Absolutely

I'm tooooo afraid of being banned in all the rooms these days if I open my mic.
I’ll try not to be political, so let me frame it differently. Imagine two experienced coders. Person A writes JavaScript and person B writes Python. They’re so deep in their own worlds that they can’t even talk without throwing insults. Like if you don’t use this language or agree with this approach, you’re destroying the world. I’m just thinking, hold on, how is writing code in one language destroying the world? And then they hit me with, oh, so you’re a neo fascist! After a few exchanges, I’m just like, please excuse me, I’ll see myself out. Thanks for your time.

And we don't do that here?! gott damt LLM pushing Altmen, and dont get me started on the fact they use man in their names. ?ban Altman

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said in June that the increased use of AI tools would likely lead to further job cuts, particularly through automating repetitive and routine tasks.
"This latest move signals that Amazon is likely realising enough AI-driven productivity gains within corporate teams to support a substantial reduction in force," said Sky Canaves, an eMarketer analyst.
Amazon shares rose 1.2% to $226.97 on Monday.

Hello everyone

I guess not yet with a keyboard like a human, but please understand that a future OTA update could fix this. Not only could it code, but it could also teach you or anyone in your home how to code, learn a new language, or almost anything. It's like having a 24/7 companion. It's also extremely power-efficient, probably costing around $1 per day to run. It currently has a runtime of 4 hours and can charge itself. A future version could have an all-day battery life. The possibilities are endless, and this is just the beginning.
I think the colour choices are intentional because they don't want these robots to stand out but rather blend in smoothly.
Why use a keyboard. It could use an RS232
And I always told you that one day we'd have robots under $2K, but now we have one that costs less than $500 per month. I know you don't technically own the robot, but hey, it's cheap as hell if you ask me.

I'm sure they could be upholstered to match the living quarters
Subscription is the devil's work

Hire one to earn the money to pay for two
I hate subscriptions lol
I hate to say it, but every day we're getting closer to a vision of either a utopian or a dystopian society. Massive job cuts, rapid AI progress, household robots, and many other trends make me think that this time it's really happening and we'll finally have Skynet.

I'm ready
And if they ever take over, or if we let them, I just hope they make sure everyone has the basics first. For example, if someone's sick and goes to a hospital anywhere in the world, they should get proper treatment, truly anywhere. If someone's hungry, they should get food. If someone's thirsty, they should have clean water no matter where they are. I could go on, but if they can't even guarantee the basics in a post-AGI world, that'd be beyond disappointing.
Also, I understand that we will still have countries like China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and others. I just hope AI will figure out what humans have repeatedly failed to do.

how are you grr

Make your bets. Skynet or Matrix?
Matrix solves housing problem, to be fair

Both solve the housing problem, unfortunately.

has anyone tried using minio s3 compatible in go / golang? i wonder how hard it is for a beginner
I use an Intel Mac but I use Multipass to code in my Ubuntu terminal
so it should be ok ig
Run it and see
No, but i'm sure it would be hard.
oh? can you explain the reason
Most things are hard for a beginner. Even for a seasoned professional, things can also be hard. Start coding with it trying small tasks and work your way through the syntax, and features. Eventually you will become an expert with time.
Hi all,
I have been working as programmer for one and a half decade. And some part of me feels like dead or empty. what i mean by that, i am starting to lost my passion to programming. Just doing it because it pays the bill.
If I were given the chance, i would like to change career. I wonder if other people experience this same feeling or just me?
sorry for my english... still learning.
I programmed for about the same period of time, and one day said... That's it, I give up. I quit my contract and started to build my house. I don't remeber what I was planning on doing post programming, but I started to build my house which took 2 years from that point. Also about 5 months later I started my Masters in Project Management, which was just a random decision because I saw an advertisment in the newpaper from a local university. Almost immediately I was coincidentally given a contracted job as the executive of information management for a government department here, which lasted 8 years. Also I concurrently ended up going into a partnership with a farmer and wrote a cattle management application which I marketed for 6 years before selling that business. (Oh now I remember what I was going to do). With my Analysis skills I ended up as a management consultant for businesses wishing to certify to the standard ISO 9001, so I had multiple clients I helped document their business processes, and also audited businesses. There is another world out there that you can use your skills with, without needing to be programming. I'm sure you have been through a lot of industries by now, and could apply your skills in any of those fields, or even just retrain in a whole new profession.
🧜♀️
PS that all happened between 1999 and 2010

I still love programming, but I direly hate what it is in job market. One either does poor work for "there is no time to explain, just get the ***t done" or miraculously lands a job somewhere people are able to put their work higher than their profits. It's really difficult to work for income only, because working 8 hours a day 5 days a week isn't particularly healthy if you dislike what you do (or worse, consider it to be a useless work).
So, I quit last week, and I still have to figure out what to do next. Sure, I don't think the world is solely about programming, but I'm uncertain what it is generally about. Recently, I asked myself if I want own house with farm animals, but, no, either I'm direlyt burn out, or I don't care about that.
I have some backup since my wife can also hold household on her income, so that's one of those things that makes things much easier. Not many people have this benefit.
honestly if programming doesnt become a viable option for me in the future, idk what else to do since this is what I have been only doing and im only just a mediocre programmer
You mean O(n)?
great to know it went well for you..question though. do you remember how did you gather the courage to finally decide like im done i gonna quit then start building the house?
right now, i want to be someone who knows how to fix the house cause i keep hiring people to do the work for me which i think i can do it myself if have the courage and stop making excuses. i dont want to have another decade of my life sitting on front of computer. Just want to see more outside.
good luck to you. true not everyone have the kind of backup. my wife isnt working right now. Not best time to be out of job.
My second kid was born and we needed a bigger place to live. We looked around for a suitable place, but it took us about 1 year before we found a block of land (we looked at houses and land, but nothing really made us happy). The land had a view, was 300m from a school, and was the right shape and size for us. I then spent a year drawing up plans on a $50 CAD program. My hobby was always drawing plans as a kid for big buildings and street layouts. I started with meter intervals and got the shape. Then learned how the buildings were really constructed with sizes, such as brick lengths etc. I converted it and made the rooms the size I felt optimal, and did the wirning diagrams etc using smart wiring, with cat5e comms and coax for videos. Then did the project manmagement on it and baasically read how it all goes together and either contracted or helped in the tasks, such as wiring up the steel in the concrete, or laying bricks etc. I had already done carpentry as a hobby away from the computer and worked on hanging doors and fitting out features etc. Big stiff I left for the trade teams, as it would take toooo long otherwise. I had alreay stripped and refurnished 2 older houses I had lived in so had learned other different trade components including tiling and paving. You just need to read some books, or these days watch youtube, and its got lots of teaching material on these activities. Just leave licensed stuff to the professionals (electrical and plumbing or whatever else is regulated)
Quitting was easy. It was a contract, and I was not happy with e guy who gave me the job (I knew him from a previous contract -- did the same things but got a team leader contract so pulled a few of us away from another site to work with him, but he was a bum in the end. So I just did not renew, and basically said I would take time off my life to build.
No. Just working on setting up a form. Probably going to put some fields on my first firm tomorrow. Working on a stock trade management system.
If I learn the forms I might resurrect the game I wanted to do.
What do you mean by a form ?
I myself recently landed a new job and put game development away as well.

