"aptitude, always remove the packages that were automatically installed in the past as dependencies, and that are not required anymore. It does not provide an explicit autoremove command." theres no way of getting rid of that "feature" i guess
do you have any specific problem or error, as from what you said it seems like some versions conflict
never works with that but seomthime reading manual is useful https://wiki.debian.org/Aptitude

Gemini Free Tier (Rate Limited)
It depends on your usage, but I would not recommend using a free tier API for production. These tiers usually have strict rate limits, meaning you cannot send a large number of requests. If you have many clients, it will not work. The free tier is mainly intended for personal projects and experimentation.
my only client is me
yeah its a personal project but it involves 3-4 api calls simulateously
rag application
It is alright. Start small. By that, I mean begin with the simplest project you can think of and plan ahead. Decide what you want to build, how many features it should have, and then try to build them. If you have never built a challenging project before, it can be helpful to follow a video or a guideline. That said, this can be limiting because you are shadowing the original builder. Still, it is useful for beginners, as the process allows you to see behind the scenes work. However, if you want to be truly free, you need a strong understanding of the programming languages or frameworks you are working with. Eventually, you will reach a point where, if you can think of something, you can build it. It will never be painless, as technology changes quickly and you must learn to adapt.
Tldr: Start simple, follow a video or guide, master the tools, and then learn to use them precisely to build anything you want. You will get stuck, but do not give up. I wish you all the best.

Thanks for details

Hi guys Who can develop a new project without AI?
is it impossible?
I am a full stack developer and now I am studying AI/ML.
I wanna develop an AI-integrated web application to fully understand the workflow of AI development in practice.
Anybody can help me? If you want, we can collaborate to develop such project via GitHub and slack
Hi
Yes, it's possible
i have a technical interview tomorrow for a js developer and i wanna practice it, is there's anyone could help me ?
I get this feeling that programmers starting out and even a little way in are expecting that applications should be coded in a few days, and this is not happening because of the AI not being good. When it comes to those job interviews and forgetting the syntax, thats possibly a sign that the personal skills never set in yet. Sure its not easy to do a test on the fly, but I think people starting out should realize, there is a lot involved in developing a robust and steady piece of code that meets the requirements for the system, and this is not a 2 day task, rather weeks or months for a small application. With a good idea, an application could take 1-1.5 man.years to get operating to a point of commercializing a version 1 with the confidence of knowing it has minimal errors and any that might happen are trapped and handled and won't wipe out a client's data.
Don't be discouraged at one's skill levels, but learn, and use the skills, and don't leave it to AI unless that is the occupation/role you don't want.

Doe anyone know React?
yes I'm a front-end developer, working with Reactjs and Nextjs.
Hey, people, I'm looking for a new opportunity, do you know of any companies that are hiring java developers?

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Is there any group or anyone interested in data analytics or data science discussion?
I'm currently working as a junior data analyst and planning to move toward a data architect role. Would love to connect - please DM me or add me if there's a group š
How long have you been working with React?
Just start chatting about it here. There are many DA folk. And others with interests in the area. Don't wait for someone to say yes, or no. They are here. Start with an on topic question or opinion on something, and see what reaction you get from others. Sometimes there are nice chains of discussion, if only they would start with someone bringing up something.

Your profile says you've been in this server for 1.5 years. I guess that new.

Iām exploring the path toward a data architect role.
For those whoāve made this transition (or are working as data engineers/architects):
what skills or concepts made the biggest difference for you early on?
Yess! š
Iāve been around for a while but wasnāt very active earlier ā mostly just reading and learning.
Now Iām trying to be more involved and connect with people who are genuinely interested in data (analytics/engineering) and open to regular discussions.
Iām from New Delhi, India, and English isnāt my native language, so Iām also working on improving my communication along with my data skills.
that's cool

