There's plenty of quests where the description is 'wait for the story to be continued', Palia is very much in beta and it seems like they want to have, what we see now, a bit more polished and bug free before moving onto the other maps and content, no doubt there will be shepp stuff in the future
Layoffs in game development is actually a normal way to do business & you'd find it's mainly artist, audio designers, side-plot writers, etc, basically anyone hired to do a specific thing of a section, then when they complete that they get laid off, I think it's a weird way the games industry hires people since it's better for the employee than being contracted out, iirc, correct me if I'm wrong

Always keep in mind, when you get mad at quests being 'to be continued', not completing, or falling and getting stuck just about anywhere, this is version 0.181 of the game, I know you love and want 3d stardew valley already, but games take time. If you wanna wait for version 1.0 to come out there's a stardew-like game that released recently called Coral Island

That actually made me feel a lot better to be honest. I’m not much of a gamer and this is the first game I’ve played that’s in beta. And telling people about the game and letting them know it’s in beta, they immediately get put off by it and say things like the game isn’t going to be completed or such things like that. So my worry is that I’ve gotten so invested in its game and so excited for its potential only for it to never be accomplished. But then again even the smallest updates they do for the game even if it’s a hotfix is good enough for me, let’s me know that they haven’t given up on the game. I don’t think I’ll stray from palia to any other game at all as I’m fixated on this one. I never thought of what you suggested honestly, polishing up what they already made before releasing something entirely new. It’s a really good point.

No Man's Sky was a game touted as abosolutely revolutionary, hyped to the end of time and back. When it released it was a total lie and everyone got understandably very mad.... but, they didn't give up even through literally all the refunds & continued to work on the game, never providing any updates as DLC, to where it's now actually a really decent game

I feel this, but hoesntly the way I see it, it's your plot. Who cares what others think. You can work or not work on it and it shouldn't matter as a whole as long as you like your plot either cluttered or decorated. It's a shame to see so many users coming out and feeling such a negative backlash over the tour system and it unfortunately being how it is (hey hey s6 take notes!) and think of it this way, just because current stuff isn't your style maybe it's just because it isn't released yet! Everyone's plots have their own merits even if you can't see your own yet and as long as your plot and whatever is placed in it makes you happy why should anything else matter

1: A clear roadmap for the development of the game, we have no clue now what the future holds or any possible time tables. Estimated months for more story, new maps, events, ect.
2: A hunting zone but instead of gaining loot you gain points. Gotta be in a party. Most points in the party wins. If the parties combined score is high enough, everybody gets bonus.
3: Bigger furniture sets. It's great they add new sets, but if they have like 5 (growable furniture) to around 15 (most other new sets) it feels a bit small. Compare them to sets like Kilima/Kilima Inn or Log Cabin sets, those are massive!
4: Everything the other people suggest, no need to double up
5: Last but not least, more cool clothing options for MALE body types. If they want me to spend money, give me cool clothes too.