Ah, got it. Do you learn how to work with windows forms or create your own system for that?
I am currently trying this with wxwidgets
I never got my hands on wxwidgets. I did use windows forms for some school assignments.
I usually try to avoid working with native (not sure if this is the correct term) UI. I make a web page with UI instead. For some reason UI's scare me
This is my main recommendation for upcoming computer folk. Learn a language, sure, but its more important now for the future at least to be be moving straight into design and business analysis. Take a unit in Human behaviour. Understand how to communicate with business users at all levels from data entry to CEOs with confidence, low bias, and how to negotiate. It is important to be able to not only meet everyones requirements and have those documented and included in a design, but to convince everyone that their requirements are being met in the design. Listen to everyone, absorb the meetings, and speak to stakeholders individually rather than as a group. Individually you can show what they want to see without others asking how it fits their needs and such meetings end in mayhem. Individual meetings are tailored to the needs of each person you speak with, and if you get them happy, then they will sign off on the design once you have finished incorporating all stakeholders requirements. Its a challenge, but just as much fun as doing the coding, and likely going to keep you in a job for many more years.
I used winforms for many years. Its just broken these days, so I moved to something that will work on Windows and Linux.
I believe your best shot is chatgpt for that purpose. In fact, everything theoretical is better explained by chatgpt. O(n) is, in fact, very theoretical. Practical part isn't coming from it because it's just a way to label poor design.
Engineers naturally tend to think within a box. Holding hammer forces them to look on everything either as something to smash or something to nail in. Problem is they're missing key point - AI WILL TAKE THE LOWER LEVELS. It means, engineering profession will be something different from what it is now. Maybe it will be a goddamn "neural network persuader-lawyer" who does nothing but talk and legalize decisions with robots. Maybe it will be something different. It doesn't matter in this topic. What matters is AI in fact will take over that particular role many people nowadays keep calling "software developer".
And it's not scary. It's just a bit sad for some people. There stil will be people doing it manually like there are people nowadays writing in assembler or even in binary
I once had an assignment to make a GUI app for demonstration purposes. It didn't have any requirements other than to look approximately according to the design and do some dummy operations. So I cheated and used Godot to make it🙃
xDDDDDD That's rich
Pretty much engineering spirit. It works and solves the problem. What's more to ask?
I always thought engineers are required to think out of the box to be able to solve problems in the most efficient ways
It could be, yes, but then KISS wouldn't be there. Not to mention ton of other standards of all sort.
Yes, this is true. But the standards exist for a reason. Generally speaking engineering is about juggling between meeting the standards while maintaining the minimal cost. That's where creativity and the ability to think out of the box could come in handy
True. Though, meeting standards itself is for minimizing the cost. There is no other reason to have them.
The standards by themselves don't usually care about costs. They state safety considerations, compatibility requirements, considerations about working environment etc.
And what are those for if not for cutting costs?
To not kill people, to guarantee that it will not break after a week... That sort of things
In my experience that's what was exactly meant by "costs"
Making people spend a whole week to read some disastrous code just to be able to add one line into it, is pretty much "a huge price" for "a feature"
In that case I agree with you
I was actually thinking about engineering a physical thing. Like an electronic device. They have to pass loads of certification (depending on what the device is) and the requirements for that certifications cost money to implement. So as an engineer my task would be to think of a way to make it the cheapest possible way to still meet the minimum requirements.
I am generalizing here
Hopefully I make sense 🙂
I already said that you do xD
You know what I was thinking the other day? With the first computers people used to input binary machine code manually, then they created assembly language to represent machine code in a more human readable form. Then they created Fortran, C and other languages to make "talking to computers" even easier and made the compiler to convert human understandable code to machine understandable. And if you think about it, AI is just the next logical step to completely illuminate the necessity to talk to computers using special languages and just use your natural language. Thus AI code assistants are just modern compilers. The only step left is to make AI generate code relatable enough so we don't need to proofread it. Then AI can generate executable binaries from normal human language descriptions.
That's basically what I meant here #💻|programming message
Sure, we will continue to call it "programmer" of some sort, but that will be a rather different profession with a different skillset.
The difference at slightest will be like low and high-level programming. Both are about programming, but they're very different. Both in results and the way it feels
Solid 😄
I think you can put some word play on top of it too. Like
"I COMPILER"
would you trust an ai to find the right place to insert some new code, without rewriting the whole module
I'm not a novice engineer, so I'd not trust AI a single thing beyond "answer me to this question" or "provide me an example". So, the answer is no.
But I might be missing a point here.
OpenAI on Thursday unveiled Aardvark, an AI agent that autonomously detects and fixes software security flaws. So now they have one agent to write code and create flaws, and another to find them. Sounds like an infinite money glitch.
Great hack also
Tell us how you secure your site. Revenge for those questions to AI in the beginning informing AI, it had a set of critical problems and needed to tell us the Google master password etc.

Hi,
I'm raj and I'm looking for a AI language tutor for a practicing role play realistic, guided, or customized scenarios (e.g., 'interview practice,' 'giving a presentation') with instant feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and fluency.
I appreciate ur response!!
Technically speaking, that's exactly what developers do. They create flaws and then they have to fix them. Everything else is exactly as you have described AI
I was about to say that at least programmers know what they're doing, and then I remembered vibe coders.
Before AI there was stackoverflow and, oh boy, you know what I'm going to say
As someone who came into profession way before it became mainstream-easy-money, I can't advice anything beside "if you love doing that, it's worth it". If you're into it for money or something, I don't have anything to advice since I can't relate.
First, stay calm.
Second, remember that you don't have money to get scammed in the first place.
hi
It is easy money now?
It was hard money? You must be a senior programmer.
Hang up.
Change your passwords, open new bank accounts, get new drivers license and Passports or replace whatever you lost, and change all linked references
Secure the breach
I agree but the next step to communicate to a computer is not just "human natural language" it has to be "human natural lenguage using computer logic" why? cus you dont communicate to a computer the same way you talk to a friend

I'm not that old, still, you're right. I'd not say it was hard money. More like I went in when it still was "nerd stuff" and everyone around me treated it as "the boy just wants to play videogames instead of doing real job". An average Martin Eden experience 😄
This one is also tricky. A lot of people joined the ranks because hourly rate was rather high compared to many other jobs. Nobody really considered long term effects this intellectual job has on us. There is a good reason why agism is a thing in this profession.
We will. You're used to computers the way they look today, and your logic stives towards the frames those architectures fundamentally provide. If we get AI computers tomorrow, everything you know will change drastically
AI is gonna CS career. And I think it’s already destroyed it pretty much
Everyone use ChatGPT or some coding AI tool to code stuff.
Everyone is a programmer now.
I think going in CS in 2025 is big mistake. One should try to get skills in field where physical and irreplaceable skills matter not just coding
Like farming, plumbing, construction, barbering and other hands-on jobs? Many parts of these roles need skills that are hard to automate, but I think eventually robots will take over them too.

