Every time i feed them the marker moves so i have to go out from the animal care menu and then back just to give them one more of the same food. Yeah I honestly don't understand their reasoning in adding RNG locked recipes to a time limited bundle and on top of that, increasing the rate of snowballs from the piles instead of keeping the Winterlights store open.

Also while they likely knew most people were going to spend their snowballs crafting the snowmen for the event lol. Some heads up would've been nice.

Okay I have a question: is it rude to ask people to Jump Servers because you are hosting a Cooking Party? If the party is at your home, nearby chat exists. A user has posted twice now that they are hosting a party and if you are not attending she would appreciate you to jump servers. I even posted a reminder that Nearby chat is a thing

Firstly I am offering no opinion either positive or negative with complying with their request. However I can maybe clarify the reasons. Some cooking parties have 25 to 30 sign-ups and the servers only take so many. If you are doing a high profit food party using starred maws for instance you need to get as many people on the same server. My community in this event often asks people very politely and nicely if they mind switching, so all the sign-ups can actually get on the server and attend 🙂

Perfectly fair, this game I find doesn't demmand a time frame, and I actually when treated civilly will go out of my way to help others, however if you are not a nice person in the game and you act "badly" in my earshot. I add your character name to my book and I am less likely to assist or support you in the future. Purely from an accademic standpoint I have wandered how this game would fair if a reputation system was implimented. However I feel that it would potentially be misued.

I would enjoy private servers I feel, however I have met and interacted with some lovely people here too, met completely accidentally while running around. So I am divided on this, this game also teaches me patience and understanding sometimes, which I LOVE. Not everyone who acts in a negative way means it, and so many new players now. It teaches me to stop, evaluate and not be so sensitive in some ways. Ahhh the brownian motion of society we all mix together to our benefit!! 🙂

I am aware there are patch notes for this, but this is such a tiny detail that I completely missed, and missing it doesn’t mean my work and time spent grinding in the game should count for nothing. I’ve already completed the previous pathway, so it’s not clear where the XP from the bundles I’ve done would even go if it’s being applied to a path that’s already complete. Is it just gone? Sounds like it. It really feels like earned XP shouldn’t be able to disappear just because a small toggle wasn’t clicked.

I'm going to say this genuinely, because I've seen you make this comment multiple times and just to offer some explanation.

Not everyone is aware of patch notes or is able to read them, be it because of accessibility reasons or simply not knowing or being aware of them. From what I recall, they showed it in a GIF, and sometimes those don't load properly or it can still be too fast for some.

Not everyone is on this server either, or is constantly active on it. Same for chat, not everyone reads game chat or has it on, be it for accessibility reasons or because in game chat can go fast/people not answering/etc.

I just mention this because it's understandable people are upset, and saying "but it was stated here/i understood it" can come across as dismissive, which can cause defensiveness. Obviously attacks shouldn't be used, but it's just a matter of not everyone understanding things the same, or not having the same access to information.

Try filling your inventory (both main bag and your ammo pouch) and then going to the rummage pile and it'll allegedly consistently prioritise recipes. I did that the other day and got the snowy umbrella. Apparently if it says "inventory full" just swap servers until you can loot it. Currently trying the server switch now so can't guarantee it's 100% but might be worth a try!

I hear ya about rule enforcement! Above all it really is just a game, but a game with a special vibe, and sometimes I just miss all the sharing and caring, and kindness I myself experienced while being a newbie.
And so sometimes it can be frustrating seeing in-chat request for a flowtato or what-have-you other rare resourses, because some people just don't have enough time to find it, while others pick those resources without even flaring it

Think it's because of the wording like someone else explained. It was pointed out to Lacie in the patch notes too cause that's a piece you purchase from a store and can't craft iirc. So for newer players or those who aren't familiar with it, might be confusing.
