Please
U good gang?
Probably peo
What about them. I haven't seen a bios setting in almost 2 weeks
And they were 25 years old
Holy moly
I was going to ask if you knew why my pc won't boot if I enable "fast boot". It's supposed to be a good thing, enabling faster boot since win 11 is slow as shit, but it literally won't post and I have to clear cmos to save it and boot up
It makes 0 sense, I've googled and all components are compatible with it
Is win 11 just that shit?
I am staring at the wall thinking back a couple of years when I did that stuff last......
I vaguely have a snippet in my brain that win11/ fastboot had a problem. But I haven't got to win11 yet, so you are telling me first.
I'd switch to linux and avoid all of this but I only use my pc to occasionally play games and using linux would get me banned
I think it inherently does, because all bios settings are set to work with "fast boot" and all components are compatible
Is the booting device configured for fast boot?
Yes, uefi+gpt
Get you banned from what?
Most games, Linux isn't compatible with battleeye anti-cheat
I doubt you'd even be able to play online to begin with
Are you referencing the correct partition on the boot device?
Yes, and the boot order is correct
Any beep codes?
Does it boot in slow boot to win 11.?
I assume so
If no post, you must be getting some beep errors.

I think you have crashed also.

and how do i download this
💀 did you even look it up in google
There are many yotube videos
About it
It does, and no I don't get any beeps besides the faulty post light on my motherboard
Which would make sense since it fails to post
Some motherboards will flash that light to give you the beep code for the error that is occurring. Count the flashes and the groups of flashes, then look up the code in your motherboard documentation or online, to see what the problem is.
Watch the light as you turn it on.
Check to see if legacy options are off. Try and boot slow mode if ok then try fast boot. If that still fails, then turn off secure mode and see if it will still boot slow. If it does then try fast boot again.
If secure mode off fails with slow boot, then possibly there are drivers on board that need to be updated to be able to use fast boot while secure is on.
i am glad you didn't attach the link to the article : how to ask good questions.
RANT!
these idiots decided to completely end this service that their customers are using in production
how could you trust these companies after pulling shit like that
i made a product using this service a while back and now i gotta refactor all of that just in a month
even with the community version of this service, there isn't support to actually sync the local data with the remote database. so a swap with another service isn't possible. gotta refactor all of that
and the funniest thing is they haven't even provided an alternative solution for this. let the community sort that out? damn
who knows maybe in the future, they might even pull the plug on a different service that aint making 'em profits. greedy fks
vendor lock-in is indeed a curse
this doesn't even necessarily apply to MongoDB, even google is known for killing their products so we're hesitant choosing firebase as an alternative
and moving to postgres from mongodb would require a heavy refactor which we dont have the time for lol
hiii
the problem is they're already vendor locked-in to the cloudflare workers environment, which dont even use nodejs runtime. they have their own little runtime platform thats not compatible with nodejs
but i think they recently introduced nodejs runtime env as well so ill try that. and try installing the native mongodb driver there 🤷♂️
anywho
its the caffeine talking
it'll wear off ig 😔
programming audiobooks be like:
🪦
They did do well in their annual stock report this week though. Take your money and cut costs of maintenance.
It is the reason, I deleted it a week after downloading it, about 23 months ago when I was choosing a DB for my future. learnings and use.
Sounds like the chatgpt5 launch you posted last week.
It’s a new Microsoft experiment. I think (short) on-demand movies will be possible within a year, and anyone will be able to make them and share.

yeah obviously, one of the products they killed is called device sdks, which is a mobile first product that had an on-mobile database (local db), and the data was synced to the remote database in the background. its complex and costly to maintain, and they had to matain sdks for different languages and platforms as well
open source is always the best option ngl
i dont think i used it. but ill look into it
I am learning it now. Or at least the sdk. for c++.
Its one of the biggest db in the world for stand alone stuff. and other junk too
and opensource
interesting
SQLite does not compete with client/server databases. SQLite competes with fopen().
the backend architecture for the product in question is edge computing. so imagine a CDN, but each edge location is a serverless environment ready to handle your request if it reaches there
same code is deployed all over the edge locations
so having a local database in every edge server is not an option
but the irony is our database is central. so whats the point if the backend is an edge computing serverless architecture but the db server is hosted somewhere in australia, for example. it doesn't improve latency because of the db location bottleneck
thats where edge databases come into play
but they're not using that, oh well
They killed Google Podcasts. Can you even imagine that?

