I don't know if this will help much, but it's one of the easiest visual tutorial I could find to understand the idea https://youtube.com/shorts/D-pvje8r0yw?si=ad9-YPYM-ETxWp6n But in your situation, you'll need yourself as the first black couch (to get the "something is in the way" message), your umbrella as the second black couch and a random item as the white couch I don't know if this makes sense... (If you need, I can try to record it in my game with all the right items)

It's a tricky glitch unfortunately... I believe it can help to lower your framerate to the lowest (I think it's 30 the lowest)

Hi, I'm not sure where exactly I'm going wrong or if it's even possible. I'm trying to float some flowers and turn them sideways to create a design in the air. I have accomplished this. However, I would also like to replicate the design using the same floor tile as an anchor floating the flowers in the opposite direction repeating the pattern so you see the front of the flowers from both sides. Is this possible? No matter what I've tried the flowers just end up facing the same way

Place a wall, then put and industrial shelf on it, put a pillar on the shelf. Turn the shelf upside down and attach a floor to the pillar near the ground. Add as many floor pieces as desired, add flowers lights etc. Once happy with design pick it up by the pillar, it will flip so flowers are upside down

U have the pillar in ur inventory (for example on key 1) then u take anything u can place there. Can be another pillar or a wood wall or smth like that.
U place this item somewhere next to u and then move it onto the pillar where u wanna have it later.
U need the msg „something is in the way“ to have this work! (Just like on ur second picture)
Press key 1 and left mouse click at the same time and the pillar should be there.
Can take a few tries bc the timing can be difficult in the beginning.

You can also move the bottom pillar somewhere else, place it there, put the second pillar on it, ghost the one on top away and then u can place the first one back there.
The top one u ghosted away will snap back onto the other

sorry if this has been asked before, or if this is the wrong place to ask. I'm wanting to sink chic tables into the floor to make a road, however the grass on my plot is too tall- it sticks out! I try and raise the table so it doesn't stick out anymore, but then the table becomes basically a table again you know? Does anyone have any advice? Is there a different lot type i might want to try that has shorter grass?

sadly they wont go under the tables no matter how i raise em 😛 i think amma have to put my idea on the backburner as sadly what i wanna do just doesn't seem possible yet. Maybe once I get better at messing around with glitches, or maybe something better than the chic tables will come along. Rugs under the tables DO work, but there's only so many rugs i can buy from the underground, ya know. I would likely need at least over 100 rugs so that's a no no

so the build i wanna do i a modern street or small city. So the chic tables would be the road and i'd put stone floor at either side for a pavement. So I couldn't really put the landscape items at either side. I did briefly try just layering the stone floor so the entire thing would be raised and id need some small steps, however the amount of builder's floor i'd need would put a MASSIVE dent in my decor limit, and i just dunno if it's that worth it. But ty for the suggestion tho. It'd probably work if i was doing a more rural build.

New to glitching. I'm sure there's probably an obvious solution. How would i get the iron pole on the left to change sides? Because rn the one of the left sticks out because the iron pole that anchors the item it on the inside, whereas the one on the right fits nicely. I'm new to rotating items so not sure how i'd go about setting it up so the anchor is the opposite way. Sorry if im being dumb.

i realized my entryway was still a little bland, so i added braziers to my room centerpiece (the flowers around embra's statue are designed to look like a radiating fire aura c: )

i also added the final bits and pieces to my courtyard pool, by adding lamps and candles to 'float' on the 'water' :D

The floating objects is actually a glitch, you can find loads of tutorials about it on youtube As for the trees... ||You get the flow trees after completing the quest "The Gardener's new Oneness", you get a little gardener statue for your house that has a chance to give you a random flow tree seed each IRL day As for the mutlicolor tree, it's the reward for completing the bundle of Roots ||

Are you trying to place them on the roof?

If your trying to flip the flowers over after you need to have the shelf flipped first then add the floor, place flowers on it then theyl be upside down when you pick up the block

The trees moving from one plot to another is a old bug they haven't fixed yet. If you water the tree, stay on that plot until it's growth cycle is complete for that watering and it won't move.