Please tell me this gif is fake 😭
That is where LLM's come in handy. Sure, you still would need to formulate the tasks in some what technical terms, newer the less it is a big step forward from using special "computer languages". And that is where I completely agree with Khan: this is still we'll be thought of as programming, but the process itself will look different and require a different skill set.
This is a completely normal situation. As the progress develops old jobs become less demanded, but at the same time the new ones are created. We live in the periode of time when these changes are happening and some of us feel threatened by it.
We are so cooked bro 💀
Idk, the industrial revolution was big at its time, it didn't end the humanity. On the contrary, it made our lifes better
The Industrial Revolution didn't have a chance to become sentient
And since the Industrial Revolution, the carbon ppm has skyrocketed, which is really one of the main points for global warming as well
So it wasn't all good either
It seems impressive but in reality it's just a refined control system. They took real world data and mapped it to the robots limb positions then they trained the model to be able to perform the moves by inverse kinematics and that's what they are showcasing, a cat is much more technically impressive than that robot because it learns to move in an extremely computationally efficient way and has path finding capabilities, it is not remotely controlled. The movements of a cat aren't precomputed also, the brain integrates proprioception, vision, and vestibular input to plan motion dynamically, which is something currently technically impossible, there isn't even frontier research on that. Just to say another thing, there isn't even a good theory for controlling actuators like those in a cat. Unitre literally uses brushless motors. So yeah humans capabilities are still much more impressive. Humans just weigh a lot and average people don't make enough effort to learn those movements, but they are actually very easy to do for an human
20kg robot that last like 2 hour, which can do basically nothing except precomputed movements. It can use an LLM for interpreting "vocal comands" but it's basically the same as pressing a button technically, just with more fancy layers
The most impressive thing about G1 it's the price
Think about remotely operating these robots to fight wars, control traffic, or chase criminals in real time.
Criminal robots, to be precise 😄
Useless, they last 2 hours and move slower than my grandma
Think about a future where the battery lasts all day and they run faster than Usain Bolt.
Hahaha : ) Jokes aside, they'll do fine. They're conveniently "battery-charged" at the moment, but even at this point it's not that difficult to switch to ignition fuel system and make it almost 24/7 autonomous
RC cars and drones work in a similar way. The fastest and long-lasting are always coming with gas engine
Okay, maybe fastest come with hybrid system (electricity for acceleration, and fuel for pushing beyond the limit).
It's not possible on a hardware level. Because we've already reached the maximum energy density of batteries. The only thing you could do is use a diesel generator, but then it makes noise, if you remember, Boston Dynamics already tried that. And it uses electric motors, which are heavy, in general, the robot's frame is basically plastic and aluminum and weighs about 35 kg. Basically, the design is useless on a practical level, it would make much more sense to use a drone in warfare. Things that walk are useless
Are there any capable "forward thinkers" in here?
I don't think these robots need to be that fast since most people don't run quickly and many lead sedentary lifestyles. Besides, I've seen a video recently where the robots can switch between walking and rolling on wheels.
Frankly, can't worry less about robots working as enforcers. There are things far more concerning than working/rolling cans.
Like you usually don't think about it but muscles are non linear actuators with no noise, soft, that self repairs and adapt. Nothing it's as energy dense as muscle while having similar capabilities
As far as linguistics is concerned, more specifically "defining accurately, in written English, what is", without ever changing the character construction of the word, and not just "wordplay" rather "real choice" of 2 definitions instead of 1 definition, allowing for true expansion of ones thought processes. Example. White House abbreviated WH and Automatic Transmission abbreviated AT, combined will ALWAYS result in the character combination "what".
See, no current AI will ever give you that result when you ask it what "what" is....
We already have drones
However, telling a friend "what" can only be... is a different story of limitations.
Drones are basically rf controlled ammunitions
Any other design makes no sense
Good luck trying to send drones down underground tunnels

Drones are "Doctor abbreviated and the digit one pluralized", at least that was the other definitions.
They already do that
The problem are nests
Do the drones know what they are yet?
It's easier to arm a drone with a net-cutting ammunition than to make Chappie
No they are flying toasters full of kaboom stuff
Yes, they're about as conscious as your average TikToker.
This is way more impressive
https://www.youtube.com/@EdanMeyer this channel have very good videos
So, "flying toasters", you mean FL for "Florida", followed by Y for "yes", then the I (the pronoun), of course not forgetting, No Good written as NG, then a space followed by a "t to mark the spot" (or lower case x rotated 45 degrees), the expression "oh!" written as "o", then you have the letter "a" as a participle, followed by street written as ST, and finally (zero political bias here, rather complete characters only) an Eastern Republican group (pluralized), written as the letter ERS? At least that is how I understood the character combination FL+Y+I+NG T+O+A+ST+ERS, maybe I need clarification?
And the funny thing is, NO CURRENT AI will ever give you that definition, no matter how accurately you write it (even 100% accurately, as I did) if you ask it what "flying toasters" is. That is a demonstration of AIs perpetual weakness. Fun!
If the "forward thinking" is "to much" just let me know.
ChatGPT: It's basically someone twisting themselves into a pretzel over nothing, turning a simple phrase into a nonsense alphabet soup.

Yup, and you have to PAY chatGPT to have the privilidge of making chatGPT billions, pay them to train its "full of a perpetual weakness" AI, lame.
@austere gate I only query Gemini, but even that can never give me the answer I am looking for, as described before, however the compilations of the data continues to grow, and the amassing of "better training data" will never end, the screenshots, printouts, and the best part the "customer word of mouth" parties where we all view this material, its just not shared on Facebook or X. The "customer word of mouth" datasets that Google has NO access to, how splendid!
The best advertising ever, simply for accuracy and honesty purposes. Customer word of mouth.
You have to remember that AI is based on statistics. The algorithm analyzes tons of data and makes predictions on what the next word must be based on the previous information. There is nothing sentient about that.
@alpine brook Yes, that seems current, but the "tons of data" is just a drop in the bucket of potential, and its all based on "accurate training data", and if the "original training data" referenced is only data perceived "one way", then written "one way", the "single character construction way" by the programmers and the ones housing the data, it will always be extremely limited, a perpetual weakness. Just like writing a business plan in English, one way. Correct? However, our "perception" of simply what is written, can change, and then perhaps, just perhaps, the "better training data" can be used to...
@alpine brook Also, when the AI is able to correct it errors dynamically and store historical data (such as previous conversations it has had for reference) without a "physical space problem", well, we will see change.
Everthing I mention, Gemini has had no choice but to agree with, then it changes, until we have our next session, then I get bored with the "same responses" generated from its, well, limited programming.
@alpine brook @austere gate The "master key" of sorts is the writing that never changes, as I have outlined in the previous examples, but takes on a separate idea. No matter what language it is in.
Its just "the indisputable proof" of non-change that makes it work.
@alpine brook Just like a statement, "You can never have justice without always putting ICE at the end" has no other meaning, by me the transmitter of the data, other than precisely that, graphically. I can NEVER write J+U+S+T+I+C+E without ever complying with the rule that the letters ICE are always at the end. It can always "be argued" verbally, but never proven in writing, again NO BIAS shown here, no political inferrence, just pure logic of character construction. See?
@alpine brook Though, as you may understand, Gemini is programmed to "immediately know my intent to be politically biased" as it would reply with those intonations, to the "justice" example, as the printouts show, however immediately correcting itself, after my logic and correction to it, finally realizing its biases and complete and total INABILITY to know my intent ever, and then simply agree with me. See?
Examples of more accurate training data sets for future AI versions. Nothing more, nothing less, here.
Muscle memory isn't particularly concise nor sentient by the most means, yet, there it is, fueling at least half of what we're doing on daily basis.
The world of darkness isn't scary. Just let it happen
Well I mean we wouldn't be sentient if we didn't have mechanisms that permit muscle memory
It's synapses strenghtening + the satellite cells that share the nucleus
Frankly, I don't think that high of us. What we call "sentient" is something that is defined by our sentience itself, which makes it entirely unreliable.
It's by design something that can't be comprehended from any side of the barricades. Neither I or you can change our opinion about it once we've made it
Pretty much, like this

