It looks like one end of the hallway is open concept and the other is a small door frame. Since the door is part of the harvest house it will show and the small doorframe would be set before ghosting it in.

Unless you want two doors, then they might be ghosted separately

no i just want the one doorway like the one in the tour, but if i place a room to the hallway and try to ghost, it wont ghost just the hallway or at all, same with a porch. im not sure how to explain but it wont jut ghost the hallway if something else is attached that i can figure out

Trees into buildings...I anchored to a red present with enough distance between where I wanted the tree and a place to put the present that wasn't obvious, since obsticle flick only works for me 1 time out of 10,000 tries.

if it says something is in the way, cancel place other stuff elsewhere meanwhile

or, you could even try obstacle flick the fence where you want it to start

Hey i floated a glowbug with the height of 19 builder wood blocks. Is this too high because it came back to my entrance?

Yep, I did a test and the safe height was around 10 blocks below, too high will have the same result you got. But also it's a trick to bypass the plot limit, the yeeted items can be transferred to other full limit plot and be placable

Decorate how you want, everyone enjoys doing different things. You dont have to do a cozy build if you dont want to, I always take screenshots of ideas i like when home touring and reference those when decorating and it helps.

you can flick wall paper to floors and flooring to walls - o'flick for walls using a hangable item and the flooring, for floors using a floor placeable item and wallpaper - some papers and flooring do not work nicely some do - there a some vids out her that show how

I’ve found the courtyard to be really buggy in a few corners. I’ve layed mine with terracotta pavers and without cheating I can slide them into the sides but the corners are weird? I thought maybe it was the plot map but no it’s the courtyard itself. Try again at different times because after reset it worked for me randomly

Try different sides when you place down the new block to flick, if you group select pick up and the crosshair is looking at the cancelled block that's a no no try a different side, it should look at the new placed block when moving to be corrected.

Oh the groups with small items - make sure you look at the bowl in your case when group selecting, it chose the center of the following grouped item and it tricky sometimes with big items when their size collided with other structures and showed something in the way

okay so im having this issue that is driving me crazy. i had a lily ratan book shelf with some fish on display. i wanted to swap their position and have never had an issues before, but for some reason it no longer allows me to place the fish tanks on the shelf? here's references:

I know this is going to sound stupid but I genuinely have watched so many videos on it and I still don't understand it 😅 it's like, how does placing the bowl help put the thing on the shelf.. do I place the bowl on the fish bowl or on the shelf itself? Do I place the tank on the ground and bowl on top? Does it matter if it's in the bottom? My brain overcomplicates things and then when I go to try it it just doesn't work for me sadly

The bowl trick, tricks the game into thinking you only have the bowl so the item you are grouping has the same hitbox. place the bowl on the fishtank, group select (for me on keyboard is the alt key) and put it where you would like. You know youll have the bowl selected for group when you hear a "clink" sound.

most of the gourmet items work, so soup bowl, dessert or cup etc should be fine to use.

Any small item works, choosing those gourmet items because they're the smallest and easy to move large stuff around

Yeah exactly, that's why I have paused on making any new plots for quite some time now.
I have 3 fully decorated plots (maxed out) and a couple more works in progress, but there are only a handful of furniture sets in game I prefer to use over the other styles, and without new dye options any new plot just feels very similar since I don't like any of the dye choices we have

I wish they would give them to us before Elderwoods release cuz rn we have plenty of downtime to decorate.

Ive seen it done with the buildings or a shed made out of building blocks, depends on what you want to do with it id say. Since building blocks you can only have 1000 total on a plot and counts toward your item limit more extensively than just one the harvest homes.

I've been having a ton of fun decorating my new plot. I built a castle, like the minecraftian I've been. 😄 I wish I could color the stone like the terracotta bricks I used to make in minecraft. I'm investigating what rugs will look good on the walls, to add some color. Also, you can color the gourmet butcher's block (or cutting board or whatever it is). The banners are nice, but only some of them can be recolored. I might try swapping out some of the stone blocks for copper or gold.

It's either this, Windows Client album, or the other album for "normal" screenshots that are screenshots taken by PrtSc. All my Palia album screenshots used to be in the path that lead to WindowsClient Screenshots album. an alternative that you can do would be to sink a builders pillar into the center of the stone pillar
This will give you a floor surface that you can just place the lighthouse on directly

Sure.
I just place a block on the floor (or wall if ur putting wallpaper on the floor) and then drag it over onto the opposite area.
With the wallpaper or flooring in the inventory, I keep dragging the box around spamming the click and inventory button of the wallpaper at the same time and it will eventually go on there.

i leaned remote anchoring with an item that is intended to go on the ground, when reloading the lot the floated item will snap to the front lot. i found a solution was to leave it on a present and it will stay after reloads. maybe some other item would work but i havent tested

Sometimes it will teleport off the item if its too far from the anchor, i was doing this with logs on the present and one of them were just slightly too far so i had to adjust its placement, and was able to fix it. Just something to note.

Metallic building block functionality - kind of got replaced with using a rug... but not really. Because rugs are a floor item.

In some cases it isn't, in the case of the building ghosting. If players are on the switch they are out of luck. Because it is now limited to being a PC only glitch. And thus it's none replicable. It might be only for switch users but it still counts.

Same with flicking, it's now a PC only glitch. So... sorry switch players who were able to use the old Inventory Flick. & would love to use the new Obstacle Flick... they're again out of luck.

You will want to select your red present, move it somewhere away and with something in say your number 2 slot, instead of placing down the present press 2 to select that item. It will leave the present where it is as long as it was somewhere with valid placement. Then it leaves where it previously was open to just normally place a new object into the same spot. Then, either switch plots or exit and return to your home plot and your present (and therefore anchored item) should snap back into place!

If you don't want the bowl to have the wood from the log item inside it, just put a couple pavers under the sink (move the sink on top with the bowl group select) and then move the entire thing with group select, (do not place, pull out a different placeable item for me it was the camping bench) and then put the log item in the same spot you originally had the sink. Plot hop, and then hop back and it should be merged.

yeah and it gets so fun when playing with them!

in some cases, dessert bowl is better because it's smaller, but I'd say in most of the cases rug trick beats the bowl. sometimes just need to cancel place items that are interrupting (usually functional items like prep stations etc).

also usually the problem is the bowls itself, for example here when it touches the prep station, it says something is in the way

Some grounded items, can't be placed on the builders block but can be placed on a stack of two pavers and removable that two pavers make it float a bit off above ground anchor less.

Did you glitch a floor underground under the box ? If not, you can't put it there... Maybe your could by aiming at the top ones, but I think that'll just build the wall up there and not toward the ground

Ty sm 💗 atm I’m at work, will send a video tutorial later, but basically what I do there is: I use a shelf and place the first item ( dessert plate is the anchor) , and then I use a focus point and I rotate/move the shelf and place it. Then, I take the shelf again and rotate it horizontally (normally) and Cancel Place it. Then I Cancel Place the first item elsewhere, and place the second item. Then I grab the shelf and place it, and that’s when all of the cancelled items move back. But the Key to success is to remember where the focus point was (kind of how the shelf and the item was before it was cancelled.)
