Yes, it's good to upgrade and then the iron chests are locked. Usually recipes pull starred items first for some reason so it's good to lock up items you don't want to accidentally use....like accidentally grilling your epic fish...

So personally if I don't see one when I go get sweet leaves I just go back another day or something

A game can still be 'cozy' with combat, if it's anything like the rest of the skills combat would be optional. If you didn't want to touch combat at all and focus of the life skills then you would be able to do that. Plus we aren't talking about dark souls level of combat here.

I agree, aside from having a shared world there really isn't much 'mmo' to Palia. Sure you can cook together and cut down a tree together but that's about it. Half the time I forget this is even a multiplayer game until I run across someone. You rarely interact or speak with anyone. For being cozy I think it's the most lonely I felt in an mmo lol