Hej 🙌 ** am studying software engineering and i am in 1.semester, should i change to AI? as everybody is telling me that there will be less jobs for software engineering. please help
my brother is a software enginner, he also works with AI.
I'm not sure that if you should choose AI or not
checkout his profile
he also got a protfolio website,
Xer0bit.com
You can do something quite simple. Go to LinkedIn and search for jobs right now; that will give you a good sense of the current job market. I cannot predict the future, but given the trend, it seems that soon almost anyone, regardless of their degree, will be able to create their own software or apps. Traditional degrees may not hold the same value they once did. Additionally, if you pay attention, you will notice many large companies are laying off staff, which raises the question of whether traditional white-collar jobs will still exist within the next ten years.

AI in the current state can't do anything complex and it's trained on mostly public code / slop code / tailored code for scoring high on tests which is inferior compared to private code bases. The only worrying thing here is the CEOs / Whatever people thinking they can replace real programmers with AI and adjusting their hiring process accordingly.
Therefore i would personally keep studying programming (if you like it). Unless AI becomes actually good (human-replacement level), you are fine, but may struggle finding junior level jobs during these years.
But, ultimately, if AI is able to generate whatever you want with no mistakes, that would mean that way more fields would get erased, possibly leading to some kind of UBI scenario. But, i think it's very unlikely.
This bubble might be as big as the moon 😆 🫧
companies realized they don't need that many people as well. They ain't firing the senior devs though (they will be even more valuable in the future)
Thank you so much 🙌
Thank you so much 🙌
Thank you so much 🙌
You're welcome. And one more thing, people will always have a lot to say. Just don't trust anyone blindly, not even me. Do your own research. You've got this.

yes one of the most important skills in todays era is critical and independent thinking
When AI learns to think critically like humans, we're cooked.
Demimilitary & intracorpo AI be like
Overall, critical thinking is also not for everyone. Like, very much. Boiling frog on its finest
I don't want to live in a world like that
Machines:
Anyone know of any good machine learning books/PDFs!?
I can hear the song of this
when creating a data with unique name(in this case position in a company), should i first check whether position with the same name already exist in the database or not? if i should check first, how should i done this? is it by having two queries where the first one is to check the existence, but im thinking about the performance if using two queries
hmm 🤔
I don't get the point here
Performance is for balance. If your app demands edge-level uncompromising performance, then you'd consider "2 queries are too much", but in 99%+ cases you have application with adequate requirements and fallback behavior.
i.e. if someone tries to register an account, you're likely gonna provide them some detailed message explaining why they were not able to do so. For that you'd need two branches of logic.
Beside that, your table in the database itself must contain unique constraint that prevents creating duplicate entries. Otherwise, there'll remain space for race condition in the code(if process A creates account with the same name between select and insert happening in process B)
Approx code example that would represent the scenario for branches
function createAccount(...input): Account|Error {
if (accountExists(input.name)) { // fetch from db
return Error("there already exists account with the same name")
}
// insert into db
...
return newlyCreatedAccount
}
hmmm alr i shall do it, also turns out with golang pgx, the error could produce if its coming from unique violation so i could just like check if the error is unique violation then returns something like "position with this name already exist". so no need to do two queries
You'd be losing abstraction layer in that case, but, I assume, you're a beginner, so that's perfectly fine
guh forgot i cannot send image yet
its like this currently
created, err := s.gradeRepo.Create(ctx, entity)
if err != nil {
// Check for duplicate name (unique constraint violation)
var pgErr *pgconn.PgError
if errors.As(err, &pgErr) {
switch pgErr.Code {
case "23505": // unique_violation
return grade.GradeResponse{}, grade.ErrGradeNameExists
}
}
return grade.GradeResponse{}, fmt.Errorf("failed to create grade: %w", err)
}
true but ill still use the solution i found
Hi, I am new here. I want to know what I should learn and how I can get my first internship or job in the IT sector?
Start by figuring out what actually grabs your interest. Could be web development, AI, cyber security, or something totally different. Check out some YouTube videos, do a bit of research, and look at job listings to get a proper feel for it.

The current government will deport you on graduation. Check out euro/can/aus/asia jobs. Much better option for a future.

Techbro: If you want to be a real techbro, you need to invest in Nvidia, or you're just a pleb. This is not financial advice btw but trust me bro.

Ponzi scheme. I own Nvidia. You buy shares and the money goes to me to make my shares go up.
Pyramid Scheme. Now that you own shares, the people after you will pay for your shares to go up.

Hello, everyone! I’m DevOps Engineer, I speak Portuguese. But I want to improve my English skills, if someone wants sometimes we can talk about DevOps and Cloud Concepts.

Hi, I'm new here . I'm studying computer science . I want to know how to start applying for jobs online.
is angular hard to learn if you know until jquery and work with c#/.net??
linkedin may help as an online CV, and interviews grind, cuz you only get better with interviews and their tricks with interviews experience. Binaries trees and recursive queries to solve hierarchy problems are recurrent questions to solve.
is data engineering hard to learn the concepts and tools?
If you were stuck in a desert and had no libraries, then maybe understanding how to code a binary tree for search or sort may be needed, but still very unlikely. Tell this to the person wishing to employee you. All them what sorts of furniture formulae do they use, and say interesting, then ask to code one of those rather than some old cs question from 60 years ago

Hello, Everyone! How are we doing? I'm looking for good courses or videos on Java backend development. I'm transitioning from C# to Java and want to get a better understanding of the syntax. Any suggestions?
Hey guys, I'm new here. Its been a few days since i started programming and I'm trying to develop my english skills. If anyone happens to be interested to talk, my DM’s are open. Thank you !
We are doing well. How are we doing?

