Map glitch.. Walked around and apparently stumbled upon the entrance of a locked area.

you can buy them from the farmer, but you need to do farming stuff to unlock them

If you placed your soil then they should be on your farm somewhere unless you were hit with yesterday's rollback bug. You can always buy more from Barduu, but they're a bit expensive the more you buy.

Ancient treasure chests are bugged and locked in place atm. All treasure chests are cosmetics for you farm. You can delete them with the trash can in the bottom right of your inventory if you wish. 🙂
