I really do believe, just go out there, don't set your expectations high, lure for bugs , right spawn times, start early , join friends for lures, use buzzy jars, do it to level up, for the enjoyment of the skill and game and just let whatever luck come your way. It will happen, always does when you least expect it and with time and patience. This I personally apply to all skills.

1/25 just is fancy for 1 in 25 chance, converted to a percent is 4% chance of dropping a

RGN is a fickle thing in general. Whether your odds are 1 in 25, 1 in 250 or 1 in 500. You could get 9 plushies in a day or you could get 1 over the course of 9 days. I never truly go out and just set myself up to focus on one thing, I create a target of what I would like to accomplish and just enjoy the grind on my way there 🙂 I got my starred ruby without even realizing, my shiny pebble while looking for snails. Maji will give you when you least expect it 🐉

I don't say this for any reason other than stating facts, what it says about the RNG for RTB I cannot say, but 2nd plush dropped after only catching 3 rtb. Which again, I was just out there having fun helping others, and 2 party groups gained the plush from this along with me.. I did set 6 lures down that day. Then theres a 3rd , after 20 plus lures, we got 3 star rtb, 2 regs and dropped a plush at some point I dont recall..

So someone do the math.. it isn't adding up to me.. its RNG luck

Yeah, it can take a lot of time. It isn't something that is guaranteed, and just... takes time. It's very RNG and random. As long as you're fishing in a pond, with glow worms, you at least have a chance to get one.

You don’t need to reel in the fish you hooked, to save bait. If its not the fish you want, let the fish off the hook, and pull your rod back. You’ll save glow worms that way

It's just something you have to keep trying. There's no way to guarantee you'll get it next catch or anything. There's no real 'tips' either. It's just.. glow worms, fish in pond, and hope for the best.

It's an epic fish-- meaning it is a low chance to fish up. It has taken some people days, weeks, or even months to get it. It happens.

It's just, again, not guaranteed, unfortunately.

Fishing with friends can help, but only because you can start having fish bite faster. There's nothing to increase luck chance or anything.

u need 2 mixing stations for the recipe, the crafter icon should also be red in the recipe, those icons are "additional stations" u need, if one or more is red u need another one
for future reference: u will eventually need 2 of every station to cook every recipe in the game

I agree. If they at least worked in some sort of pity system it would feel a little better. It's hard for me to say that we're truly earning something when one player could get it on their 5th try, while others may still be looking for it 2,000 tries later.

I think it could of also been a neat system, with some stuff, that you could trade in a specific amount of something, to get something else.

Like... Grinding & getting x amount of fish to be able to actually trade/get the epic fish that you might be looking for. That way it at least feels earnable for me and can still take time

(I will say, when I think about that kind of system, I usually think of it when it comes to makeshift furniture, Zeki Ball rewards, etc. Those are the ones in specific that really doesn't feel rewarding to me!)

Idk, as someone who has played WoW-- and still do on occassion, got into MonHunWilds recently, plays Star Rail (which is a gacha) ... I personally feel like Palia is worse. Specifically because I feel like I can't earn anything & there feels little to no other ways to get said things you might be grinding for.

On WoW, it definitely has some stuff with that RNG grind. Getting mounts can def fall under that-- however, there are other mounts you can get, and other content that doesn't feel as RNG dependant which helps me. I feel like I get a 'break' in-between, and I (again, personally) don't feel that with Palia.

I've never played this game nor do I know anything about it, but after a brief google search it seems like most of the grinding is to advance in skill/tech trees in order to earn in-game items. While it seems like the grind is excessive as you implied, I just don't think Palia's RNG grind can be considered "better" because it's an entirely different system. Perhaps it may not take as many hours for us to finally stumble upon the plush or the star quality ruby we're looking for vs. how long it takes you to advance and reach a particular goal in that game, I genuinely have no idea, but there is no defined path to get the Palia items. For me, that doesn't feel rewarding because I'm not actually earning anything. I'm just praying to the RNG gods that today is my lucky day lol. I could be grinding for a week straight to find a sq ruby and come up with nothing, while another player could look for it for an hour and find it immediately. So...that player earned it, but I didn't? Not my jam lol

I'm not sure why you're so intent on being so negative all the time but npc frienships don't go down if you aren't actively increasing your level with them. The levels get built up gradually over time.