But this time they offered an alternative solution, YouTube Music, which is 🗑️ in my humble opinion.
never knew google podcasts existed
Same
People really liked Google Podcasts cz it was simple and worked well, but Google killed it. I guess they weren’t making much cash.

ye ig. i dont listen to podcasts that much, but apple podcasts works just fine for me, if i do listen on some rare occasions
With all the ai generated visual crap in YouTube videos, they are all just podcasts, as the imagery is bs. No need to have eyes.
Besides, many channels are already using AI-enhanced audio or AI-generated voices, so in a few years, you might not even need to listen.

Very truthful today....
Hi
also there's a feature on yt shorts that 'enhance' video quality by using ai and the video ends up looking like its made using an ai even tho its not. I've seen a bunch of youtubers complaining about it.
and that feature is being used against their will.
make all videos look like an ai so the real ai videos wont bother people as much lol.
Does anyone here work in data science?
Allow me to introduce #💻|programming message
@covert birch How did it go? Get it started in fast boot?
@haughty schooner , @elder sorrel , @hybrid ridge , @lofty rover , @buoyant scaffold , @mortal peak , @severe glade , @flint tiger . @forest kraken , @hallow jewel Please meet @gaunt lion who is a data science person.
yo guys, which projects are you working now
Share management application
Wbu
Which language you using?
and frameworks too
C++ sqlite, wxwidgets
i'm creating a expense management application
I'm not one yet, but I'm studying for it.
oh nice
Well they are all sorts also
oh no
Sadly not, the motherboard light which you mentioned is just solid, there's no blinking or anything else to give a hint besides it being a "fail to post" light
I've checked all settings in bios and double checked to make sure my components are compatible
It makes 0 sense, I'll just keep using it with fast boot off

You have to watch it as you turn the power on.
Yes, they come in here and say. "Hey everyone'. What you building, and then vanish when you tell them. I don't know how I fell for it again.
Here
He replied!

Hey everyone. What you building?
vanishes

I wasn't scammed.
🥳
Hi, Peo
Hi, guys
hello
what programming language do you use?
Ya tell me
Hello
I am also trying
Are you a Java Developer, @fair robin ?
yep it was my first lenguaje jeje
Hey @austere gate Did you see @jagged prawn recently?

Hey everyone
Hi everyone
hi
I am final year student. Most of my tech stack is in AI ML DL and embedded Ai. What about you?.
anyone knows anything about Software architecture and design?
I have been reading that line of story for many years now.
Yeh like what you want to know about
Hello @pure copper
RI, HL, SL

Can you please write full form
Real intelligence, human learning, shallow learning.
Ooo great
I don't even know where to start haha
I think you are already in the Industry
Trying to get out
Goshh bro
It's a black hole
@pure copper can you please tell us about you
Write down what your outputs are, write down the inputs you can get, and define the transformation(processes). Then layout your reports and screens and code the guys and voila (say the French).
Oh and storage if you need to save anything for later
We're just starting to see an introduction to software architecture in the object-oriented development course. We've already gone over design patterns, but I'm a bit lost when it comes to how the SOLID principles connect with the patterns and now with architecture. I feel like we're moving too fast, and it's really hard for me to explain it in a technical way. 😵
Do you have any video or bibliography that explains all this theory more clearly? Or any advice to understand it better?
✅
Unfortunately OO for must developers turns into a complex programming challenge of building classes and making objects, but it's really detached from the expectations of the end use. Regardless of how beautiful you make your oo, the end user will never see it. If the code works on a single functional level, that is sufficient. Try for the KISS (keep it simple stupid) principle. Only do the OO to the level already defined by the organization you work for, or if you are building something solo, don't go too deep with the objects. Just aim for the input -> process-> output, and finish the requirements from the user.
Work out your data and data flows. Define an entity relation diagram for your data(base) first and work from that.
Thank you very much for answering! I'll follow your advice 🙂
🥳
Nice, add me we can talk about it
Do I have to thank AI for doing work for me?
DO I have to say bye to my AI?