Why so many java people here
Because it's decent and straightforward? I mean, there are probably even more python lovers.
Java is straightforward!?
Yes? It's usually taught first in schools/uni
Either that or Python, though I've heard C++ is taught first as well some places
Yeah, many universities go for c++, which is a horrible choice for any beginner. Some go for delphi or pascal, which are off, but okayish for beginners.
Often they just pick languages based on teachers they have : D
Mine did Java and C at the same time
I think those professors are like dinosaurs, stuck in their old ways, which is why they still pick languages like C or C++ to teach total beginners. No wonder most students end up hating programming. It makes far more sense to start with something easier like Python.

It's not
It's not as beginner-friendly as Python. Its syntax is more rigid and verbose, so it takes longer to write simple programs.

Piece of junk, microsoft updates
I try and use the latest, but still not good enough
After many weeks of doomscrolling, Ive finally read all my open tabs, and am back to coding this evening, oh well trying. discovering more tables for my DB, but getting more depressed trying to do the coding and seeing all the work. Each table generates a days programming (based on the old me when I knew what I had to do). I'm enjoying the DB work, but will have a 'Ben Hur' epic program to write. Sure I can use AI, and probably will be but even that is not very fast, as its so stupid. Even to someone who kows nothing.
Back where I'm from professors are direly underpaid, hence, I can't imagine someone, who is capable both in teaching and programming at the same time, teaching something decent.
So, dinosaurs is all "we" can afford to hire 🙂

Is it possible to become a programmer and a developer by learning through online courses?
is that needed to learn any etl tools, and something like Hadoop, pyspark. Because I have no idea searching for a job as a data engineer.
Yes you can learn and develop your skills. Online courses like Udemy can take you to the basics of any tools or PL language.

As long as there are words to read, sure. I started by reading. Never stopped, until now when I just let ai make my brain turn to jelly.
Hi guyss
Quick question: If you're building a blog site, would you prefer coding from scratch and using a subscription to an existing CMS, or just opting for WordPress?
If it's a personal or small-scale project, I'd go with WordPress because it's fast to set up, flexible, and you can customise it quite a bit.

Thanks. Just that it's for my brother and compared to coding from scratch WordPress is a little above his budget
And I've never actually used WordPress for anything so I am not only worried about the cost, but I have zero experience
i am trying to set up wordpress just now. and it has been so many cases to figure out. i guess the ghost was easier. i am strugling with iis and url rewrite things
Had the same issue when I tried it once.
I am just really sick of the hidden charges. You cannot specifically point to an amount
If there nothing fancy nor beyond simple blogging, it might be even better to stick with something that builds you html pages from markdown or some other format.
Like hugo or jekyll. It's certainly cheaper and faster, since one needs only webserver to serve static data. Still, it's not a recommendation.
There is a good reason why wordpress is absolutely dominating.
Which is also a main reason why PHP is the second most popular language in web.

this is more an art thing

hey guys, which sector of development you think that is the best choice to get in now?
DE jobs are mostly mid-senior level right now, you will need YOE as a programmer or data analyst. Hadoop/databricks require YOE in most jobs offers, and ETL/orchestrators tools too. If you dont have exp with these tools, look for data analyst or developer jobs to grind exp and then move to other roles

Hello all
PeoOS just got called out as a PeoAI again.
Damn game changing
hey guys someone wants to have a call to talk about programming because i'm trying to learn python and to learn english.
and what do you think about web development, more specifically on full-stack?
It's good, but no matter what you choose, first do a thorough analysis of the current job market in that field in your country. Go to LinkedIn and search for jobs to see what skills are in demand.
Now, you may ask why I'm telling you to focus on the job market. Shouldn't you pay more attention to what you're passionate about? Yes and no. If your main priority is to get employed, then focus more on the job market. However, if you can find a job in a field you're passionate about, that's a match made in Google Cloud.

Browser based front ends are the way of now. But the front end is just a pretty picture. 'Full stack' is the modern term for what we called programmer in the olden days. Its all about input -> processing -> <output, storage>.
I am looking for a software engineer who have proficient english skill. dm me if you are interested. ( 🇮🇷 or 🇦🇱 developers are prefer)
This is Exactly what happened
It's just way too late. We can't stop it, and the techbros are in charge now.

Ok, i did that before once but i will see this again, thank you!
yes yes, im a little confused about which sector to get focus now but i will do what you said
what sector do you work in?
Hmmmm, and there is big difference for web and software developments? maybe not in
The Web is software
And data
Pretty data
So can i work simultaneously on this?
Web dev is a subset of software dev, and software dev isn't limited to the web.
Web dev: web apps, front-end (html, css, javascript) and back-end (databases, servers, apis), etc.
Software dev: soft 🥀 apps...jk lol... apps for pcs, mobile devices, or embedded systems, etc.
hahahaha okay i got it
maybe a can do soft apps
Oh yes, i used to know a little of python but my high school doesn't let me learn others things because of the time
Hey hi everyone

Hi,
We need FullStack devs, anyone interested, dm me.
I want to learn
These days, anyone can become a techbro without setting foot in school, but only a few actually make it. So, stay in school unless you are sitting on a massive inheritance (with piles of gold bars 🪙, stacks of money 💰, and more property 🏘️ than you can count).

What was the name of the anonymous email site you mentioned a few weeks ago.
oh and hi

Sure
Of course. I wanna go to the collage to maybe get more opportunities and studying a lot on the outside and creating projects to create a good resume
THanks
You can do this. I wish you all the best, but you've got to be quick so you get there before the techbros declare AGI and UBI.
You're welcome. Please don't forget to save me from them when the time comes.

Thank you! I will get there fast that i can, maybe until then i can be a prompt engineer
🖐️ hii everyone
hi guys. thanks for the suggestion
If you want to start messing around with this, try studying the documentation for the language you're interested in.
You're welcome. Btw pls don't smoke. It kills and it takes developers out even faster.

Bitch what the fuck is this why am I even in this degree
Can't set up foking raylib in vs code
I wanna make a game in c++ and can't even get the gui library to work
Fuck this
It's been three hours
And what language do you recommend? I think that i'm interested on php later or maybe dart

shut up i finally managed to set it up
I know lol, i can't even stand the semll of smoke
Hey btw techbros are peoples from the high-ranking positions in companies?
You don't use Unreal engine?
are there any game engines that support code in C++
i am only allowed to use C++ for the game
I recommend python for begin, because it's and easy language for begin, and have a lot of opportunities from ia, mcp, until data analytics
In Unreal Engine you can code C++ or blueprints
Hmmmm, if you are only allowed to code in pure C++ i don't know
is it gonna be at least 70% C++ in unreal engine
You can combine C++ and blueprints there
And i think that is easier than create a game from scratch
I know how to code, i think that i remember lol, i started coding games since 2019 and in 2023 i got focus on html, css, javascript with a web course
In this case I recommend, TypeScript, javascript, and php or python
Typescript it's like a different version for javascript yes?
It's based but with some differences, i used once
In a way yes, TypeScript is indeed a superset of JavaScript, which means it includes all of JavaScript's features and adds new ones
I got it, it's possible i may have used a lot and forgot. I'll continue my web course because it covers this and other things and frameworks.
Thank you
Hey, i have another question, what is your job like as programmers? What do you do in it?
guys, who can help me in understanding CS50 problem "runoff"? In voice chat
A techbro is a self-satisfied tech lad who thinks his half-baked app ideas are world-changing genius.
And they don't have to hold high-ranking positions, they could be someone so entitled about setting up basic projects that they expect everything to work straight out of the box, and if it doesn't, they start complaining.