Heyyyy
During the last half of my career, for me, the design of systems has distilled down to the foundation of a comprehensive Entity-relation diagram. With this, everything gets built on top being a simple CRUD architecture. Use the simple Systems model of Output <- Process <- input. Work out what the customer wants out of the system. What data. Determine any processes that produce that output, and the inputs that are required to drive those processes. Put all the I/o data in your ER diagram and you set to go. The rest is just decoration.
To determine the Data requirements, and get yourself set up with a good systematic approach to requirements elicitation I recommend you get yourself a copy of BABOK (The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) . If you want to organize yourself and run the development systematically then also grab a copy of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge). These provide the step by step processes for design and project management. I recommend a hard copy, so its always with you.
https://www.iiba.org/career-resources/a-business-analysis-professionals-foundation-for-success/babok/
https://www.pmi.org/standards/pmbok
You can even subscribe to these organizations for long term learning, access to resources etc, but the 2 guides have been fine for me over the years. These will lead your career into the future.
But Practice your Entity-Relation diagram drawing skills. Normalize everything. Start building databases.
What is the Global Standard for the practice of Business analysis? A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of KnowledgeĀ® (BABOKĀ® Guide) is the global standard for the practice of business analysis. The BABOKĀ® Guide describes business analysis knowledge areas, tasks, underlying competencies, techniques and perspectives on how to approach busines...
The PMBOK Guide provides project managers with the fundamental practices needed to achieve organizational results and excellence.
Just lost in this Tech world
This is really helpful, thanks for sharing.
The output ā process ā input approach and starting from ER diagrams makes a lot of sense. Iām already fairly strong in DBMS and SQL, so this helps me see how to extend that into proper system and architecture design.
Iāll check out BABOK first and then PMBOK. Appreciate the guidance.

Hey everyone! Iāve been working on a project called "The AI Signal" to help bridge the gap between technical AI news and practical tools.
Since many of you are prepping for certs or working in data/dev roles (saw the discussion on ER diagrams and system design earlier!), Iād love to get some feedback on the latest update I pushedāspecifically the new thumbnail and site layout.
Iām also curious: as devs/learners, are you finding it hard to keep up with AI news while studying? Iām trying to keep the site "noise-free," so if you find the content helpful for your career growth, feel free to subscribe to the newsletter.
Check it out here: https://theaisignal.news/
Would love to hear your thoughts on the UI
Most AI news is hype. We provide the synthesis. Every morning, The AI Signal cuts through the headlines to deliver: Market Shifts: Where the "smart money" is moving. Operational Edge: Tools and workflows to 10x your output. Future-Proofing: Analyzing the 1% of tech that survives the cycle. No fluff. No "mind-blowing" clickbait. Just institutiona...

Hello
I kid you not.. Some bank do this with your money...
This is done by some banks with real money
never heard of banks. What do they do with money?
serious question - what do banks do with money?

This is how I go to bed knowing I've no money:

re invest
ppl give money -> they reserve some cash -> leftover cash in giving loans and investment

CyberSecurity
Thank you
Honestly, I don't know. But I can tell you one thing. No matter what you decide to pursue, you've to pick a niche and specialise. For example, if you want to become an AI engineer, you not only need to understand the entire pipeline, but you also need to master a specific area. The goal is to be the person people go to for that specialism, cz most entry level roles are about to be automated. I wish you all the best.

no way, Iāve been assuming this whole time they were just scamming us

I was surprised to learn theyāre operating with 'virtual' money itās basically just numbers in a database, and most of it doesnāt even exist in the real world
they are giving people just words, not real physical value
quite descriptive answer
usually ATMs have a specific amount of cash stored inside them. People donāt withdraw millions of dollars at once so the machines physically store money for regular withdrawals.
now when we talk about how banks work, you might wonder how you earn interest on your money. There are different schemes such as fixed deposits (FD),recurring Deposits (RD), and other types of deposits where the bank pays you interest.
But how does the bank give you this extra money? Banks earn it by providing loans and other financial schemes to people. When customers take loans, they pay interest to the bank based on the principal amount. The bank then uses this interest to pay depositors like you. This is one of the main ways banks operate.
Banks can also raise money through IPOs (Initial Public Offerings). When people buy shares of the bank, the bank gets funds, which it can then reinvest into its operations.
aha but I basically meant not atm withdrawals Iām talking about other ways. If a lot of people suddenly start taking money out of the bank, they could run out quickly since itās just a matter of liquidity
serious topic for the first time here, not good, let's fix it
much better
moder problems require modern solutions
Hi everyone, any golang programmer here?
we dont fw golang

They reserve lot of liquidity
just html
lol
jeje jk
anyways, how's going?
bored, just waiting for a meeting
got it
Where do they get the extra cash to pay the interest after they borrow the first cash as a loan?
Letās take an example: you took a loan of $10,000 at 10% per month for 2 years. The bank gives you $10,000 and you pay 10% of the principal amount every month for 2 years. After 2 years, the bank would have generated $24,000 in interest.
Now this extra income will be re-invested and giving interest to it's user
Yes, but where did the user get the 24K to pay the bank?
Printed the cash?
oh ok I got what you were asking. Letās say there is a country A with 10 people in it. There will be an organization (central bank) that evaluates its expenditure, and based on that expenditure, it prints money. Then people work and earn that money and thatās how money flows in the country. As far as I remember in the banking subject
So a unit of paper currency is a unit of human debt owed to society?
or to the organization called 'the central bank' which is an artificial entity controlled by some overlord
Huh
Hello everyone myself aarish just new here
you can say that
from barter system to cash

