Starting to become convinced that my account is bugged and I just can't get flow tree seeds from the statue.

27 days of trying to loot the statue, no flow seeds.

Then I heard about the Full Inventory method, similar to the Rummage Piles.

30 relogs, still no flow tree seed.

Feels more like a bug than bad luck at this point. 🙃

Are they even requestable? If they are though it doesn't matter; can't request items you've never gotten.

So if you put all of the normal seed types in your inventory, then fill the rest of your inventory with items you can't get from the gardener statue (ie; furniture) the message prompt on the statue will only be 'Loot' if the statue is going to give you a normal tree seed, because then it can stack into one of the existing seeds in your inventory.

If the statue prompt says 'Inventory Full!' that means it's going to give you a flow tree seed, and it can't fit in your current inventory because there are no free spaces.

Same method works for the Rummage Piles, if you fill your inventory completely with items that you can't get from the piles.

And the current loot of the Pile/Statue resets based on your instance; so closing and logging back into the game or hopping servers will reroll the loot you're going to get.

But anyway it's refusing to give me flow seeds. The filled inventory method has worked already for friends...

And I'm currently at 27 legitimate loots + 30 relogs that I tried tonight, and still no luck getting a flow seed.

So I'm starting to get very suspicious.

If you have one of each tree seed type (acorn, pinecone, juniper, samara) and then fill the rest of your inventory with furniture (or anything else that the statue can't give you) then the statue can only provide regular seeds or flow seeds.

And if it's a flow seed, it won't let you loot the statue because your inventory is full. So if it says 'Inventory Full!' that means the current loot in the statue is a flow seed.

It has to be an account bug at this point. It's virtually statistically impossible for me to get zero flow seeds with that many attempts.

Anyway I submitted a big huge ticket about it just now, so time will tell.

I think "effort" is subjective here just like "the grind" for anything, really, not just this game specifically. If you have a love for the game and enjoy spending time playing it, I don't see the work towards an in game goal necessarily "a grind" because I'm choosing to spend time on and it I like doing it! I can obviously see how some people see red for certain things like plushies, just due to the collectively trinket adoring nature of humans, but at the end of the day we're all making the choice to play a game, that the base of is F2P, and is still in Beta. I personally love all those things! And I enjoy being here. If someone doesn't enjoy it anymore because it gets "too grindy" or "too much work" then I kindly suggest pivoting to another task or game.

There's lots of games that offer more direct competition between players. At the base of it, that's not what Palia is about in my opinion, and the devs have tried pretty hard to keep it so. I appreciate them for that!

they do have in-game events currently only 2 seasonal ones but im sure that number will increase, and they have stuff happening around halloween with items to earn and stuff as well. i agree with your premise i just dont think that the players should compete against each other but rather the community competes against the game and everyone who took part gets the same rewards based on the final result whether you contribute 1 sapwood plank or 100 rubies

Chapaa chase was still so glitchy for me even during the second market, I'd be running after a chapaa and it'd teleport, so I'd run to catch up, then an invisible person would suddenly glitch fast forward and it was either I felt like I was stealing their chapaa or vice versa and so I just started chasing them towards other players and not trying to grab them unless they ran right in front of me cu, I felt bad lol

But even chapaa Chase caused controversy in that some players got really greedy and made it difficult for the regular players trying to participate and groups would overtake the chases and it was awful.

the items dont need a value if there are 1000 different items needed, lets say its to repair the bridge in town, because everyone knows it needs it, it would ask for various items in various quantities and it could have a bronze silver and gold reward depending on what gets added - bronze could be if you fullfil the basic items like wood and stone, silver can be if you fullfil some more decorative items for the bridge and gold can be if you bejazzle the heck out of the bridge. regardless of what you contribute you get awarded the bronze/silver/gold just like everyone else that contributed something

simple you can still contribute above the limit so if it needs 1000 wood and someone goes and puts 1000 wood in straight away other people can still donate some wood to count as contributing plus the kind of player that does that is not really the kind of player Palia attracts so i think thats a much smaller problem than you might think it to be