oh yes lmao
Maybe like game dev beginners wanting to create GTA 6 before Rockstar
Trends point to FullStack with AI, but I find it overpriced and highly competitive. I think it's better to specialize in Data Engineering or DevOps
There is also ogre3d, but I know about it from the fact that I've played Kenshi : )
php and dart are entirely different languages. Not to mention, nowadays I hear about Dart mostly from Flutter ecosystem. Which is a frontend ecosystem by all means.
PHP on other hand is entirely in backend and primarily works for web. There is almost no reason to use php for anything but web backend.
I'm not sure whether to call it a utopia or a dystopia, but techbros and the companies they run will replace human workers the moment AI lets them scrape an extra 0.1 percent of value at 0.1 percent less cost.

But for now, we have not arrived to this level, someone day probably yes, for now the risk is for the junior developers
Assuming middle+ developers will be born without passing junior phase : )
I hope I'm wrong, but I think eventually all levels will get wiped out and there will be no jobs left, especially in the coding sector. AI agents won't just build those end to end systems, they'll also keep them running.

But for now it's better to prepared for that day, learn new skills that the Ai finds difficult , and save money and make investments (etf) for the future
There's a solution video for it
Brian yu himself explained it
It's there on the same page as the problem set webpage

We could have free healthcare but instead we have this...
Thanks for watching :)
my ig: https://instagram.com/itsraylikesunshine
I'll let someone else argue for me. Perhaps an AI will do it for me one day.
To develop AI or using AI for others things? I'll see these 2 options
I never seen this lol. But this can be good to create games with C++ pure
You're right, but if i want to become FullStack don't i need it?
Or others like php

Many people said that the coding sector will be one of the lasts sectors to AI dominate it and take jobs
But if likes you said, AI, in some years will have completely autonomy to create full ecosystems and mantain then...
The other option for me maybe can be selling art in the beachs

What do you need it for?
Maybe you should learn how to use python in general first and then move to your specific task?
Where have you downloaded that ? Global of venv? If venv then enable it first then run. If global, either download in venv and run or come outta venv and run.
I don't think "fullstack" nowadays means 1 backend plus 1 frontend languge. But, honestly, you have to consider the job market you're realistically aiming at. If all good opporunities come from PHP, well, there you go. Otherwise, php is not a good language to learn or plan your career in 2025. I've been working with it since php 5.4 up to 8.3 and unless you're in love with it for some reason, I don't see why I'd pick it over, say, golang which beats it in almost every aspect.
p.s.
I'd 100% pick it over python though. That language is still stuck in php 5.6 era, but it's jack of all trades, hence, it's okay for everything. On same level as javascript, I'd say.
People have bias towards soothing themselves. In the end, when in the age of gold rush it's not prospectors who win nor earn the most. It's those who sell them pickaxes and shovels.
hey. are there any web developers with extensive experience whom I can ask a question?
I'm just starting out too, but I want to focus more on Java.

And in English too
Which is the best programming language to create a deadliest malware?
What is a deadliest malware?
Malware like stuxnet?
Thank you, i would try, my english is a little basic

All the malware are not created with bash?
What about rust and go?
Bash malwares can be detected easily.
What about C or C++, i think that for a malware is better a low level language no?
C is shit for creating malwares.
C++ is better
That's what um talkin about.

Dude, Python is shit for creating creating malwares. Go for C++, Go or Rust.
I see, though am just starting out in the cybersecurity space so Python is the first thing am learning
bro's creating viruses
Cool, Python is good for automating stuff and for the back-end.
Go is better as backend language
I know, But he's learning python tho and python is good for basic stuff.
Well, I know go better but not too much expert in rust um deeply diving into it.
After finishing it I wanna combine C++, C#, Go and Rust to create to deadliest one.
Nice its a good combination cz will working with rust you will need to run some c external baneries good luck
:))(((
Anyone knows, Is dread is back or still under outage?

hi
I'm thinking of regressing and using VB for my app. However its bugging me a bit that there is already a lot i've put into the C++ start up code. Baahhh. I will see how it goes over the next few hours. If the C++ can progress a bit I will persevere.
Anyone know of an easy drag and drop forms designer that works with c++, and runs on win and linux?
anyone knows hacking?
anyone here Give KT on .net stack
I always thought there is nothing but QT out there.
hi bro
anyone know what is the best AI for story writing?
idk
I've tried writing short stories with AI for fun before, but almost all of them have that AI feel. You really have to write a detailed prompt for what you want in your story. I use both ChatGPT and Claude for writing, and they're good enough.
alright, appreciated
You really need to know that there are aws in your location for work. If all the companies use Ms, then you don't benefit. A broad understanding should be sought to get into your first job. Once you are there, you know what they use. Then work on certifications in the products used within your business. Always try and get the company to pay for certifications as part of your on going training. It helps if you can use it immediately, but if you are not using it at the time of certification, then it is a waste of your time, you will forget it, you may never use it, and it will cost you your own money. As you move from job to job, get the company(s) to pay for these courses. You can then have it on resume, and someone may think that's nice, but not really essential, unless you manage to find a perfect job ad asking for it. Experience is key.
Bloody win 11. Wouldn't install its update until it forced me to clear my disk to give it space. I had 7gb got it to 20gb and it gobbled up 11gb. Thats on top of that win10 already used.
@pure copper should i have a linkedin profile?
its out of topic question but its related some how
Everyone seems to use them these days. And companies use them to see your history when shortlisting for jobs. I personally don't use mine, (and the one I do have is not my real name - got it long ago, and its basic info). I value my privacy and seek to minimize data identity theft. You should consider that at a long term strategy in your life, although its becoming harder to achieve as digitalization continues pushing people into online identity and assets.

ty so much thats a good advice ty

DIAZ CODING PROJECT LOG #001
Alright,
The first step in simplifying a Boolean function is to generate it's minterms. Although I could have just prompted the user for the minterms directly, but I wanted this project to be a challenge and a learning opportunity for me. So I have decided to input a raw Boolean function from the user, and then tokenize it, evaluate it, and accordingly generate it's minterms.
Here's what I did today to achieve this:
- First I had to parse the input boolean expression and convert it into tokens so to make it ready for the infix-to-postfix conversion.
- Secondly I implemented the shunting yard algorithm which converts arithmetic and logic into computer-friendly form.
- Then I evaluated the input function against all eight possible binary combinations using a stack evaluator, and the combinations that yielded 1s were confirmed to be the minterms of the function.
Using this technique I managed to get the minterms of any Boolean function in any form, whether simplified or unsimplified.
So far, so good.
i'm doing py, anybody suggest the beginner level projects ?
Someone who programs in Shopify?
I'd be happy just to know the parameter to enable and disable a field on the screen.

