👋 I'm Julia (19 in a few months) and I'm from USA. My first language is Polish.
I know all English words, it's just that I'm unable to speak smoothly in English. I usually stutter and talk slowly. My goal is to converse at a faster rate and use larger vocabulary. <- That's in person. I'm good online though.
In person, the words don't stick in my head and I have hard time recalling what I want to use. Or I remember a certain word in Polish and forget what it is in English (and vice versa). Because, growing up I didn't have people to talk with in English for long periods time.
Another problem I have is with my memory. I want to get into acting and public speaking and in order to do that I need to be absolutely fluent and be good with improv.
Overall, I really want to improve my friendships and social life.
Anyways, ramble time is over.
I hope hopping into voice chats will help me out.

Hello everyone! I’m not new here but I just picked english back up and set some goals for myself. I aim to find a penpal I can write and possibly talk to at least every 2 days. I’m planning to assign a topic (like an excerpt on general stuff, nothing you have to be truly knowledgeable about, note that it’s an exercise to practice on the language) to myself, a topic to extend up to 150 words (typical test length required). The whole process would be less bothersome and more fun if someone decided to join me :). I’m willing to help review the writings (grammatically and structurally).
For the record this isn’t final, obv we can adjust it to suit everyone.
By the way I’m turning 19 in 1 month and I kill time by reading manwhas, playing games (I used to do ceramics but healthy hobbies are hard to keep up :() and cooking
