I don’t hunt unless im with a party that wants to, I literally just occasionally take out my frustration on the local fauna while doing the Bahari river fish marathon, and I get them from the first random thing I murdle.

Guess the game really is just “I’ll only give you the thing you want if you’re not desperately searching for it”

Hunt with my group! I totally get your frustration tho. We try to be respectful of lone hunters (invite them to group, find other chaapa when they’re taking some out, switch servers, stun azure so more people can get shots in if nearby) but we also have some pretty good RNG some days (think I’ve had three or four azure double plush drops and one for the mid tier chaapa.) Plus we’re hilarious

I am a huge fan of the Pivot. If I notice the table is grabbing up a certain color that I have 2 tiles of, I bail. I also keep an eye on the discards since there's only 5 of each tile. Then I always make sure to pivot to either same set or different tiles within the set as I see the discards.