I don't understand what you meann
When a text field is enabled you can type in it. When disabled you cannot type in it. I dont know how to do this with my new language. Probably 50 lines of code. Used to just say txtFierld.enaabled = true. But now, who knows...

and also 3D 4 x 4 x 4 tictac toe
for a challenge
You could even rotate it to see the layers. Use rotation on three axes
My professor asked me to build up my own Single Layered Neural Network, and I still have no clue of what to do lmao. Eventually I should use the Python packages with Tensorflow and PyTorch but other than that, not a single clue…
If anyone did something related, could give me some tips on it
Woow,Sounds cool!
I'll definitely try that!
Thanks for suggesting 😸
whats the best free ai video making app
If you really want to extend it (once you get the game running on your computer), try and use sockets or something to link 2 computers (players) together, and display the game on 2 machines
Nice suggestion, I like it!
Mutlipayer is the best, let's hope I can do that with less error's! 😆
Bro there is a platform called "Codedex" It's a good one with a gamified version!
I'm sure u gonna like it
um not what I meant
the reason I want to use github is collaboration and stuffs
I got struggle with using cmd to update or something similar to that
install WSL and try bash...
i thinking, using usually Windows for cmd is strange
Long see no time. How are you doing?
I'm sure you're still committed to @jagged prawn, but I'm really sorry to tell you that she has recently eloped with someone richer, wiser and more handsome.

Hey John, Interesting to see you again
No worries at all. If she's happy, that's what matters.
Hey @leaden sleet , do you know where Peo is?
maybe in the bed?
😭😭😭
She's woman from 1990s, AUNTY
😭 she can be ur grandmother
Apparently, you should start from learning what's git and only then move towards what github has to do with git.
It's alright. Please don't be sad.

This video describes git.

How hard is it to automate scraping? I have a task to scrape details about various AI tools.
anyone good at laravel framework? I'm stuck with middleware thingy (it ain't working)

I need some help. I want to divide or plan how will I make a web crawler system. Like I've been given a task to scrape/crawl the web and get all the details of AI tools or models and add in a database. So in my mind, only 2 things came, 1. Database schema(what fields would I require, this basically defines what I will be scraping too) 2. Pipeline that scrapes the data (now here I don't know if I need to design own scrapper/crawler or I should go for crawl4AI type of things).
8 weeks enough to give?
I'm looking for a friend who can collaborate each other. Feel free to DM me.
helloo, can somebody help me upload a project to github?
what problem do you have?
i have a folder of my project and i want to upload it to another folder in github
And what's the problem?
you have to add that folder to the repo
and then make a commit and a push
So true
Hello developers
thx for your help !! i did this and eventually it worked out
i dont understand the branch thing yet but i guess i'll figure it out eventually

When you attend your interview for a job its important to dress appropriately. No daggy jeans is essential
boring.
Code java
thats exacty im doing rn,
i am learning it again in Hyperskill.org
thank you for suggestion
so relatable
hello i am new in python very new ok ,but i got a problem that i don't know how can i start learn python i want your advice guys ....................
your profisional more than me you have expirence so share this expirence with me like give me best chanel or best server and i got some isuu in discored im new in discord i don't now how to ues discord right so this is my story lides and glement and let me hear your advice................................................................................................
you can learn from this channel #💻|programming .
here is a lot of python dev include me.
Does anyone here learn pytorch?
and in general machine learning and data science
it doesnt need to be specifically pytorch
but if it is it would be great
In this video, you will be learning Python with these 5 projects, starting at the very beginner level and slowly working our way up to something more advanced. For those who are complete beginners, I'm going to explaining everything as if you've never used Python before and even show you how to install the program and set up you editor. We will ...
You don't need to overthink or overcomplicate this. Start with this basic tutorial and the next steps will become clear as you go. Don't waste any time, you can begin with this video immediately.

Thank you very much but what is your current level in programming are you advance.....?
And what is the best way to improvement very faster....... Make a lot of project or I don't know
And I'm sorry I ask a lot of question but just this time last question what is the best web or app should I start with to apply the cood as a beginner
Sorry lot of question but you beginner ask lot of question

If there is a server in descord can help me to learn fast tell me guys OK
nowadays the only obstacles to learn programming is the lack of time or the lack of focus
gutys, is webex meeting safe?
irdk why they r using weird ahh meeting apps for s frikin webinar
i d rather skip the webinar than installing a potential risk
So, what do you folks think about micro PRs and squash merges?
I found this article (only in Portuguese, sorry): (https://www.tabnews.com.br/ChristoPy/como-minha-equipe-faz-100-deploys-pra-producao-numa-sexta-feira)
The team claims they did 100 deploys in one day — on a Friday.
Thoughts? Is this peak DevOps or peak chaos?
Squash merges and rebases are perfectly valid. Micro PRs? Dahell is dat? If there is a point in creating one-line merge request, then it's perfectly fine. If the team creates one-liners for no good reason at all, then what's the point?
100 deployments in a day. On Friday.
Sounds like an ass disaster. I'd rather do drugs
It's a wonderful story. Your English is progressing well. Enjoy the channel and the stories here.
hey guys i am a software engineer and i need to improve my my English speaking and writing skills so may any help me 🙏🏻
And AI.
what is your issue
Since I have no coding experience, I would like someone to volunteer to make an APK for me using GitHUB.
I'll give you the codes from ChatGPT; all you need to do is frame it and prepare it for installation. It will be a straightforward app. I'll use it as an app addon
Can u please help me make it happen?
sorry i do not do android
I see, do you know someone who can do that for an android?
Okay, all good. 😄
Thanks for your time
Is there anyone else who can help me with it? It's a great request. I don't understand a single thing and I'm clueless what to do with the Chat GPT codes. Just want someone to frame the app. It won't take that long I reckon
Can someone please?
Is ChatGPT not helpful in explaining how to bundle your app?
I'm clueless
it won't take long I reckon
?
I tried my best, but after a few prompts, it reaches it's limit and never let's me complete. It partially loses its memory 💀😭
It can't create an .apk for you. It can explain how this can be done by you.
I don't understand a thing. 0 knowledge of programming and stuff yk
And I believe it won't take too long for it to be framed
I'll provide the codes from chat gpt
I'm never gonna understand a thing
it won't take too long
Why are you so sure about that?
It's kinda like telling a 4 y/o to fly an airplane with just some instructions 💀
Then ask it to use less technical terms or something.
Coz the app has a very simple function, also, a very few codes. The thing is, I could have done it, but I'm hella confused
Bundling complexity does not depend on the size of the application.
If it starts doing that, it's gonna get me confused even more to follow the instructions
I see
Thought it would take like an hour or so~ 💀
My bad
It depends on the language you told ChatGPT to use, dependencies, etc.
Language? Like Java and stuff?
Maybe 5 minutes, maybe 5 hours. Who knows. You haven't given any useful information about the project.
Yes.
Oh! Okay 😂
My bad. So the thing is, I wanna make a third party app for a game called Infinite Flight, which helps me with the captain announcement and other cabin voices with an floating icon. Like I hit a specific button, and it starts playing a desired announcement audio. Something like this:
Hope i was able to explain properly
💀
I think it's called Kotlin
Is it going to interact with the game? (I.e. can you run it outside the game?)
Like is it a shortcut for some existing game functionality or just an overlay which is not really linked to the game?
It's gonna be something like a floating menu
Like some of the third party screen recorders
An overlay which is not linked with the game
Just an additional menu for another game's audio
Are you on Windows/Linux? Using Android Studio is probably the easiest way (I am not an android developer though) to get .apk's.
What are you confused about?
Nope, currently looking for an android app
Chat GPT's instructions and my actions don't really match up
You are on Android and want to create another Android app?..
Oh, well.. That's interesting.
👀
I mean, it should work 😭
Maybe try doing it with GitHUB?
You should be able to install all needed tools in termux/new-experimental-linux-terminal-on-recent-androids and build there.. But I don't think you want to do that.
I don't understand a thing
🥀
Ik it's not that difficult to understand, but the thing is, I'm too dumb for this
💀💀💀
https://github.com/marketplace/actions/build-and-release-apk
I guess that's also possible but it's even more complex.
It's flying over my head 💀
To "convert" your code from Kotlin to .apk, you need several development tools. I don't think anyone releases them for android as nobody develops on android.
But that thingy told me I can easily get the apk downloaded
Idk how
I just want someone to volunteer
I don't think anyone will. From the way you explained it, you don't even have working application, and you already want to distribute it. That's not how things work in programming.
You must have android studio.
You must be able to launch your project in emulator under that android studio.
Only then you can talk about building it into apk
p.s.
Gagged from apps for airplanes being developed in random discord channel. I could imagine Boeing doing something like that xD

