If you want to collect all the recipes what you could do is fill your inventory with items that the pile can't give you. Then when you go to the pile it'll only let you loot it if it's a recipe. And you can go back and forth between Bahari and Kilima and keep trying.

Sometimes it takes a while and sometimes I just give up and try again another day.

As far as raw ores you can't get from the npcs, but you can buy metal bars from Hodaris guild store for mining tokens that you earn through weekly achievements!

We are able to obtain ||flow tree seeds after completing the Roots Temple and getting the Gardener Statue (it gifts them)|| and we can buy copper, iron, and pal bars from Hodari after level 10 mining :)
Oh and copper, iron, bricks, and ceramic can be bought in the repair station register, where Sifuu stands by the anvil

Yep, that can happen. That players come onto your plot. However, if they cook on your equipment they don't use your ingredients. I just had an aggressive player I friended while out doing flow groves show up on my plot and spam party invites. The fastest way to get people out of your plot if they show up uninvited is to leave your plot. No need to talk to them, just exit. It forces them to leave too. The request menu is pretty buggy, for example for me on switch i have to select the drop downs twice or three times to get available requests to show up. Another option is to shout it out in the server chat while at home plot if you're comfy that you need a few simple requests to fulfill, people know the quest that requires that so someone will help you out probably pretty quickly!

Personally, I don't think they'll add a typical "villain" NPC, but NPCs with major negative character traits... Sure, 100% possible and if they add new NPCs I think they eventually will.

This setting a time thing seems to have gotten really popular and I was never a big fan. It doesn't make any sense to me because if you say 3 am and one person says omw, you will obviously wait for them. If they don't say it and get there at 3:20 because they misjudged that's just as bad (worse even) as them not saying omw because they don't pause for a few seconds to type. I don't think it solves any problem. It just gives the cover of making it sound like no one in particular is responsible, but it's just as arbitrary as anything else.

yep :/ and a lot of players (specifically closed beta players) have the renown cap with no way to spend it so they can't do quests. friendship lvl 5 is useless for them unless they want their renown to go into the void since there's nothing to spend it on if you're bought all the wallpapers they added recently

Or squirrels running around and into trees...
Would be nice to have bee hives, farm the honey for making recipes and the honeycomb for honeycomb styled furniture...

We do always hear about the larger cities in the Palia world but never get to travel to. Maybe a Merchant from those cities pays a visit with rare or epic items 😄 that'd be interesting

I think a mix of both is good. It would be a rotating shop every week with some zeki furniture, some new exclusive to the trader stuff, and rare fish/bugs to help with rng issues.

The team is pretty good at highlighting new progression related stuff in the teaser - so I’m assuming we will not be getting more of the main story quite yet.

I do wonder why all the secrecy about if long requested accessibility features like the brightness sliders will be in this patch, though. When a large amount of critic about the game stems from its lack of accessibility, surely it makes no sense to be secretive about adding features to improve it

this is a fix focused patch as the last was content focused, so not likely to have progression beyond the level 5 friendship quests

probably not a secret, just not confirmed yet - either they don't have a firm date at all or they want to wait to get through the last of the patch testing (which seems to finish the day before the patch) and don't want to promise something they can't deliver on especially if it's a last minute pull
