Tau quest is broken for quite a few. Best guess is if you picked up the stones in the wrong order it borks it for you. Which, considering most people teleport to Central Stables and head into the mines, they'll encounter the ruins or water one first.

I've done some severe testing on this, and no place has proven better than other for me. The only thing my testing has revealed is that I get more chests from the lowest level fishing rod, but this can be a coincidence as well

When I gave him the box of chocolates yesterday I dont remember what he said specifically but it wasnt what the wiki said he should say ("Oh! This box is very red, and very strangely shaped."). When i tried to give him the lily tyoday when i noticed the romance phase didnt start, it basically said i coudlnt because i already gave him a gift of that type. i did for corn, it's now the new worst crop. Mostly because seed formula looks bugged (1 corn at 40g gives 2 seeds at 2*15g?). Did some guessing for peppers and they are probably mid tier, similar profits as apples (but it's heavy guessing of crop value from preserves value at 32g, total duration at 12 days and total harvest 24). Same issue with seeds.

Yeah, you can ignore that. I think the original intent was you had to interact with the candles before you could use the shrine. But it doesn't work that way.
