I personally have no idea how I got addicted to this type of game. I always didn't like games like Stardew, Animal Crossing, Sims, etc. lol. And suddenly this game makes me wanna play for hours straight.

And as you mentioned, the community is (surprisingly) very helpful, even the randoms online. The game's trying it's best to push the "keep calm and enjoy the game" rule which I have never seen in any game before.

I wonder how they managed to do that. I know the community plays a role in it too, but it still amazes me to see this happening.

You're probably experiencing the crappy starter rod. The low tier rods have intentional input lag added to them. You just need to power through it, level up your fishing and craft a better one

You need to make the basic sawmill first. The basic and heavy sawmills are functionally identical, except one is faster
