The very first time you OPEN the game -- you can do that on the 14th or afterward, but the very first time you open it, link then. You can't do it retroactively, it must be the very first time before you start playing on that Switch account.

It can take a while, it's completely luck. However, they -did- fix the bug a while back that had stopped sushi recipes from getting fished. If you've blown through hundreds of worms, make a bug report - there is always the chance that the bug returned for some reason (although oh, do I hope it didn't come back).

the problem with sushi is that it has a 2% dropchance, its the same as getting an epic fish which can sometimes take up to 300 or even more worms

There used to be a glitch. Not including the 500+ times I tried, then...
Once the glitch was gone, it only took about 20 casts, to see it. I failed to "hook" it, 3 times. It took me 38 total casts, to hook it. Once hooked, it reeled in super easy
Caught on my home plot, using glowies. I was also using rod size boost, and Fisherman's Brew, but I think I would have caught it, anyway, if I had hooked it faster

Gales is likely to be very rough for you. The best thing I can advise in your situation is to prep in advance, make a plan, and take it step by step per the guides just to get it over and done with - get all the rewards and get out. It's going to be hard enough with twitchy hands, you don't need to stress over the puzzles too.

The best thing I can recommend is to file a bug report at https://support.palia.com/ and let them know you didn't get it on bundle completion, so they can add you to the list.

I wish I could say yes, but other people have tried to play the game in an animal-friendly manner and have been unable to do so. You will need leather & furs for some crafting. Now, you -can- partner with someone else, go with them when they hunt, and deliberately fire past the animal without hitting it - as long as you're shooting "nearby" it counts, and when they take down the animal you can get the rewards. But unfortunately, that's still "participating" in a hunt, and many people have found that as something they don't want to do. 😦

I don't know how hard it would be to implement a pacifist route but it shouldn't be impossible to do. It would definitely be a challenge to play through as it currently exists, however - they'd need to make a few new items to replace leather/fur, and they might have to modify at least one friendship quest I can think of.

Just because I don't think you will want to go in there ever again after tonight: ||Did you do the add-on room AFTER finishing the main questline that had the fire on the door? It is one single room in the Gales temple (on Caleri's side, I believe) that is a call-back to the fire temple, and it unlocks with the main temple completion.|| If you didn't, don't stress out - it's not imperative to do. It's just nice to remember the FUN temple. 😄

I wish that were true. However, they changed it so that rock, iron, and palium all spawn throughout Bahari. What this unfortunately means is that if someone goes and mines all the palium but doesn't break all the rocks/iron, there's virtually no palium to be found... you have to mine all of it to get the palium to spawn.

Flint sells for 300 gold for a full stack, which i get a few extra stacks while grinding out nodes for gemstones. i just sell whatever I don't want/need, or try to fulfill requests 🙂

I haven't seen reduced drops since the patch personally -- I did two mining runs the other night. My mining runs are usually until my inv is full. The first time I came back with about 150 iron and 32 palium, plus a bunch of sapphires and garnets (I believe it was like 3 sapphires and 5 garnets that trip). The second time I came back with 250+ iron, 17 palium, some gold, and at least another 2 sapphires and 3 garnets. I will say I haven't tried mining Kilima since the patch tho.

This isn't unique to Palia patch notes, though; a lot of patch notes for games don't tell you specific numbers. I cherish the games that do, though

Using a fast travel to kilima central stables puts you pretty close to sifuu and then you can teleport back to bahari right away. Your farming trips would be just interrupted by a minute

Let me see if I can help you with at least that part about the gusts: ||are you talking about the oddly-sideways gales? If so, jump and engage your glider, get into the gust, and then let go of W and let the wind carry you. It's a trick of timing it right, but it works surprisingly well. It can help to aim your camera in the direction you're going, too.||

It's a really difficult temple, but lag would 10000% make it worse. 😦 I'm not sure of any good recommendations to improve the lag, but you could always reach out to the devs and provide logs and a DXDIAG report (which they'll tell you how to do in their autoresponder for the bug report) -- they may be able to tell you if it's something with your computer that's to blame, or if it's something with the game they may be able to pinpoint & fix it.

Fishing in general is glitched. One way some people have managed to get that to work again is by exiting the game entirely and reloading/relogging in. However, if you do that while in the temple, it will dump you back out by the gate in Bahari, so you'll have to run back and reenter.