Is web dev going to be end, how do you see it
Bullshit š
IA cant do a web full stack project without any error
It's not going to disappear overnight, but in five years there's a possibility that we may not have to write a single line of code at all. A couple of years ago, we couldn't even imagine what AI can do in coding now, and I think the models will continue to improve, even though whether we can ever create truly intelligent general AI remains up for debate.

ā¤ļø
That is what human also can't, but the demand of web developers will hugely effect in future
Yes sudden improvement in AI has changed things completely but more powerful AI agents are expected and they could act what we can't guess now
I'm well aware that the current models still have a lot of limitations, but the truth of the matter is that we've got to remind ourselves of those dreadful Stack Overflow days when we'd often have to wait for days to get an answer or spend hours or even days searching for fixes, and now AI can do all that and more within seconds.

Finally something I can understand
We could have waited for days, or just read the manual immediately

So I started using Cursor.
Quick question⦠can I delete VS Code now? Or is that a crime?
I hope Iranians stay close to their codebases and even closer to their manuals cz based on the current trend something is about to go burrrrrrrrr.
š
š
Rust ?
'Tis very nice. Looks like C++, but also not.
stack overflow. it was a long day ago. used to find a way to solve the issue there.
but sometimes find the exact same issue for over 30 mins, and find the comment by the owner like "nvm, I've solved this issue on my end" and goes bruhhh.
old days for sure.
When there are 100 people in a chain all trying to work out solutions, and that appears, and silence.
Yeaahh exactly, Rust is beautiful as C/C++ šāāļø
Exactly progress is easier now
hello there šš½.
I'm starting programming with Python, how can I start it effectively as I'm doing it alone. š
Python? Im so sorry
why ? what's wrong with python?
its bad if u aint gon use for IA
Python was my first lang too
But I dont like it as i like Rust
then I think it's good for robotics, isn't it?
python is the best when it comes to data engineering
Hi guys, help me!
Who likes playing bingo?
Who can explain the game logic to me?
Random numbers are called ā players mark matches ā first to complete the required pattern wins.
u usally mark the numbers that are randomly called in 5Ć5 card (maybe can be different)
In this video, you will be learning Python with these 5 projects, starting at the very beginner level and slowly working our way up to something more advanced. For those who are complete beginners, I'm going to explaining everything as if you've never used Python before and even show you how to install the program and set up you editor. We will ...

Thx for your reply.
i wanna know Jackpot logic.
How does it increase and win?
Jackpot value is different per clients?
thanks š.

Python was made for kids to use in school to drive robot hands in beginner classes. Unfortunately it became mainstream. For me the biggest detractor is a 'space' can destroy your program. A language that uses text processing as part of it's syntax is not a real language imo.
I would expect there to be a winner with every full set of numbers drawn. So no jackpot.
Unless they remove a number from the set and then that stops all the cards from being completed. Only cards without that number would be successful, and the jackpot would be won by the first to call bingo.
may your code compile on the first try
š
I've just finished consulting with the board of Wise, and after analysing your situation, they've unequivocally agreed that the punishment for uninstalling VS Code is at least 420 hours of debugging (manual) spaghetti code written by a model from two years ago.

Thx
Hi everyone, Iām currently looking for a new partner to collaborate with me on my work.
If you compare bingo with lotto, in bingo all numbers get called (worst case [everyone has the same number on their card and that number is called last]), so everyone will fill their card eventually. The winner is just the first to fill a card. With lotto, not all numbers are draw from the full set. Players chose say 6 of 45 numbers. If no one picks the 6 numbers that are drawn, then there is no winner. The game can then accumulate a jackpot between each new run of the game.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you.
Hi, I'm looking for a partner to practice English for developers, message me if you are interested, please

