Yeah some of the channels hide from you unless you specifically select them in the channel list lol. If you press "Channels & Roles" at the top of your channel list, you should be able to see all of the channels available to you and check the ones you want to see

Them putting a scoreboard there is kind of a confusing thing. It isn't really meant to be a permanent scoreboard/leaderboard... it just exists as a way to tell the player to beat a score of 100 (the "top score") in a "natural in-universe" way.

But when I first read about this trophy it was all the people in the server and whoever held the trophy could display it in their lot but if someone beat their score the trophy would disappear over night. And I read all that straight off the wiki so now I’m so so so confused 😅

Yeah I think the way I originally did it was clicking on each furniture collection on the wiki (i.e. bellflower, log cabin, etc.) and then it listed which ones could only be obtained at the black market. Still a lot of clicking, but better than looking for each individual item haha

Considering how many run around with what is clearly shop clothes they do seem to get a good amount in (whether that is enough to offset costs is an entirely different thing). It is just cosmetics, but I also see it as a way to say "I've enjoyed what you've made, you've earned this, I want to support what you are doing".

Just look at streamer. The way people donate to streamers... other than maybe a little bit of recognition, in most cases they don't get anything out of it other than primarily supporting the streamer. And in many ways, buying from the store regardless of interest in cosmetics achieves something similar for the game.

For the record, I totally get that some people don't have the money or simply don't want to "donate", and there is nothing wrong in that.

But there are certainly counter-arguments to be made too.

Well I meant specifically namplate/icon cosmetics. Clothing and pet cosmetics I do enjoy and have certainly paid for. I just don't feel the same about the font, color, frame, etc. that's around my IGN or icon.

I could maybe see them charging for nameplates and actually gaining a decent amount of money from it if there were more interactions where we actually see the nameplates. As of now, I just run around the game and do my thing, and I rarely notice what someone's name looks like. But I acknowledge that could just be me and my own focus issues 😂

Because at least there are some nameplates we can get in-game (however broken that system may currently be). Oh yeah, that's fair. The nameplate I'm running around with was from house tour tickets, but if it was for money I would have considered buying it. I honestly got it for accessibility reasons (would be easier for Mom to pick me out of the crowd and it makes my name clearer against the backdrop), although while I was getting one anyway I did try to find one that matched me. 😄

I do see what you mean though. Honestly, that's the beauty of games and art. Different people derive enjoyment from different things. Considering how quickly people have jumped on nameplates, not to see how quickly people went into the "please vote #4 for my house so I can unlock the nameplate" does show that there is a potentially untapped market here.

In general I do think the biggest problem this and many other games have is finding a balance between reasonable pricing, what to lock down, but also avoiding becoming financially predatory.

Gold income depends on your playstyle. They did try to replace it out. Jams are still good if you avoid cake parties due to cakes no longer needed jams it just comes down to what suits you better due to wait times imo. Like you could math it all out and worry or just free up some storage space. Maybe you really liked bug catching or mining even fishing they still make nice active moneys

I said there are things you can spend gold on if you want, like zeki coins. How would adding the ability to buy chunks off of a 1 1/2 year timer make a difference there other than lock out players who have limited game time from having any sense of progress?

Or another way to put it. I want to game when I game and work when I work, not for the game to end up being more work than work.

Yes, this is an mmo of sorts, but not all mmos have to follow the same formula. There are multiple ways to deal with a problem, and I doubt an artificial excessive timer would be popular among the kinds of players Palia has. And many of us still have plenty of things to spend gold on even at the 2m+ threshold.

You say you only log in for those things, and it is sad that the current state of the gameplay loops isn't that fun for you and I hope something comes around soon that will bring you joy from the game again. But if the game changed to have gold sinks in the way you suggested, then I would end up playing this game less and less.

I obviously don't speak for everyone playing the game, but my read of the general community and how their reaction has been to other things in patches I get the feeling it overall wouldn't be a popular thing.

Hi ^^ PNJs gave me lots of objects i can't sell like walls, or flooring. I thought using them in my house would let me get the space back in my bag, but it seems i just keep them. What can i do ? :/
