I believe the reasoning is to stop trading. Requests are meant to be gifts, but once you have unlimited ones, you can use them to trade large quantities of items and, indirectly, gold. Which was meant to be avoided. 🙂

When I find I am a bit fed up with the daily run around and the regular grinding I tend to find really silly and simple things to do. Following a new player around and helping them out with hunting and bugs and stuff. Show the hidden areas and caves in Bahari. Or I go on a weird climb up the cliffs or buildings just to see where I can go without getting stuck. Put on a fireworks show in the village square. Pose in a funny spot. Things like that.

you should try and go to one of the indoor sky-diving centres completely safe you are only about 4-6 feet of the ground at most and it could be something that might help. like immersion therapy. its not for everyone but that weightlessness and "freedom" is quite refreshing and a good way to unwind

on the earlier topic, while I do get Sidian on wanting more info/actual time stamp on update, I also understand as a dev myself that the video games decide the date, not the devs
Game making is nearly on par with rocket science (well, not entirely, but it def is difficult) so in order to really deal with expectation dates and such, devs would rather make announcements on the changes, then give themselvres however much tyime they need to make sure the update will work properly, then take the time to QA on it before fully releasing it. And thats not including the bugs that can happen on live!

All in all, that reply to Sidian wasnt needed, but i felt the need to clear it up a bit here since well... building a game is no where near as easy as playing it

since people are still talking about it. firstly sidian never even asked a question it was a statement so no one really needed to respond at all. secondly i have spoken with Grumpy in the past. i dont think they were intending to be hurtful or malicious. they just said things bluntly and matter of factly. and that's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea. but that has all been and passed lets not keep dragging it up.

also it can get extremely frustraing having a whole chain of people coming in (having the same information that the rest of us do) and asking for release dates etc. the discord needs to force people to the news channel when they make announcments and you check a box to say you read it. that way alot of the when is X happening stops and alot of the "conflict" never happens.