What ya need?
well i was doing self learning for a year and i got learn stuffs like sql python and pandas and now i just want to know what ii should do next and what kinda of certifications i would need to get a jod or an intrnship ?
Try and build a program to manage some information for yourself. A music library, contacts list, things to do organizer are good starting points. Dr if you can get it working completely with no lose ends. Plan it first and build it. Set our your database before you physically build it etc. Get it working so it's useable and does everything you put in your requirements. Ensure you trap errors; test it, try to crash it... It shouldn't crash. This will give you confidence in yourself and something to show it talk about during interviews. It's also practice for what you would be doing in a real job. It also lets you say to yourself, that you have the skills to be the only computer person in a small business, if they want to employ you to write custom software for them. Small companies with only a handful of employees often lol for a 'computer person' to be on staff and handle all the technical stuff. Either buy or the shelf solutions and set them up and run them, it build something special for the company.
Well i was a little lazy to set a bbq fire, so i smoked the meat by burning some small sticks and placing them in a covered frypan for 30 minutes, then a quick pan fry. Tasted wood fired. Reminded me of the smell of local bush fires.
š„
š„©
šŗ
So i have been falling asleep listening to ai videos trying to analyze what is different between the ai voice and a human voice. Apart from them droning one to sleep, I think a key indicator now, since waking up, is there is a continuous equal space between each sentence. It never stops to pause on important notes. Nothing is more important than any other sentence. All sentences are equal weighted in their emphasis. Remember this when you need to hang up on a bot. ( They will one day figure this out but for now, it's your weapon)

Anthropic: We have identified industrial-scale distillation attacks on our models by DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and MiniMax. These labs created over 24,000 fraudulent accounts and generated over 16 million exchanges with Claude, extracting its capabilities to train and improve their own models.
Users: How were your models trained? Where did the data come from?
Anthropic:

it reminds me of this
ahhh data privacy, what a luxury
American AI Lab:
We are going to steal user data and build a great model.
Chinese AI Lab:
We are going to steal the American AI Lab's model by distilling its responses.
American AI Lab:
Absolutely not. That is unethical. You cannot do that.
Chinese AI Lab:

But the question remains whether they understand what they are doing. Do humans actually understand what they are doing, or is that understanding just an illusion? If it is an illusion, can we genuinely describe these AI models as stochastic parrots?

Hi
It's so sad the original message was deleted. I couldn't wait to take advantage of that job offer where I could earn $5 and then unlock new levels where I'd be able to earn up to $100, which absolutely didn't sound like a dodgy SCAM at all.
But why would it want to stab a human? Would it ever understand what "want" even means? If it did, I'd happily accept that fate, but if it did not, it would be deeply disappointing that a human being was stabbed by a hallucinating AI bot.

I was just scrolling through my Twitter feed and found this tweet:
"there simply aren't enough hours in the day to play with everything groundbreaking in AI right now AAAAA šš"
Almost every major lab is releasing something new or deploying incremental changes so frequently that the pace has very likely overwhelmed most people who are not coders or actively building something with AI. I'm just waiting for something significant, but I think it's going to be a long, incremental route. However, if the majority of the population don't even get enough time to acclimatise and end up failing to adopt it or feeling alienated, then what's the point?

Wouldn't money be insignificant in a post-AGI world?

Isn't it insignificant now?
Paying for gigs with RAM and other hardware - that's the way
AI will take This over
I totally feel that.
In fact I even stopped following the tech news because I can't keep up with it anymore.
It's that funny how for one lifetime computers made a full circle from being the giant mainframes only affordable by big tech to personal computers and now back to mainframes in the form of data centers. (Thanks to the growing demand of first GPUs and now RAM)
Hey everyone
Did someone ever used or trained deepfake detection models?
I was thinking about that the other day also. The AIs will be only a handfull, all integrated and controlling us through the removal of simple individual non-networked computing. People like you will be sitting in your sell in 50 years time, surrounded by junk laptops, building little things to make your life better, while the work is spoon fed from the mass-AI overlord. Your skills will be called upon by the rebel forces to assist in breaking through tech barriers to held one day destroy the AI that rules the world.
For example, yesterday Google released Nano Banana 2, which is probably one of the best SOTA production ready image generation models. But guess what? I haven't generated a single image to test it out yet. I just don't feel like using it.

