Heres the clip, What I did is put the present on a shelf at a height that the fish sits nice on the pond, i drag the present away and pull out another item in my inventory that can be placed (flower in the video) and then place the fish on top of the present and move the present towards the water.

I use methods that are called: Obstacle flick, Cancel Placement/Method, Group Select (not actually a method itself), Rug trick which works with group select, or Dessert Bowl method which also is only working with group select.

And then there are different variations of Cancel Placement.. Something is cancelled elsewhere to merge or float items, or that the item is not being interrupting when placing other item.. etc

I think it's easier to learn the flick by putting a wallpaper on the floor. Search a yt video regarding that and once you successfully do that you will know how to flick.

To my knowledge at least at the moment you can only have a tree inside a building if you obstacle flick in directly on anything that is part of the building. If you have the tree inside of the building while being on top of or connected to any decor item then the tree will end up next to the entrance of your plot when you leave your plots and come back. So in short. Obstacle flicking is for now the only thing I can think of that will work. @arctic pendant

Also, in one video long time ago saw someone ”throwing” the tree inside a house with a method where she had lagged the game so badly that the ”throwing” inside a house was possible..

You would probably need to place it with someone helping you. You would position both the tree and the building with 2 characters. 1 character has the tree and the other has the building. Then you would place them down at the exact same time. The tree will technically be on the grass and poke through the floor. It might also be possible to do this solo using the load button when switching plots and picking up the building but I have not tried this myself.

I had the same issue. I floated the tree off a red present so the tree was at the correct height for being in the conservatory on the terrace. I made sure there was plenty of distance between the tree and the present so I could hide the present outside the conservatory and have the tree still inside. I then hide the present under some builders blocks and other stuff. I'm on PC so not sure you could do this with a switch, but it is red present shinaigans.

How did you get it on the tree?

this is something easily adjusted, thankfully. i'd be shocked if we didn't get an upgrade with the elderwoods expansion. the hurdle to get over is the fact that your character brings the data of what's in your storage (not lockboxes) to any map you go to, so that you can fulfill quests without having to have quest items in your inventory. it's a great QoL, but it does have its impacts on the game in the form of errors and increased lag, as the more stuff you have in your storage, the more data the game has to transfer with you.

10000 items, not including unlimited furniture (which ALSO carries over in the data, as some quests require furniture items), can very quickly cause problems. and it already has for some players who come here asking for tech help.

understandable but several games allow you to drag the data with you to fullfill quest requirements and still simplify the stacking and make it count as 1, those games offer only 600 storage slots but up to 500 or a 1k stacking

you are correct! unfortunately, palia is coded in a really inelegant way; what other games can do, this game can't be held to the exact same expectations due to its codebase.

ughh I do understand the trouble from the infamous spaghetti code, I'm a life long runescape addict player now in recovery for almost 2 years and I know how painful cane be to ask for QOL updates when the coding teams have to deal with a mess

I put all the stuff i wanted inside the cauldron on red presents or the small makeshift table (depending on the height of the items) and merged it with four spring fewer fire pits and then i just put the ranchhouse fountain onto it, switched plots and thats it! Thank you so much!

yeahhh. i'm in IT, and from the outside looking in with professional knowledge, it'd take a TON of work, and palia isn't profitable enough for them to have the team, time, or resources to dedicate to all of that. i understand the decisions they made to program the game the way they did, but it was not very scaleable without huge drawbacks like taking a really long time to hire the right people with the right expertise. time they don't really have, and people that don't exist in abundance.

I always use a bowl to mark the corners of how big I want it to be and then I just put the fire pits as near together as possible with ghosting (placing one, ghosting it away, placing the next,…). The nice part is u don’t need to change plots to see the results bc u can just turn them off or on after merging and they jump back to their place.

I think it would also need constant maintenance because new things get discovered and sometimes others stop working so it probably wouldn't be super accurate.

i was shown a discord that had a masterpost, actually! I have one now. I know and understand the drawbacks of a masterpost having made several over the years, but it's an undeniably important tool, especially for accessibility, and there's lots of ways to make one that removes the burden of only one person having to curate it by themself. Just grab the 2 top blocks and move them on the grass, release them by pressing a nr button in your inventory (so you don't actually place them)

You have to have an item in your inventory that can be placed down when you do the cancelation method

Heres a short little clip, you can attach most items to pavers, red present or items that have a surface area. I use the cancelation method to cancel the paver location or the log, and then place the bug on top to float, move the paver and it will float whatever distance u dragged it from.

there are 3 candles there that you can use as alternative (the 1&3 arm candelabra and the candle ornament) that can be floated i would say, or just placed as normal on the ground or tables etc. they will be available anytime once you have the recipe of course

Same concept just the opposite of floating, mess with the height of the shelf to where u drag on the ground to get the item to sink how far you would like. You can also float it off pavers, or other items in order to get the height you need. Doesnt have to be a shelf, i like using the one in my first clip i sent to get items at different angles and what not, So if its not something you need angled its easy just playing with the height of the pavers, builders or whatever else you'd like to get the height you want./

▶Group Select Glitches are much more than just the gourmet bowl trick (I would suggest watching TheLilianGames, that's where the trick came from, & you can learn all the information you should need.}
▶Then a different kind of Group select trick is kind of a float glitch {Then I have stuff regarding things like pushing red presents out of bounds}
▶I would suggest looking up EzOak for Architectural Glitches {namely detaching rooms with 2 people, & pushing assemblies out of bounds}
▶ The only published content that I am currently aware of regarding the "Merge Wall" is Snap Dragons "Merging Items - a housing guide" video from over a year ago.