That's actually why I have so many of them -- I made them before flares existed (and sent in a request for flares). They made flares much more rapidly than I expected them to, and now I have this mountain of homemade explosives.

Linking only works the very first time on any Switch profile because otherwise, a new game's created on that profile. Now, you could theoretically make a new Switch profile (you can have multiple profiles) and in theory could link there, but that's annoying as all heck, so I really recommend linking the very first time you open the game.

As for the rewards: if you don't link an existing Palia account to a Switch profile, you don't get the rewards. It should still get you the rewards if you accidentally oopsed on initial game open and had to switch profiles to link to a different one, so long as you linked then.

On how to get better fences, there's different fences available in some of the furniture sets -- make more pieces of furniture and you'll get more fence options. But the really expensive flow wood one is from the newest set that comes from completing the bundle for the new temple.

Just skimmed through (because I usually turn off the sound too) -- and no, you watch for the required time period and then will get a popup in the Twitch notifications; once you claim that reward it'll start the timer for the next, and so on. There might be a little sound too but I don't remember there being one for prior Twitch drops I've gotten.

You can only put one type of fertilizer at a time, but each fertilizer has a replacement companion plant.. e.g. if you want weed prevention, you can either use fertilizer, or make sure one of the adjacent tiles is a carrot or onion. Just lost three fish and I'm hoping a restart of the game will resolve the issue.

I mean, Code Repo's live in something like GitHub. You do code validation upon each successful update/change. You deploy that code to Dev. You test it and find any abnormalities that surface. You then deploy to QA for two weeks or so and let your testers go crazy. Then you pull bug fixes out of QA and deploy them once more for another two weeks. THEN and only then, when you end up with no observeable issues do you deploy to production.

That's the most important thing... BETA implies it's undergone ALPHA testing which is what this game feels like. It also implies that the game is going to hit a production release relatively soon. A game that releases in Beta and stays in Beta for years? That's just the business running out of funding or not doing a good enough job of managing resources to prioritize the UI/UX but hey guess what? It's about to come out on Nintendo.... I see what the game does to my PC and stream, can't wait to see what it does to my Switch Battery.

No. You will have to wait for the devs to fix the bug. Sadly, it's been like this for months. I've had the bug since September. You can temporarily fix it by adding your saved bugs/fish into your inventory, but it'll disappear again when you relog.

Code validation, deploy to dev, test two weeks, fix any bugs, deploy to QA, test two more weeks, final round of bug fixes, deploy once more to QA, test two more weeks, note any residual bugs for next release, schedule prod release. Meanwhile, the next update by the time the one to Prod is being released, should already be getting code validation before going to Dev.

Ngl, first couple hours of the game felt pretty boring and generic to me. Traversal improves quite a bit once the glider is crafted and the game opens up a little more to exploration. I hope one day they implement mounts. Other than the initial first couple hours it's been enjoyable for what it is. But like most people are saying, it's the potential that they haven't yet tapped into but I hope over time we see more positive steps forward. The "MMO" element definitely has a lot of untapped potential l.

I already completed the temple, even the bundles - rest assured that it's not bugged. climbing is also honestly better than most parts in Bahari.

I'm by no means saying that they should expand on the MMO portion of gameplay in any "competitive" way. I would just like more ways and reasons to interact with other players. I'm usually a solo in most games myself and only team up if required but I'd love to feel like there was more reason to branch out if you wanted for example. I wonder sometimes if I miss out on some of the experiences certain games offer, just because I stay solo.

I also play solo myself - it's a preference. But in terms of playing together, some weekly quests (once you get to a certain level) requires you to cook together, etc. So there's then a need to do visits/interaction if you want to get those 30 coins. Aside from that, there's always the flow trees.

yeah it is, if you get to the final island without doing a correct amount of main stuff it locks you out, you can leave the game while inside the temple and potentially lock yourself out of it completely, climbing isn't completely fixed in there (or out), you can throw away gold treasure and then you're stuck and all sorts of other things

oh and ofc the bundle final reward only works for 1 person per server, meaning everyone else cannot get it... just a few things 😄

Does the sernuk thing happen to you often? It was happening to me quite a bit but did get better over time. I try to spook them first. If they don’t spook I don’t shoot.
