So I actually did it in a really botched way lol, the bookshelves are on some industrial wall shelves which I’ve hidden inside of the floor cabinets, took me a couple hours to get it to work but it can be done without the red present lol
The only real glitching involved is the gourmet bowl trick and a lot of scooting things as close as possible lol

Ugh I am closing into my plot item limit. And I just put down a large Harvest house with 14 rooms. I’ve only “finished” (some need some items in empty places like book shelves) 7 rooms. Does anyone have advice on what to remove to bring the plot limit down? I know fencing, removing some flowers where they won’t take away from the atheistic, using other plots to dedicate to gardening, or just downsize my house and make another one my other plots. But are there any other creative ideas out there to decrease my items on my main plot? Thank you!!! 🙏

If you have a lot of trees on another of your plots - these count for all plots, so taking them down reduces the items without anything missing on the main plot. 😉 (It there are original trees/bushes, beware though, they will disappear everywhere if you take them down. But planted trees you can just put in storage.)

Yeah I don’t have many trees, maybe ten. That would def be the first thing I would take down including fencing.

Definitely going to take up some pavers too. Those wooden pavers! I have 55 wooden pavers alone. I am on Switch and apparently upping the decor limit will only be on PC if they do. Boo!

If that is the case it's more like yay, because it's really annoying that you can open a new plot and it has already hundreds of items because it counts things from other plots. So it's a win and more item space for switch then

My suggestions for clutter is use 'busy' wallpaper to make it look more cluttered than it is, use big clutter items to fill space, put the clutter where it has most impact, rather than places few people will see, create focal points instead of covering every surface, and use pavers and plants to suggest a route rather than make a complete roads to everywhere. Also lawn looks very pretty with just grass.

Even if you manage to place that door there, there would still be that wall so you can't really use that door and that might be the reason why we don't really see doors like that. Tbh I've never seen a door placed like that so I guess no one hasn't figure out how to fix that problem

It’s happening if you place those funtional items on builders items and place those on top of floors. You need to anchor them on the ground

You have to attach the perserve jar to something you place on the ground outside. You might be able to find a technique that works from coadredalert's videos on youtube. Direct links have a habit of getting onto the bad side of the mod team.

I'm thinking what is needed to anchor a functional item.. 1. have functional item (like preserve jar or soil), crates and pillars. 2. place crate to the ground. 3. cancel the crate elsewhere (the distance is important) 4. obstacle flick/ or place the functional item to canceled crate. 5. move crate to make the functional item to float (it is anchored now to the ground) 6. move the functional item to wanted position by moving the anchor. 7. if necessary, use pillars to change the height of the crate and item.

Hey I do know. You start your build from your actual plot and add floors all the way to that pond.

make sure that u own every single square of ur plot first tho so all writs unlocked

Try to look up with your camera and if that doesn't help, remove some of those nearby items and try again. That worked for me

Hihi. I am trying to rebuild my house. I have two rooms a small and a medium attached to each other and to the main house. When I try to remove them is says disconnect sockets first. But I have tried various key clicks and nothind seems to work. I can move the two rooms but then I have to put them back attached to the main house. What am I doing wrong and what do I need to do?

I spun it, I had a bay window on the back but I removed that. There is only one attachment point between the two rooms. I can change the shape of the entry from the med to small room, but I can't do anything with the same wall in the small room. Here's what I have. Ok, something weird is going on with my Homestead Wall Lamps. I put two on either side of a side door but I don't get the option to turn them on. I have the same type of lamp on either side of another door and they're working as intended.