I'm becoming desperate in need of help. Im trying to merge a ceiling object and a wall object together to stick on a wall. I've seen it done, so I know it's possible, but I've tried every which way possible. I'm trying to merge PalTech Ceiling Fan with a large wall wagon wheel. To cover any basic suggestions: I have watched many YouTube vids (from all major glitchers) multiple times (not stretching the truth), I have twisted and contorted those wooden wall/floor/pillar combos every which way, I have floated, flicked, dipped and dived. I can't do it, I just can't. I am begging someone to show me the ropes, if they can find it in their heart to help a frustrated and struggling fellow glitcher. It is the LAST thing I'd like to have completed on my primary home.

Then ofc Rug Method, similar to gourmet bowl trick. Then if you are interested in cheating the item limit, try Makeshift Tent trick( I don't know if it has a name but I saw it here https://discord.com/channels/1161084808454217768/1310486297416040520and I was teached by Drake Lance ) AND Winterlights Candle trick, where you use the Winterlights candle with groupselect to place items where they wouldn't normally go! Anyhow, I'd say you already have quite a good list there 🙂

You have to keep test- placing the round pavers, like go to place them and then cancel it if it's the wrong size, then try until you get the right size. Some people put a tons of them down, then stack them in the sizes they have, then use them without having to do that lil selection dance every time

Thanks for posting - this sheet is definitely great for those who understand the lingo and basics of glitching - perhaps not so much for visual learners - but I'm going over each bullet point and so far it's an excellent way to recall any glitches that could be used to maneuver an object the way someone needs to - I can see a lot of work and time has been put into this information!! ❤️ - My own personal issue (and for others possibly), I'm not able to strategically combine glitches to create what I envision, like with the wagon wheel merged with the ceiling fan. Fortunately, I exhausted every glitch direct from YouTube, (yet was still unable to combine what was needed to create the final product) - BUT that's where Mortis comes in, who is so generous with his time and patience. I've never met anyone so helpful to nobody's like myself on Discord before. Many expert level folks will stick their nose up at the likes of commoners like me (thankfully Tiny Dragon has his own server, as well and gives assistance to many, but I hate the idea of bothering him when he is most likely bombarded with messages) - but thank you again for posting, I will 100% be utilizing this sheet ❤️

I feel like the game has a somewhat similar plot to Horizon Zero Dawn in that ancient humans went extinct and something terrible happened which lead to that occurring - then some more or less primitive society (not like tribalistic or anything, just not technologically advanced in any way) took hold and developed themselves across the lands - which means the game has both more primitive (such as hunting and gathering) and futuristic elements to it (such as flow and grand architecture able to withstand lava) - so I really wish the game had more or less some kind of cool, cyber looking furniture to work with - like forget cottagecore, mystical vibes - my plot would be this theme all the way

Is there a bug with playing rooms? I can’t place small rooms on anything other than a hallway currently, even though I have small rooms connected to other small rooms on the same plot from the past. Nothing is in the rooms, nothing is outside blocking. Sometimes the nodes don’t even show up, other times they do and it says there’s something in the way when there isn’t. I’m not at the building limit either, figured I asked in case I missed something?

(Also, maybe the game is drunk for the limit ? I'd say to try reloading your plot to see if the number changes, to be sure In the wiki, it's said that every house, hallway, room and the courtyard as well count as 1 point towards the building limit...)

Yes and no- ou can have as many grand harvest house bases as you can fit pretty much, you just need to add another base to start another wntire section of 15 allowed buildings onto that next harvest house as a base

So you could have another house and attach some rooms to it and have the layout really up close to the second set of layout so it's almost like a full plan, or work in a courtyard with buildings (not the actual courtyard) and doors to get around/skirt that layout limit. That's if you don't want to get into the Wonderful World of Glitching!

However... You can have 30 buildings (Rooms, houses, etc...) on a SINGLE plot...

So you've maxed that house in it's 15 room requirements... Leaving another bunch as a "separate" building...

The cup method is basically what I've used on my entire house since I'm horrible with computers and that's about the extent of my glitching abilities, I watched videos and tried flicking but i just cant get it to work

@maiden spindle Sorry but that is just the specific method Theoden showed me before, never seen anyone else use cancel placement like THAT, and haven't seen anyone else do it like that ( the "Cancel + Fly" is what I'm talking about here). Ofc there is many other ways and variations of Cancel Placement, but I just credit Theoden when it's used like that specific way. I still don't know who was the first player to figure out Cancel Method, and Kit Temple showed it to me a long time ago. So it's hard to credit people who you don't even know.

One thing is sure, I haven't invented any of these tricks.

Okay so heres another one.... I've see videos where people put shelves on the front walls of the harvest house to suction items together, would that still work if you put a floor on the shelf the add a floor item and a shelf item? Also if it does work would that create a shelf placing ability or only a floor placing ability? Or technically both?
