All your settings are saved on the server, probably auto updated to max from update. It's not saving on the server as they're booting up, please give it time. I am aware it's not an issue on your end, but the server needs to sync up all these people trying to log in/out/in again, and it's an ONLINE only game, so if the server isn't stable, neither will your game at the moment. Please be patient y'all. Let the devs sleep.

Hey guys, theres some info that can be helpful. After you log in you must wait till 6 am or 6pm to get your christmas tree. Then also you will get a quest that ask you to talk with 24 npc's, they give you christmas decoration. Theres no christmas shop YET because is bugged but you can still get some stuff from npc if you talk to them

I'm all for negative feedback -- if someone isn't happy, let the devs know. My biggest issue is when people come in here on full blast and full of fire to rant rather than providing the constructive criticism directly to the devs where it matters most. Yes, the S6 team have been really active here tonight, which is fantastic, but that's usually not the case -- and coming in here to rant usually results in a bunch of people either trying to help fix the problem (with varying levels of success or failure) or people trying to calm down the angry person, which doesn't always go well. Constructive negative feedback's fantastic and S6 needs that -- but someone coming in angry isn't going to necessarily provide constructive feedback.

I'd like to say that YES, I wanna hear everything people have to say, good and bad, and so I can decide if Palia is worth being played or not. Cause right now I personaly feel devs don't give a damn about the game anymore. I'm sorry, guys, I know we all like Palia and some of u even LOVE this game, but, a company doesn't put a product up online without a minimal TEST. Game went offline for 11 hours for xtmas updates and once its FINALLY ON we find out they didn't even BOTHER to check if the items were avaliable on the store?!?!?! im never shy to speak about how i personally want things to be but realistically, S6 cant cater to every single one of us as a whole… ive seen some ppl who have had great feedback statements who also were very respectful. ive also seen others who demand and criticize… the game is in beta currently being in beta is to fix bugs and main issues and gather data on how to make the game better. arguing is no way to settle things just relax and enjoy the ride, even if its bumpy!! i enjoy reading chat but not when its CRAZYYY.

Just wanted to say that I appreciate the devs and all of you here — @kindred hare, yes, you too. I think it’s important to note that while the holiday season is a cheery one, sometimes as humans it can bring out the worst in us, because the reality is it’s an extremely busy and stressful time of year, and the devs have been working their butts off to create beautiful, fun, and cozy content that’s free for all of us to share. Not to mention, a lot of people have lost loved ones, so not being able to spend this precious time with them…it’s beyond depressing. At the end of the day, I think we need to take a step back and remember that we the playerbase are humans just like the dev team. I encourage feedback of all kinds. I’ve given negative feedback myself already plenty of times, but what truly makes the difference is the way we go about it. I want to hear people’s wants/needs, and I know a lot of the people here and the devs want to, as well. Let’s take the time to make this game/community better together, and let’s open our hearts a little more along the way. Happy holidays to all of you. 💗✨☃️🎄❄️

It’s…not a finished game, and the devs busted their backsides for almost 13 hours today and are planning to get up and hit it again tomorrow. Plus it’s a free to play game that doesn’t require you to spend on progression but only on skins. So any real money you spent up to this point was entirely discretionary. I for one am going to say thank you to the dev team and the mods on this thread. Y’all did yoeman’s work today and tonight and hopefully you will achieve your full aim tomorrow. There is some things you cannot test without a high number of players connecting at once. We are in beta. To see how the servers proceed with a high number of people playing at the same time is part of the tests they make. And they can't really do that on their own

I got on after the first maintenance and got a letter from Zeki, fixed my garden. I got on after the second maintenance, got no letter. I have fixed my garden again. It is currently on the third day where I'm about to fix my garden a third time.

No.... the game is still the product. And youre still the customer. The money is just made differently. In their case its getting you into the game so you feel inclined to buy skins.

Also, for people complaining about ANY game that is rough at launch. It makes no sense to build out infrastructure for a lot of people for 1 day which will dip back down after. And you cant test the full amount of people without... well.. launching it

Just a thought here:

They were working on the server for 12 hours. They brought it up just after the 8 hour mark -- it's likely they checked then to make sure everything was working before bringing it up. However, add on the additional 4 hours of "crap why did it go down", and it's entirely possible they did not check the shop because it was working at the 8-hour mark and so they figured that wouldn't revert. Is it a mistake? Yes. Is it the end of the world? Likely not, and it's quite likely an oversight based on all that extra work they didn't expect to need to do today. When your game crashes massively after a patch, the focus is on getting it up/stable -- and they were likely exhausted, and they've already said they'll be fixing stuff like that tomorrow.

I feel like the devs DO care very much about the game. They spent a WHOLE day fixing it for us. How can anyone say they don't care? I guess you can let the frustration take you down and fill you will negativity but at the end of the day, it's just a game and it's not that deep. They are doing their best with this new game of theirs and I choose to look at it as a positive that they released it early for us to enjoy! That's something worth celebrating even when we have a little down time for things like showering, calling your mom (something I did today!), visiting your real life neighbors or cleaning up your space. It's not that deep and you'll feel better all over looking at the positives, I promise! ❤️

Been in QA for over a decade. What you're talking about is called a Smoke Test. The issues you called out here are what we call "known shippable" bugs. And, regarding the issues currently in the game right now, there's about a million things that could have gone wrong that a smoke test wouldn't have uncovered. Welcome to live service games.

Has anyone considered there might be more going on behind the scenes? Like a partner or publisher that’s pushing the devs to skip out on quality control? “It’s in open beta!” At this point can only go so far. These aren’t newbie developers, they have to know that this has been a hot mess from the start. The devs are people too. They deserve to be appreciated for the work that they do. If there’s someone behind the scenes pushing them to rush the process (perhaps for a holiday switch release that definitely isn’t going to happen) then negative feedback is a good way to get back to those channels, not just the devs.
