FFXIV has a system where you can select from a big list of common/common to the game phrases, terminology, etc and it autotranslates said phase/word/etc to the client language of whoever's reading it

You have to put it into your storage in order to put it back into the seed maker but you can put it back It's that way with anything that you accidentally pull a whole stack out of if you want to keep it in those machines you have to put it into storage in order to put it back in the machine

Oh I can't even finish the second bundle because I have a glitch where I can't get one of the medallions I don't know if it was in the treasure chest under the boat and I just opened that treasure chest before I got the temple open or if I just didn't get the one from completing the temple in the first place

All I know is that treasure chest wasn't there when I went looking for the missing medallions and I am short only one medallion there are some people who didn't receive the medallion for finishing the temple so I don't know if that's what happened or if I just grabbed the treasure chest before the bundle was unlocked and didn't get one because of that

Honestly, if the Management fully understood Microtransactions, they'd have put 90% of all those clothing we have immediate access to behind a pay wall, in micro sections, and say... every full set of clothing would be around US$1? The more expressive cosmetics shouldn't be so expensive, but rather at most US$10. Look at how popular the cosmetics bundles for BORDERLANDS was, and how much nicer they look compared to Palia's current stuff... AND all of that stuff was modifiable, not just 3 simple variations of looks, but full wraps. I think I paid $70 for the full games and their cosmetics and DLCs each, respectively, since Borderlands 2.

It automatically syncs you to the server closest to your physical location -- so if you're in NA you'll be on a NA server, if you're in the EU you'll be on an EU server, if you're AP you'll be AP. If you use a VPN and set your location to a different one, you can sync to a different server.

Personally I started playing with the sole purpose of playing solo - I didn't realise it was MMO until my first trip to Kilima.
I like the solo aspect, and I also like how there are zero punishments for playing solo in this MMO. Playing with friends is extremely optional and it's shown in how the loot is distributed, it's the same all round. The only reason you need to interact with other players are for flow trees, and they're an easy 30 second interaction

One of the best things about Palia is that it can be played in so many different ways. This evening, I just wanted to unwind and go smack rocks, so I went out and mined rocks. Did one flow tree grove since it popped up near me, but other than that I didn't interact with anyone else to speak of -- and that's okay and as welcomed as people who want to play with others! Both are good 🙂

If you're still using the starter axes, it does no damage to flow trees, so you're not actually helping them to chop - you'll need iron or better to get the loot, although I think a copper axe will do the smallest flow trees.

All tools lose durability while you use them. You can repair them by either visiting Sifuu's forge in Kilima Valley, by making repair kits and using the forge in Bahari Bay, or by building a forge and using repair kits at home.

yea but when i swing my axe or pick. go fishing. i dont lose durability by not hitting a rock. or landing on ground.. when you shoot your bow it loses durability no matter what.. even if u miss

No, the bug belt takes durability when you miss because it has ammo. The fishing rod loses durability when you cast as well

Spice sprouts are not seedling plants, they are considered forageable - you have to get those in the wild.

Spice sprouts are not seedlings, again - you cannot plant them at all. Once you pick it, it's meant to be used either as part of cooking, to sell for money, or to give to NPCs. I save mine and use them for cooking personally.

You can toggle Quests you want to do, or what I like to do is just have one toggled so I don't get ADHD confused

If you go and look at your quests in your quest log, one of them corresponds to the yellow circle on the map -- unfortunately there's a few different quests that give you a region to search, but it's likely you're supposed to be looking for something in the yellow circle.

It's linked to one of your quests for sure or you wouldn't have the circle showing up on the map -- have you tried climbing up on top of things, looking around everything in that area, etc? Sometimes it's as simple as finding a dirt pile 😄

There aren't tons of quests that make you search a circle like that -- but there -are- other quests that have you searching with no guidance whatsoever, so the more you observe your environment for anything out of the ordinary, the better.

Don't worry about it for now! There will always be flow trees, and you can chop many of the smaller ones yourself later (especially once you get up to the palium axe).

With the palium axe you should be able to chop tiny & small alone, but medium/large still take other people (although I still keep trying every so often to see if I've miraculously found a way to chop big 'uns myself).

Yes, absolutely!! You'll have to describe how to find where you're at on the map, though. You can make flare arrows when you've gotten up a little bit in hunting skill, too, and those can be used to indicate where you are.

Flares will mark a location and people will be able to pinpoint better your location.

Another Asia-Pacific player, same issue. There's a lot to factor in:

1. not a lot of players speak English

2. Lots of new players who either can't chop flow trees yet or don't understand about them

3. Lots of switch players (who are also #1 and #2) that don't know how to (or can't) interact with the chat

4. Lots of players in the wind temple but it still counts as being on the Bahari list

is it super frustrating? yes. But I was happy to chop a pair of trees this morning with a Korean and a Japanese player. Part of it is they have to learn the english "game terms" if you will (Flow tree / ft etc), and I have to learn the equivalent in their languages to try and communicate.

I can actually read/write a decent bit of Japanese (speaking is better), but for some reason I can't type into teh chat with my Japanese keyboard, so that does make communicating... harder.

It's getting repetitive for me too - but the game is still in beta. There will probably be many more regions, quests, items to purchase/build and skill rewards over the next few years.

One solution would be to loop some of the quests. Make them repeatable with varying rewards, and also implement repeatable group quests.
