Its not that im letting the fact of friends leaving deter me from enjoying it. Its that i can 100% understand why they leave and i see this as a bad thing for the whole game.
The silent majority just leaves and their is nothing we as players can do about it.
Its something S6 can do something about, but that all depends on what their goal is.
I would say a healthy goal is to keep your loyal playerbase happy, use them to ģet more players, get feedback etc.
But if your goal is to get a perfect game with a new playerbase every few months well i dont know how that works.
I will stop here before i get the angry mob on me for posting in the wrong channel.

Even though I see your points, keep in mind that Palia actually has a rather large player base, especially taking into consideration that it's still in beta. And word is still getting out there as they add new ways to get the game. I'd encourage you to not worry about it and enjoy it while it's here. :) And don't forget to add your thoughts to !feedback <----. Again, the devs aren't here for discussions. Happy gaming!

Imagine you have a plot with 10000 items and a Switch player comes to visit you. They will either have the game run at like 5 FPS or worse it will crash entirely.
Even my laptop with an RTX 3050 and a 4 core 8 thread processor is struggling to keep up on heavily decorated plots.

I'd say there's probably more switch players than PC since it's been out on switch longer than it has been on steam, but eventually PC players will eclipse switch because it is a garbage gaming console (no offense to you i just hate the switch with a passion) and more people play games long-term on pc on average imo

the game is pretty big on switch, and a lot of ppl knew about the game for a while already. im not sure if they are in the minority. but i do agree the game will grow 10x faster on steam, launching on epic was a huge sellout mistake that cost the company a lot of time and employees and its chance at a hyped up launch

There is a box you tick on steam for early access. If you miss it, you label it on the page as so as I recall from the steam tos (don't quote me i have trashy memory but I know it's a thing in there somewhere)

Yep! when someone catches a fish near you, a lil icon appears under your focus bar. It can stack up to 5 and decreases the time it takes for fish to bite your hook! There are also a handful of foods that give different fishing buffs ✨

The level of the rod doesn't matter for like cast distance. In the last update they added a bug where some of the fishing nodes in the sea spawn too close to land to be fished from.