Decided to start making a museum plot yesterday, here's what I got so far. Am going full emberborn with this, which is why it's so empty and dark rn because 1) am out of pal, and 2) I haven't even unlocked all the recipes from that set yet Also all my fish are on my main plot rn so disregard the very empty aquarium part of the build lol. For the gazebos, I intend to put the kitsuu shrine thingie and the silverwing one in one of each once I get them (I been slacking on bundles lately). I'm not fully decided on a couple things and am open to suggestions:

• For the skill trophies, I'm still deciding between using dressers or wall shelves, or both! (The 2 by the door get dressers regardless due to lack of wall space )
• For the mining section, I'm not sure if I should display gems on the wall and trophies on a dresser or the other way around;
• Still not sure if I'm satisfied with the wallpapers for bug and aquarium rooms;
• I feel like I should add wallpaper to the outside but not sure which one(s);
• For the upstairs, I don't really have a plan beyond making it a chill space with some bookshelves, any ideas are welcomed.

Yeah most of the lights in this game barely do anything. The only lights I like and use are the kilima and homestead ones and even then I have to use multiple.

Yes, the floors needs to be NOT attached to each other.

And even if the floor pieces are not attached to each other, you can still move them all with multiselect (alt key)

Tbf it /could/ be a glitch they didn’t purposely do. I somehow got 3 sets of all the skills trophies (bronze, silver and gold) plus a fourth set of the hunting trophies. The achievements just randomly retriggered when I went to the maji market when it first came back. 🤷‍♀️ it could obviously also be cheating, but weird ish happens lol

Lol I think I have duplicates of a random trophy set and then one of the fish achievements.

Months and months ago a few achievements re-triggered when the achievements bugged out and we couldn't see what we had caught/cooked (and subsequently couldn't trade because the game didn't recognize we had gotten them)

Heck I ended up with many extra of the Grow All Out furniture because it was glitching in my storage and letting me pull second seeds from it (some others had the opposite issue of it not letting them get seeds at all even full grown)

All games have flaws, but I do think the devs do a pretty decent job of keeping most things in check.

Fully expecting the plush trading to come with plenty of hiccups 😂

Specific to the grow all out, it was so weird.
I think it's because I just have a ridiculous amount of crafted furniture in storage

Basically I would grow it fully, collect the seed, drop the grown furniture piece in my storage, and for whatever reason it saved it in storage at the stage where it still has a seed (like how the flowers and trees save at different growth stages)

Then when I pulled it back out of my inventory I could collect another seed.
It wasn't every time, but it happened with some regularity

i dunno if it's just me but i dont like trophy rooms. a bunch of things just thrown together isnt very visually interesting even if they took a lot to achieve. i have some trophies sprinkled around my place where they seem to make sense to me (cooking trophy in the kitchen for instance)

I share your feelings on trophy rooms.
I did have one for a while, but when I needed to reduce item count, it was the first thing to go.
I don't need to display all the fish or bugs. Just a few of the most rare ones is sufficient, and I can just scatter them throughout the house instead of just piling them all into one room.

for the making it harder part: something like that is expected, glitches are glitches in the first place, so if they change stuff and it accidentally changes how glitches work thats how it is

used to be able to swap plot without getting out of the big build menu thats activated by H. it was used to do the ghosting method to get stuff like the gazebo glitched partway into your home and directly attach it, now swapping plots boots you out of that menu. theres no other reason why they would change that.

if no landscape the loading is simply skipped

(just simplified it actually builds up the plot slowly then loading screen starts so in that small timeframe we are still able to ghost glitch
thats why ghosting from no landscape to landscape is easier to do and requires less spamming compared to changing between the same plots )

• additionally it was maybe even intended for one specific reason: a lot of players ghosted rooms on accident, which is definitely a flaw in the system
  we need to keep in mind that a lot of players don't even know about glitches

I just got done redoing my entire plot. Move the house as far back as I could, rebuilt the garden with terra cotta paving stones and moved the various outbuildings around. In the courtyard I have some of the smaller crafting tools (worms, seeds, pickler, loom, and campfire), and outside in the pavilion nearest the courtyard are the larger crafting tools. Looking for some ideas for a project here. Might be the upcoming update has a solution in the new decor, but in case it doesn't I'm already brainstorming. Want to create something that looks like a miniature floating island. The part about making it float ain't a problem, but can't seem to find out how to make it look good. Concept is a small diorama with a miniature temple on top to symbolize the Temple of the Gales.

