You can buy nameplates with tickets you earn via the weekly home tours achievments. One is giving 5 reacts while visiting houses, the other is visiting 15 houses. They net you25 tickets each, so 50 each week.

Then there is the achievement house warming party where you have to visit quite a lot of houses. They unlock the coffee cup nameplate.

And then you can unlock nameplates by getting a specific number of a react on your house, if you put it on tour. They are teired, so with every threshold, you get another version of that weeks plate

If you're on Switch, that's a common post-update issue. You have to remove your current internet connection from your switch, restart it, then add the network again.

I don't think that's what's going on. My thinking here is a quest variable check wasn't properly sanitized which is why some people can do it, and others can't. Turning it off and on again isn't the solution.

Well, "flag" in the traditional sense, yes. Certain quest flags (or checks/variables) can break with the tiniest things.. such as having another quest open while doing it, or not doing a quest line in a specific order. There's many reasons it could break like this and there's not enough sample data on those that do work for me to properly guess what it is without taking a peek under the hood, and I don't think I'm allowed to do that. :^)

I'm not one to point fingers at a community, but community pressure can definitely be one of the reasons development teams rush an update.

It doesn't help that there was downsizing so I'd assume proper QA wasn't in place at the time.

I think a bit of an official statement from a CM or something would definitely help the S6 team though.
