallway piece, put it on the side, then try to attach it it's not going to work.

My plan was to attach two small houses to the central courtyard that you see in the screenshot, and then two large houses on the sides and on both sides of each large house two internal courtyards. The central internal courtyard would have to act as a connecting link to the buildings that I would have built. I have the idea that there will be four independent wings and that you will have to go around from the outside to have access to each of them.

Two harvest houses can’t connect, even with other buildings between them. Attach the courtyard to the Grand Harvest House, then add a large room to the courtyard where you want to expand. It’s a bummer we can’t connect them in more ways.

My suggestion from above was the reverse of this. Attach the hallway to the large room, and then attach the room to the hallway. Then grab the hallway and move it to the courtyard. Did you do that?

i tried that yes, it didnt work. I managed to fix it by placing a harvest house, placing the hallway and room onto that, then moving it to the courtyard, for some reason that worked

In fact, in my case, given how I would have liked to arrange the various buildings, the developers did not think about this use of the corridors and their primary function, that is, connecting rooms or buildings to each other, was completely nullified.😔.

You can, but you have to use glitching to do so. The ghosting method would get you the result you want. The entire back half of my house is ghosted bc of this

I wasn't happy with how blue purple the flowers were on my tree, so I decided to change the color to mute the tone a bit. I think it looks much better now with the pinkish purple vs the original blueish purple color. Idk if it shows up well in the pic but in person it made a huge difference. Tyvm. I put a lot of time and energy into this room. It was inspired by a piece of art i found online. I still have a ways to go, but one day I may finish it XD. you need to do a quest to get the anciant galdur satue, and that will give you seeds daily, and sometimes you get the flow ones. don't remember the quest though, but pretty sure you can google it or check wiki 🙂

No, sink and cancellation method. The grove can be placed on builder floors (not sure if it's the English name of it), so no "something in the way" need here for flicking.

I used the cancellation just to place the anchor in the right place without collision issue.

I have no idea if it's clear or not… it would already be difficult to explain in my own langage, so in another one, it's very challenging. This is the best I can do ! ^^'
1/ Prepare the right height for sinking (I used a snail bug + a few wooden pavers). 2/ Anchor a wooden floor to another wooden paver, so the wooden floor is sunk underground. 3/ Temporarily move the anchor to something higher (like a crate) and attach a few more floors to get the desired shape and length to go into the out of bounds trunk (or an place you may want ; I used 3 builder floors in a L shape). 4/ Put the Grove on the last floor. 5/ Use the cancelation method to remove all the extra floors and grove, keeping just the first one attached to the anchor. 6/ Move the anchor to put the first floor at the right place (there's maybe an easier way to do this, but I'm always annoyed with collisions ; if someone knows how to get rid of them, I take it ! ^^). 7/ Switch plot to make the cancelled structure back in place.
I'm far from being an expert in glitching, so if I can do it, you probably can too ! ^^

• it doesn't work each single time, i got to 90% success but that 10% makes no sense to me and i got no idea what happens
• set up your 2nd keybind for putting down (i use V) for no reason other than it makes it work x.x
• first pull item out in position aligned with grid to see what angle u would get, i also recommend flicking on paver or blocks floor bc then u can adjust angle
• set your character position aligned with grid, what i mean is - the pov of camera the most, more than the avatar itself
• use same item as u want to put there to see final effect instantly
• best way to practice? pillar constructs on turned shelf

yeah its rare to actually get a decor bag, and then even when you do, you might not get the items you want/get duplicates of things you have

you usually get cooking ingredients, fireworks, or pitiful amounts of gold. once in a blue moon, you'll get decor, plushies, or lucky coins (which also have a low chance of getting you decor from those sets tbf)

I have a question about the nameplates you can get from Housing Tour reactions. Do you have to get all the reactions in the same week, or does it keep track of the ones you've gotten previously? Because getting 500 in a week for those top nameplates would be really difficult, but getting them over time, not as much of a problem.

If it does keep track of the ones you've gotten previously, is there any way to see how many you have already?

The reacts reset every sunday, so it has to be done within the week. Usually people save up tons of their weekly tickets to feature their home a few times, or join a vote 4 vote group on discord or other things.

Hello, I have seen a plot of land where a house was built on a stone floor. If I now place the stone floor and want to put a house on it, it won't work. Can anyone help me

You can't put houses higher or lower than the original plot's height... Perhaps the house was build with builders blocks or the stone floor was glitched into the house's lower part

It's just the floor glitched into the house, not the house put on the floors

As MeiWoy said, go check for the cancellation glitch, you'll have to put your house first, cancel its placement away and put the floors down in its place

(Or the other way, floor first, move away and put down the house)

It can depend. I usually use the middle-ground to seperate the rooms, but open if I want to make bigger ones and make it appear like 1 big construction. The door-like option I use in place of an actual door, and to make it really seperate

that said. It's harder to decorate an open room (with no seperator of any kind), so you gotta get fancy xD

It works with the cancellation method You put the floor where you want the house, move it away and cancel its placement, put your house down in the spot and reload your plot You can easily find tutorials for it, just search up "Palia cancelling method"

never really used the pillar-rug trick. Most I use is Cancel placement, and forcing an object down where it shouldnt. With those two tricks, red presents became obsolete for me haha.

Gotta say i lucked out. At first, I re keybinded mouse button 3 to number 1 of my keyboard. then it was hold left click and tap that, then I found out I didnt have to re keybind anything. Just pick up an object, get it to say something is in the way, and then hold down left click and tap any button i need to use to insert. if holding left click all the way through, it normally only takes me 1 or 2 taps of a number to insert the object.

the key is to hold left click all the time, till the object is forced down.

ive always wondered what is the determine factor as to what prevents people from certain methods. because Ive never changed any settings other than keybinds. all graphical settings have been and still are at epic. lol

honestly, I think its latency between your peripherals. basically comes down to make and model of keyboard and mouse.
