I had a slightly glitch moment. I was logging in to do the zeki mission to steal the battery from Eshe. Once the screen finished loading, I was suddenly in a mountain area (when I played previously, I saved in front of the general store, so I don't know how I ended up in the mountains 🤨) Jina and Hekla were there, but I couldn't move at all. Luckily, the glitch was temporary, because I was able to go back to the house

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't usually notice when someone is hunting unless they are directly in front of me and I run through herds all the time. It is probably an accident. I do try to avoid the magic creatures, but it's not always possible if I notice them too late.

They might not even realize you're hunting, I get the feeling most people don't even pay attention to their surroundings. For me if I notice someone is hunting something I try to steer around them or wait until they shoot so I don't interfere and scare it away.

There's been a lot more Switch players too and there's a really bad connection between the server and actual placement from mobs and players. I've seen deer just pop into existence just as quickly as they vanish. So that too could be a cause.

I play both PC and Switch and it seems like on Switch if there is a cliff or wall close by anything that doesn't die in the first shot just teleports to another spot on the map nearby. Isn't a magical creature either, just any animal will do it. PC has the same issue but it's pretty rare from my experience.

There is no way to report on the fact that climbing is incredibly sloppily optimized. Also we’re all aware it’s a beta version. Personally I’m not accepting of the trend to release games that are still in beta under the guise of being a functional completed game, and charging players for cosmetics without updating the game or fixing the bugs… which it has been for Switch users.

Why don't we sum it up like this:

The game indeed has problems, some that should have already been fixed. Heck, the cash shop on PC still has issues allowing people to even buy the cosmetics. But that's just how things are right now. You're free to vent but if the game causes you that much disatisfaction then it might be wise to just step away and find something else. There's plenty of cozy games out there that do what Palia does, maybe better. But if you genuinely do love the game still just put it down and come back in a few months once they've done more significant updates.

Quick tip, scare the chapaa and then shoot a clone with a dispel and it will stun the real one for about 5 seconds...do not shoot before scaring or it won't stun

There was a problem with that quest that was hotfixed in November. If you don't have the glider anywhere in inventory you could message support to ask them to sort it out.

This does not fill me with hope. The Fire Temple was so agonizing, both physically and mentally, to get through, I'm putting off attempting Gales until I've finished both first Bundles
And I will never lay eyes on the Obstacle Course

This is why I hope the devs will be more clear about expectations. For me, barring the gamebreaking bugs of course, the wind temple was just the right difficulty with water being exceptionally disappointing and fire being too linear.

I don’t lag very much tbh, but it is super nice to play on the switch. I definitely prefer being able to take Palia wherever I want and relax opposed to sitting in that uncomfortable chair at my desk
