The snowy recipes come with snowballs. If you don't have room for snowballs it won't let you loot even if it's a recipe. (Witnessed this on a stream yesterday.) Since no overflow on ammo pouch you need a partial snowball stack and the rest of the slots full so that there's room. If it's not a snowy recipe it'll still block it because nowhere for the ammo or other things to go.

elderwoods was a bust on all accounts, only got a small handful of gems from it and all the palium and platinum nodes were small ones, but this is the total gem haul for three and a halfish hours of mining

EW I find hardest to mine in period. A) It's hard to get around and B) I've yet to find a logical loop that maximizes the number of nodes I can find on a run. Kilima, I have a pattern and loop that makes total sense. BB is easier to navigate but I don't have a solid route to maximize returns.

Elderwood is retty easy to navigate, lots of cave/shortcuts but yes mining nodes do seem to spawn very randomly. I often hunt Ogopuus while mining so some paths between nodes seem less "boring"

I start inside the flooded fortress because the far left clif usually has quite a bit of nodes on it, then I head up to tamales house, come round to the central stables and go all the way down to hideaway bluffs then work my way back up towards the mine, going through it back into the flooded fortress, rinse repeat

If you're looking for snowy recipes, you need a partial stack of snowballs in the ammo pouch and all the rest of the ammo slots full (in addition to the regular inventory being full of furniture). The snowy recipes come with snowballs so your ammo pouch is preventing you looting the snowy recipes.

I am an achievement hunter by blood, but Palia breaks me, I am at 200 hours, doing achievements since 100 hours. I havent even started on the chests, because I still struggle with smooth pebble and the insects. I have been searching for a quality duskwing using 20 lures, like this freaking bug is uncommen not even rare aaaah
I am really burned out because everyf achievement hunt feels so unrewarding at the moment haha

for Duskwings, go over to the shrine a little before 3am, then from 3am to 6pm chase off all the beetles and grasshoppers, catch all the butterflies, and that pesky mantis cause it's uncommon too.. you should end up with more duskwings that way