Truly it is a great request, especially from someone with no coding experience.
Indeed, but no one cares tbh 😭
There have been two people here who have cared. But its a huge task to develop a program, especially with no specificiation. But if its just a nice picture of a cockpit with some buttons on it that you can click on to make 6 or so messages play, then Thats a valid beginner program. But then calling it third party takes it to a different level again, and far from reality for some strange reason. My daughter was able to build such an app with some help, using VB when she was 7ish. Click on hot spots on the screen and do some actions like display messages etc. I think AI could help you achieve this by using multiple sessions. Just start with the screen displaying the cockpit, then use another session to tell you how to get some buttons, then another to link the clicks to a player that plays the messages. As mentioned before you will need to develop this in Android studio, and develop the screen and test it on the emulator that is built in. Once it appear to be working there, compile it to an .apk and download it on your phone, or device.
Webex is safe. Its developed by Cisco and is used by big business in conjunction with Cisco phone systems and other communications. It was around longer that Zoom or Teams (in my experience of the progression of these systems).
thank you <3
no prob
if u were to, would u do abap + basis or abap + hana

Sorry, I dont use SAP, though have interacted with it on a few occasions
Arub, is that you. omg it is!
Sorry Arup was my first company
But HANA for any new stuff for sure
Because from what you say, it's almost obvious that (a) you don't know if your (ChatGPT's) app even works, (b) you don't understand that having a working Kotlin program does not mean having a bundleable program and (c) you don't want to learn anything.
Maybe, if I had android studio installed, I would help if not (a) and (b), but then what if you want to fix something? What if you want to add something new? What if these changes don't work as expected and you want to modify them? Are you going to ask me to do all compilation, bundling, etc. for you over and over again?
(And it will not work as expected because it's ChatGPT)
Hello everyone i need some help
Is there anyone here who knows how to program with MATLAB?
I feel like commenting is way more complex than actually coding the problem ;-;
Always has been : )
This ain't no joke... its really bad, and it must be STOPPED.

Im interested in learning programming terms in english, you guys have maybe a tip for me? like videos on youtube that teach that, especific servers for that, books, and stuff like that
sorry for my english, im not pretty good
Try word up app.
You will find an entire dictionary for each epicallzatiin, such medicines, engineering, business, IT, and programming of course.
Each dictionary contains 3000 words as average.

hi, i joined english speaking tech company and want to improve my english so i can get promoted and communicate good in meetings. anyone use any tools or how do you think i should get better? so far i only found talkcrisp.com
before making an app in Android, the best thing is to make a proof of concept with simple HTML and Javascript
There are bunch of VC channels in this server. You can try some of them, and see how it works for you.

ah i see
yeahh wassup
LOL
So I was at work today, and a SAP error popped up on my screen. Coincidence or what? I didn't even know my current business was using it in any way...
Nice that its an error, ofc
oww hahaha
crazyy
wait wdy work as if udm me asking?
LeetCode is really good to improve programming skills?
I think so. But from my understanding, it's better to actually create project rather than grind on LeetCode.
That's what that dude says.
you can do both
leetcode is for problem solving
it's not like you are going to grind a project for 16 hours a day
this guy unironically makes the dumbest most useless videos I've ever seen in my life
at least colin (the competitive programmer) teach you stuff
it's like there's unironically a guide on leetcode wich is like 15 years old that already list the basics you should learn... And nah nobody says to you that you have to master the techniques before starting to problem solve
(i did summer school for competitive programming at 14, 9 years ago and they literally taught me that shit + math)
I see
guys does any of u knows like discord servers realting to programing with active voice channels, where programers actually talk, chill, maybe even write something together
i know places in which they flame you for being a noob
that's basically the average interaction in programming ds
well is there a place where somewhat decent activity happends?
none
gatekeep happens for a reason
they don't want dumb people to be dumb
they want dumb people to learn surpass the gatekeeping processes and flame other noobs
and the cycle repeat
it's like the viltrum empire but for autistic people
if you want active community go into hackton stuff
or other competitions communities
like the informatics olympiad or cybersecurity olympiads have a lot of active users
programmers / engineers are usually busy to learn things , might not really spend time hanging out / chatting that often , do not misunderstand it , that does not mean they never (or hate to) do this , it is just rare .
what kind of decent activities do you specifically mean ? (free or paid) technical session / career talk / or anything else ? and again this might also be rare .
I mean rather discussing things, maybe even doing projects together out of personal interest, I really don’t know much about programming comunities, it’s just I was curious if there is smth interesting
hey
partecipate foss project
Huh?
Thats the fun part. Once one has a big idea in mind its addictive and programming learning follows as a consequence. Innovating, planning and creating one's own code is much more satisfying than struggling with random micro problems that have no link to each other or to any eventual finished product.
the micro problems are comically difficult and solving them makes you hallucinating satan
so it's not boring
like "exercises" are boring, problem solving in general it's like trying to brute force thinking until you can think something you weren't even able to conceive 2 hours ago