Guys, is not about proggraming exatcly, but someone knows where i can get an ITIL 5 certification/training, we have a couple ones here in Brazil, but i wanted an US/UK one
Well as itil is a standard, it should be the same world wide - I would think.
ITIL empowers individuals and organizations to achieve success. Explore the worldās most widely used framework for IT service management!
Got it. I saw that we have certifications here, but I donāt know how to verify if they are valued outside Brazil. I saw a āPeopleCert ITIL Certification sealā, and I would like to check if it is valid worldwide. Is there an ID or some place where I can search for official representatives?
Over my years in my career, i went through a lot of iterations of such frameworks and management models, but never had a piece of paper to say i was a professional in them. Most interviewer who are in ICT don't either, and a lot of companies don't actually use the frameworks formally ( even though this is what this one says to do). However if you get yourself access to the system, and read it yourself and understand the basics of what the framework/system is doing, then it's going to be fine to say you understand the knowledge there in, and give some examples of it in the interview. The implementation of such systems is always going to be different from business to business, but they want to know, that you know how to work in a formal ict environment. Understanding configuration management principals is essential, but doesn't require paper to provide it. Them knowing you understand it is much more important to them.
I saw it earlier but wasn't sure whether to share it in the channel, but it's one hell of an ad tho.

Quick update: Some countries are sliding inexorably towards war, and it is very likely they are using AI powered automated weaponry programmed to neutralise threats in real time. If this kerfuffle turns into anything close to a war, I think we are cooked.

To be honest, I don't feel that way about it. I mean, you perfectly right about the statement, it's just, things don't look like plain f(sinx) rather more like f(sinx * ex). Given x 0 -> inf. It's like a bouncing ball that falls and always rises higher than it was.

What do you guys think about Vibe Coding front end only?

Can anyone share a good website for learning Git?
thank you
Given an integer n, return the decimal value of the binary string formed by concatenating the binary representations of 1 to n in order, modulo 109 + 7.
Interesting
Your example brings back some thoughts from long ago. We used to write programs that got more complex over time. We had a user interface in applications, and some of them could be used to customize the application. More and more features get added and the application is customizable by the user more and more. We basically build a mini language into the interfaces to allow great flexibility for the end user, to make the interface work the way they wanted.
But in doing that, we never said they were programming the interface. There was a lot of code behind the scenes in the application to provide the customizable interface. That was what we did as programmers. The people that used the interface we said were 'configuring' the interface. The interface could be quite complex and had a configuration manual to allow the end users to get the output they wanted without us having to hard code the interface.
Basically over the past 20-25 years a lot of what is called web development is just the configuration of an interface that the ancient programmers created for end users.
A Shopify store is such an interface. The ancients would not call it programming, rather just configuring an interface.
Vibe coding is just getting an AI to configure an interface, but its not real coding. Its just putting together the components of an interface in accordance with the rules of the interface. It doesnt matter what order you switch things on or off in the interface. Similarly a vibe output will look different each time it is prompted, but it still does the same thing, cause the logic is not really required.
If one really wants to understand the application interface that is provided, it needs to be structured and consistent, from one iteration to the next. When something goes wrong, the programmer should be able to find the area of issue and fix it, and then be able to revisit it in the future and find it as they left it.
An AI is like Stevie Wonder's (a blind man [if you don't know your history]) wife. When she is mad at him, she rearranges the furniture in the house. An AI does the samer to you. Its different every time you ask it to do something. Its not programming, its just configuring, and you are keeping a configuration script of prompts (hopefully) to regenerate what you have asked already. But regardless, it is different each time, and you will never really know what is there, or how to fix a bug, if the AI goes on holiday

A domain-specific language (DSL) is a computer language specialized to a specific application domain. This is in contrast to a general-purpose language (GPL), which is broadly applicable across domains. There are a wide variety of DSLs, ranging from widely used languages for common domains, such as HTML for web pages, down to languages used by o...

So California and Colorado have passed legislation to require operating systems to collect age verification information from users/accounts and pass this on to application developers, so they can verifiy age of users. This will probably spread across the country eventually or even internationally if more consideration of the matter is not taken by lawmakers. In summary,
This can eventually expand to more control over access to machines, data, and political censorship.
Operating systems exist in almost every piece of technology in existance, down to simple embedded systems in washing machines, or IOT etc.
While this video talks about Linux in particular, it appears the simplest avenue being taken by Op Sys developers is to exclude residents from these 2 states from access to the use of the system through their license agreement. Basically, you live there, this is not suitable for your use.

