So the only thing stopping crab pot pie from being 20 seconds per pie is the menu jumping lol. If you coordinate who starts 1st 2nd 3rd 4th on chopping assignments it's like idk 40 seconds?

It has the potential to be less but the menu jumping when someone starts a task is a b-word. (Bad word!!)

you can get them all without buffs, but it's hard 😄

The daily Rummage Piles are supposed to appear in Bahari and Kilima. Do they appear in both and we have to choose which one we take? Are there some pieces we can only get in Kilima and some we can only get in Bahari?

marriage no idea, no roadmaps either, but we recently had the update allowing mulltiple houses on the plot + increases of buildable amounts (30 up from 15), tis an end goal for this stuff to go further, but they're being cautious with plot assets loading, lag etc

if you check their site for news then dev updates, thos're the ones you get to see future stuff in

I am not sure if this is where i need to put this but I am trying to complete Reth's Come Clean quest and it seems to have glitched. I am supposed to "follow up with Reth" but he doesn't have the flag nor will it give me anything about the quest in his dialog.

quest items will stay in your inventory after the quest is complete, can't get rid of them. just chuck them into your chests since they don't take up storage space.

Is there a trick to catching a Void Ray in the Palia Mines, besides using a glow worm? I have used over 200 glow worms and have been trying for over a month to catch one and I can't ever catch one.

there are buffs that can help u if u catch it but not that it appears faster, such as sushi, fisher brew, fish stew, also hooks from einar if u are lvl 10 and got some medals

I have a question. I really love cooking in games, but I feel like the cooking Palia isn't worth it when playing solo. For the time it takes to gather the ingredients and then the mini game the profit seems small and not worth it compared to other activities. Am I looking at it wrong?

Solo cooking needs work and I think S6 has taken in that feedback. S6 does have a community based mindset at the same time though, and want people performing activities together.

With the game being in beta they're taking in feedback and implementing changes to make the game it's best before launch. You should leave your feedback for them officially if you'd also like to see changes for solo players.

Yeah, it's not great form for a cozy game in the MMO format. Especially for bugs and fish that are only up a few minutes in real time per hour. RNG works in other MMOs but I'm not sure how present "epic" drops should really be in a "cozy" game.

It's quite strict with the various time limitations too, which your standard MMO doesn't have. You can get your rng crap in a standard MMO on your own time. It's very limiting in Palia.

I have all my star bugs and star fish, but yeah, I relied on videos and podcasts. Where it doesn't have a place in a cozy game is limiting rare or epics to a 10~ minute window. The average player doesnt get to play 6+ hours a day. It's not cozy.

Standard MMOs don't have such strict windows on RNG drops. It's extremely limiting

Something about how speed boost didn't properly apply harvest boosts, so you can end up with say a 4/5 of increased yields despite applying it "everyday"

Currently starstones just got released and they will VERY likely be nerfed but right now they are the highest profit activity! And before you ask, theres no such thing as the best gardening layout :P Its very well equalized and very dependent on how many crafters you have and how often you log in/play

I previously had two medium rooms connected to my main house (by two hallways) decorated to look like a barn. On one of these was a porch facing my garden.
I just built a new Harvest House to disconnect the barn from the main house. Now I'm unable to attach the porch to the medium rooms (unless it's on the end (which is facing my house).

This is really frsutrating me. It just says something is in the way, but doesn't tell me what. I've moved everything out of the way. What has changed???

I tried setting it back to how it was and the porch won't connect that way either.

yeah its just that a porch is the same width as a large room so if you wanna place it "sideways" on a room that is connected to another room its not possible unless its a large room, because the porch will clip into that wooden beam that connects the 2 rooms

the thing is, the way it was before the medium with the porch was in the middle, not at the end and for some reason the porch is a bit "glitchy" in the way that if you place the medium + porch first and THEN afterwards add another medium at the end it will work

but if you have it the other way around that the medium with the porch is at the end, you have to place them last which will not work then

so if the medium + porch is already placed the game lets you add another medium to it, if another medium is placed first and then you want to add medium+porch it doenst work

just how the game works ATM, nothing you can do i think

what you can try is to make it like it was before, then place a new farm house and then drag both mediums + porch onto it, maybe that will work?

a lot of items have this problem, for example when you place a piece of fence and then plant a tree close to it, you can place the tree pretty freely and even clip into the fence. Then if you want to remove the fence and place it again exactly where it was before it wont work anymore because it will clip with the tree 🤷

If your inventory is full you are fine. If you are overflowing, the newer items you picked up will be lost after a period of time. So use the "return home" button on your map or use your digital feet to go home and unload. @fast totem

I would not count on this. As of Build 0.168 sept 12, 2023 the following bug fix was mentioned: "Treasure chests that will overflow your inventory can no longer be picked up, risking items being destroyed." So I will acknowledge that your experience is contrary to this. Maybe the devs are in conflict over this. But I have yet to see any documentaiton to the contrary from overflow being at risk. I have been wrong before so if you show me official documentation. I will be happy to be wrong.

I've never had the bottom row time out, but I can confirm if you're off-plot and keep gaining items while the overflow is full, it'll keep pushing items into storage (even if storage is overfull - I sometimes get 12,000/10,000 in my storage in my bahari trips because of this)

So if you have room for plant fiber but not logs and chop a tree, the fiber goes with the rest of the fiber and the logs go in overflow. Or bugs with silk, stone with flint, etc.

but if you had, like, an inventory full of fish and chopped a tree, you'd be unable to loot the tree

Is there a way to fire a flare arrow straight up? I can't seem to aim anywhere near that high when I want to announce a flow tree. Should I just go away some distance and then fire in the direction of the tree?

the recipe priotizes star quailty but if u have something only with no star the recipe just uses non star ingredients

It's been a long standing debate on calling out FT but the gist of it is play how you want. Some of us, like me, don't have ages to spend standing around waiting for people to come to every ft they find. I only get like maybe an hour or 2 to play on average during the 3 days I have off and I don't want to spend 35% of that waiting at trees to chop them

You are under no obligation whatsoever to stop what you're doing and wait for people to gather.
Period.
However, there's a difference between running around solo, and taking a node that other players are obviously gathering around to share.
You can keep to yourself without ruining the experience for others who play differently than you do.
That's where I've always seen the line to be, no matter which side of the fence you are on.

depends what you want to fish. If for profit - bahari coast during day is the best spot. Might be better to just go fishing for fish that are a part of a bundle so you get something more then just gold (that includes one fish from bahari coast)

currently the day resets at <t:1699934400:t> (should show in your timezone). for some people, it might be an hour earlier than before because of daylight saving's time

i think it's midnight, but there is also some additional cooldown, so you can't just flirt at 11:50 and then again 30s later.