The surface has to be roughly 1 1/2 large crates wide and 1 large crate deep. I am trying to avoid any kind of visible z-fighting (the flashing that occurs when pieces overlap too perfectly), if it's hidden that's fine. Been experimenting using round pavers and stacking them like an uneven upside-down pyramid like in the picture, but I ended up not liking it. It didn't look good in my opinion. Maybe there is a trick to making it look better with the round pavers, or something else entirely. Open to suggestions.

I have a problem that might not be solved xD I ghosted two hallways next to the conservatory.. and now I can't paint the walls heading to conservatory (because I can't move the conservatory either) 😄 .. But.. the reason I ghosted these hallways next to it, was to hide crates and pillars that are anchoring the soils inside the conservatory 😄 So... from solving one problem to creating a new one. But maybe I can live with the fact that there is some white walls to be seen, if any.. but perfectionist is a perfectionist XD

Hey guys! On Switch: I was moving my pool the other day which is a bunch of building blocks and I noticed I was able to place it out of bounds. I don’t know why. Sadly, the way the system is set up is very unfair. I purposely avoid the 'trending' homes, unless it's a friend or it's recommended as a really special home that other people have praised for all the hard work people in. I go to the other tab and select homes with no votes or low votes and tour those instead. If I enter a home that has nothing on it, they don't get my vote and if I see a description that tells me 'pick #4 - I also avoid those. Some of the homes I've reacted too are simple but I can tell that maybe they're just starting out or just simple homes that you can see they put their hearts into.

Oh if you are on PC, make sure your build can be loaded by a Switch player and not crash. ie keep decorations in the load in area to a minimum so they can load in and vote. I've seen some pretty elaborate load in areas that almost took out my PC, a Switch would definately crash and that person wouldn't be able to vote. Make it easy for everyone to vote.

Yes, you can put 8 chests on all your plots and they will connect.

Wall is canceled. Pillar is placed. It works because blocks close together, but not actually "connected", can all be grabbed together with the Group select.

you can search palia+switch+float, tiny dragon has a video demonstrate how to float/sink and place out of bound on switch.

the most basic thing is put a few builder pieces on ground, close to each other but not attached, then multiselect the last one, place the whole thing on the edge of edit area, then pick up the pieces you don't want.

No, the plots have to be touching. When I had all nine plots touching before I almost never had to water the apple tree in the center. Now I have to water it every time the clock changes. But for some reason I have to fertilize less. Go fig.

I remember getting in a small argument with someone that kept saying that the game runs poorly for us cause switch is old hardware (which is true) and can't handle it, but from my pov, the devs chose to bring the game to switch while knowing that full well so they really dropped the ball when it comes to making the gameplay experience good for us. But I certainly understand the pc frustration if the drop in graphics really is caused to help us on switch. Even if it isn't, still sucks

Most materials are way easier to collect than buy. I got 450 sapwood logs in less than 5 minutes today and had enough to craft all the camping stuff and still have some remaining. Some materials can be easier to buy, I agree. But the common ones? Guess it depends if you feel like it's easier to gain money than get materials yourself. As a casual player myself now, I find it way easier to get the materials than buy them, and I'd run out of money way more than I run out of materials if I were to buy my materials

Is it a known glitch to have missing items on your plot due to the update? All my kitchen appliances are missing. Even checked other plots. Nothing.

So ignoring that it’s clearly a different snail, has it been pointed out that the trailer also shows a ramp builders block that is one high by one deep (normally 1x2) that we also don’t have? Or that it shows fencing on the terraces but the game won’t let it be placed there?? What the hey

I don’t understand why there are so many placement limitations that seem unnecessary. If I want a rock terrace in my house why can’t I? I can stick my oven outside but not a little tree inside?

all my preserve jars went missing along with a chest. I found 1 jar in my house steps and 2 jars/chest outside the grid lines. I have heard some were flying on their plots, no luck for me.
