You might get a more comprehensive answer in #🌱│gardening but the basics is once per growth cycle, unless you have a companion plant providing the boost you're after, the plant consumes one fert. You can stack them so they auto consume, up to 99 per tile. And for harvest boost specifically, the odds of getting the fully boosted crop gets higher the more consistently you're fertilizing your crop- so if it takes 3 growth cycles, if you fertilize for all three, your chances of a full harvest boost is the best.

once i get things running ill do cake parties for newbs, but basically google palia party app, and look for any beginner friendly celebration cake party, like 50x or 100x(if u have time), and see if there are any spots fo oven, or frosting spreading, add the owner/host, and they will frend u, and u can ask them questions/let them know its ur first, and they will help u from there, if u get those 2 spots, u expend 0 mony/resources, and get like 40k to 80k profit

u have to get to level 4 friendship with a villager, but by then u would be a palia pro. there is some kinda wedding esque ceremony... not really sure whats the equivalent

Any adult npc to level 4 and then you can ask them to be your shepp! Make sure you’re yapping at them every in game day and gifting loved (then liked, then neutral if you’re able to do the loved items) every real life day to speed things up! You’ll get a little boost from their level quests as well!

Make sure you’re good with who you pick to be your shepp though because you can’t change them/have multiples like you can with romancing