I've been working on my witchy area these past few days. I recreated the home from my witchy plot I still don't know how to design corridors around the groveyard—they are just so narrow, which makes it a real challenge for me, but I’m also fine with leaving it empty 😂 Now I just need the fix for the pavers, and then the area will be complete!

a 3D env artist building a 2 story house and allowing players to be able to do the same are two completely different things tbf
the latter requires a lot of work, especially bcs they have to somehow rework their system bcs its already struggling with the grand harvest house(not being able to change window size at the 2nd floor when a room is attached)
a lot of players want 2 story for the whole house, but they only have limited ressources and stuff like a new map expansion is catering to a lot more players so its somewhat understandable that nothing more happened as of now
maybe 2 story houses will pop up in their roadmap which will be published in the next few months

but yeah wish we would get a bit more variety when it comes to our homes eventually as well

honestly my build was kinda different than most would do, its more of a climbing tower so i put up walls around the centre square then had the stairs roate up around that, i used builders blocks, so a lot of jumping involved but im considering adding some more to them to make it a bit less frustrating to climb XD

I'm trying to build over the lake. Has this been patched so this technique doesn't work anymore? Or is there something more needed than just placing the tile?

as a brief explanation: the top part of the build is a square made up of 4 builders floors, and on two opposite sides i lined them with 2 pillars. (they look so bad because of the recent update...)

the reason i used those pillars to line those sides is ecause pillars don't interact well with the floors anymore. they used to connect to the edges and corners fine, but they don't now. the legs of the build are 2-pillars tall, and i connect them to the top using the sides i connected pillars to.

DO NOTE: it seems like certain sides of the pillars don't have ANY connecting points, so you will likely need to take them off and reattach them to figure out what sides let you connect other builders pieces to. it's INCREDIBLY annoying and the hardest part of this build. in fact, two of the tent legs don't connect to the top due to this annoying bit! they're standalone and are simply placed in a way to look like they're connected to the top, all because i didn't have the spoons to be trying and failing for hours on end when the builders blocks were teleporting several rooms over.

aside from these notes, i can't tell you what other black magic i did to get it to work aside from the equivalent of throwing everything at the wall until something sticks. i can only thank my patience three patches ago when i built my curtain walls for my courtyard, because THAT took 6ish hours to do since the bellflower drapes have really tiny allowance for connecting to pillars, and i DIDN'T have to deal with the screwy connection points introduced the patch after.

if you ever want to come over and just like... stare at it for a bit, let me know c: i play less these days, but i still like to try new things, and can do that while you puzzle out what the heck kind of tesseract i put together

I was lead to believe you need the message "something is in the way" to flick something into place, however and I'm not sure if this is known and I'm just finding out or not, but you can take a wood paver and just place it where it's a valid location and flick items there...

Basically the item you use to flick is first placed to the ground(out of inventory) and the item you want to flick somewhere comes from inventory

I would use yardwork stone pillars I think they are called, not the poles but they are kinda thick, you could try stacking a bunch of different plants in front of the camping log seats to make it look bushy maybe? Idk or you could use glitches to get the fences go anywhere you want!

Struggling to place wallpaper on floor. Am I misunderstanding this glitch? 1) Place builder's block. 2) Enter placement mode and drag block back into my character model. 3) Press the hotkey that corresponds with the wallpaper in my inventory. ?? The wallpaper always briefly flashes on the floor but I can never get it to actually place.

Sinking is just floating in reverse Just keep in mind the initial height you start at off the ground is how far your item will sink and how far you move it away to cancel is how far the item will sink from your anchor

The easiest way is to make the wall shelf floor combo, put your anchor on the ground beside it then place the item on top, adjust the height of the platform to the height you want the item sunk at.

so what you need to do is anchor it to the ground: obstacle flick it on a paver and float it with cancel method. so it will float on top of your shelf. the paver needs to be placed outside, you can hide it with smth.

otherwise the result is as in picture 2.

You could replace them with the industrial shelves and dye butcher blocks and add them on top leaving spaces along the edges to create a carpet runner effect

Settings I changed: set a 2nd bind for "confirm move" as V (though you don't actually press V, I've just been told it's necessary), set fps to 30 (not necessary but makes it easier), and set graphics to epic (I just did this to make it extra laggy, don't think its required). Next, you have to learn "obstacle flicking". Once you have that down, there seems to be two methods: first method requires a left click quickly followed by pressing the hotkey for the item you wish to place. The second method requires you to keep left click held down, then press the hotkey for the item you wish to place. I was only able to get the first method to work. [Edited to add the phrase wallpaper on floor for anybody searching this in the future]

I'm not sure if it's an actual thing that's just what I called it. Took a long time to figure out how to float the flowers sideways then how to flip the anchor around and have them floating the opposite direction. Luckily once I got stuck someone ws helpful enough to look at what I was doing and find the missing factor (beginning height = distance objects float away from eachother)

I basically just started by watching videos on how to create floating flower arches then decided to play with rotational floating untill I got the image to be replicated and merged together from the opposite side