Can someone actually fkn tell me what to do? I asked a guy as I'm going for java fsd and dsa he said don't go for it, I asked what to do then, he vanished š®āšØ
Fsd basically means you should be able to build something fully for yourself if you need to. Very important if you ever get a gig job that the client wants something built from scratch rather than just adding to what they have.
Also if you are really going to be serious in this industry, you should be able to build something that runs without needing to ask others to build bits of it for you. You should start building some desktop applications rather than venturing out to the web, but that can come a little later. Learn a language, learn how to design a database using something easily available .. sqlite ,m.. learn sql for write-ups, insert update delete as a start,. That's your ds. The algorithms part is a really a lot of wasted time. Sort, filter searching and string manipulation are the basics using the in-built functions. The brain game sites are good if you work for a company moving shapes around or doing stupid mathematics, but unless you work for nasa or esa, you will most likely only be calculating compound interest. Just know your basic mathematics, trig, geometry, algebra, and maybe a little calculus.
Learn how to talk to people and document their requirements and be precise enough to remove ambiguities or scope will now out very fast.
If you've had a computer since you were a little kid and you are now 20 something and have not written a program yet, then perhaps another career might suit you. Computer work needs passion. If you have not had a computer access until now because of economic situation, but have the passion, then keep on your mission. It will be a fun career.

IM HONORED TO HAVE THOSE WORDS AND THAT ADVICE. AS I'LL BE DOING AND IK IT AINT GONNA BE EASY BUT WITH THE THINGS U MENTIONED I BELIEVE I WONT HAVE TO GIVE UP ON WHAT I STARTED . I APPRECIATE IT A LOT.
It's not the passion. I touched that surface like in 2025 . So yeah and at first it was hard but when I started getting things nothing felt better than this

Please never isolate yourself. Go out, spend time with friends and family, do something purely for fun, and pick up a new hobby or two. Programming and your career or job are parts of your life, but not life itself.
Try setting a timer for 30 minutes or an hour, work diligently during that time with no distractions, then take a break. You can divide your day into these focused chunks. Do not feel guilty about not writing code or being productive every moment. Just try to find the right balance. I wish you all the best.

When I went to Uni to do my degree, I was addicted to programming and all things computing. We didnt have PCs in those days, or they were just starting to become available at a price we could afford. Hanging out in the computer labs was essential if I wanted to do big development, which was done on the mainframes (Look up Cyber 72, or DEC10, PDP11 ) But being at Uni, I had a miserable first year of not much socializing, except with the handfull of computer folk that build their own machines. The following year I attended a Uni orientation camp, and met lots of people ( lets say a group of about 20, equally guys/gals) and we basically stuck together for many years to come, and I still have them as my closest friends decades later). The important thing is, to get into a club or something, that is equally popular with girls and guys. Dancing is a great place to get away from the computer, and be with irl people, and you may even get a partner , even if for only a few months or a few years or life . Our group got together on weekends and went to eat out at cheap restaurants, and went to movies, and events in the town, or just took turns having parties at each others places. If you can get involved and don't feel self conscious, just enjoy the company, even if you are quiet relative to others, you can always add a cooment or interjection to a conversation, or just talk one on one with someone. If you dont get such an active group then, be the leader. Call them all up and arrange an activity each week. Get the people you know to get out and meet up in town. Look up n the internet, party games and general things to do in you town. Search on how to meet friends irl and be active. There is a lot online to read and do. Its as important as programming and ICT. Social media is a different way of living for this generation, but the old ways of irl activities is still a reality and possible if you put some time in and manage your irl life. Good luck.
hey everyone!

Can someone explain what is classes? And what do public, static and void mean?
A class is a blueprint or template used to create objects in a program. It defines what data the object holds and what actions it can perform.
Example idea
A class called Car might define properties such as colour, speed, brand, or actions such as start, stop, accelerate.
Each actual car created from that blueprint is called an object.
class Car {
String colour;
void drive() {
System.out.println("The car is driving");
}
}
public ā accessible from anywhere
static ā can run without creating an object
void ā returns no value
main ā the starting point of the program

It's just a wordplay, I believe. Apart from the fact how OOP languages have tendency to overcomplicate things
SOLID includes the open/closed principle, which says that classes and functions should be "open for extension, but closed for modification". Luca Cardelli has stated that OOP languages have "extremely poor modularity properties with respect to class extension and modification", and tend to be extremely complex.[34] The latter point is reiterated by Joe Armstrong, the principal inventor of Erlang, who is quoted as saying:[35]
The problem with object-oriented languages is they've got all this implicit environment that they carry around with them. You wanted a banana but what you got was a gorilla holding the banana and the entire jungle.
Every problem can be solved with a layer of abstraction. Except for the problem of too many abstraction layers.
We don't really care. We admit and make fun of cons coming with our ways
