Hunting in a party nets you quite a lot. Especially after turning hide to leather. I hang onto about 50 fur. Sell the rest. Either cook the meat or use in worm bins. I keep 2 of each type of horn/tail (I already did most things that call for them, you might want to save more) You don't have to be any specific level in a group either. You all get the same loot

If you chop the tree you automatically get the loot but yes, usually there's a method! You'd have to ask someone more invested in that though, I just hunt solo mostly and never for plushies

When I randomly hunt with others though I usually use slowdown arrows so everyone can get a hit in

hmm, for switch the only common error i know about is the one where you have adjusted the clock on your switch for other games. palia requires your clock to be unaltered
