Run around the areas it spawns, and keep going (obviously pick up any you do find) I grab shell's and fishing nodes ... then swing back around. It's almost as if dragon's beard is triggered to spawn by player presence. On a full run I can get as many at 10 -12. Happy gaming!

here is the trick - get 5 acorns. plant them all at the same time. STAY IN YOUR HOUSE until the quest completes. Takes an hour

the acorns it just takes an hour, they dont need to be fully grown for the quest. plant 5 at the same time and just wait. craft some furniture

It doesn't matter what you do with trees for Eshe's quest to progress right now. You can try workarounds but you may end up just being frustrated. It's been this way since the last update.
