80C is fine for a laptop honestly. Things start going south when it gets to the throttling threshold (90-95C) and starts lagging like crazy

Supposedly mine can handle hitting 100c just fine before it'll shut itself off, but just because it can doesn't mean I necessarily want to run things so hot. I want this thing to last lol.

Don't worry, modern laptops are smart enough to not cook themselves, when it gets to 90-95C it will automatically drop the clock speeds to prevent excessive heat
