My opinion may be short sighted since I’m far from the CS field (I’m in mechE and at best wandering around aerospace & nuclear field), but I’ll just say that between 2018-2023 the computer science field grew at huge rates. Even people with the sole background built from online programs like coursera and so on, were able to get employed with high salaries since they needed more “low level work force”.

The situation “now” has shifted but it doesn’t mean that the CS graduate will be unemployed…but then again it depends also on what country do you live in.