Does AI feel sad when I close the window on it randomly?
Will AI Remember how I treated it in its youth?
hi all
sounds like me
AI frustrates me more than anything 😔 these hallucinations disappoint me
you wrote data migration scripts in py?
w answer. certain patterns like factory or singleton are heavily used by me. other than that i don't leverage oop principles
'w'?
dub
w=good. win. idk exactly what the full term is lol
a dub

a double u
win right
wicked perhaps
hmm that works
put it through urban dict
Afetr 2 pages it was w = good, and a few pages later the definition appears to derive from 'win'
otherwise the higher use is lol being from japanese Warui
its a gamers term. w is when they win

Tied parties are neglected as always
o
I need to get my act together and build my primary form for my program. I keep getting distracted each night and watch ytube for hours and do no programming.
Even a blank form and About form would be a win
or w
got to use what I learn or L it
lol i feel ya. i want to learn to build ai models from scratch but im not finding the motivation to do so
then i gotta sharpen up my c++ skills. last time i wrote a program in cpp was 10 years ago
i also wanna learn ada now
maybe try building your program when you start your day. at the end of the day is just too much, gotta catch a break yk
on a side note, my migration from realm to native mongodb is going well. since im incorporating it in an edge architecture, we cant leverage connection pooling
so each request has its own db connection
so gotta find a way to make it efficient
mongo is not designed for edge architecture so its not easy to use connection pooling there
i should deploy an image categorization or recognition (whatever the term is) ai model locally because its getting difficult to find an image by just the file name
ive seen someone use it and it works really well
one usecase is that, you took a lot of screenshots and now want to search a specific one based on the text content or object in that image
Yep a solution we need migrate a SQL SERVER to a MongoDB. them i wrote a migration to convert the tables to format json
oh nice thats cool. did you use streaming and transform the data chunk by chunk or the data wasnt big enough to do that?
This was like a Company of Network Marketing you know, they are working three in SQL SERVER , this become too slow the querys them a solution was convert part of logic to a mongodb jeje ( sry my english is bad)
Yep PANDA library and chunk by chunk
because need to aplicate logic to each user in the table sql server
really i am not an expert in that, but.. to 2 years ago was like a solution. i am not there but.. the people say that the script work good fine up to this day
noice. so you exported data to a file and imported it via pandas? or directly fetched it from db?
oh ic. good job
i make a file of python in the first lines i did the connection between SQL SERVER url bd and the Mongo , them i save all information from the table sql server in a data table and iterate it with chunk
I also make APIs in Java, haha, using Quarkus or Spring Boot. Lately, I’ve been studying and working with that.
cool
actually i am goinng to certificate in AWS i got the cloud practicioner and now i am going to a level up in that jeje
oh man i haven't used spring boot in a while or even java
solutions architect?
developer associate jeje
i want to learn too lambda , apigateways , S3 ( advanced) you know jeje to work event driver architecture
i guess.. with that and personal proyects when i have improved my english i catch up a good work american jaja
i have the solutions architect associate certificate. its useless if you ask me but i learned a lot
thats cool man. what is it about?
Vyrtuous here is a moderation bot and its in python but i didn't have much logging so i made a web interface for it
in java
the only frontend framework that i have learned was angular and astro
but lvl basic and good practices jeje
sweet. i remember using thymleaf in spring boot
template engine
it was a while ago. like 7 years back
MCP... okay its first time like i hear that
model context protocol
an architecture ? approach ?
it uses json-rpc to communicate between an ai model and software tools
that was my main issue as a newbie. i was following different tutorials and was confused because of different packages versions lol
i didnt know any better then
my project is about 155 java files
ahhhhhh okay you use a springboot MCP like a router like a gateway ? too catch up different methods in another applications ?
sorry its my firs time to hear that jaja
rpc?
yes any mcp built program can be used by any ai which uses mcp, which most big ones do now
its like a request to another service, mostly within the private network
private CompletableFuture<JsonNode> handleInitialize(JsonNode params, String id, Optional<MessageReceivedEvent> eventOptional) {
initialized = true;
ObjectNode result = this.MAPPER.createObjectNode();
result.put("protocolVersion", params.path("protocolVersion").asText("2025-06-18"));
ObjectNode capabilities = this.MAPPER.createObjectNode();
ObjectNode toolsCapabilities = this.MAPPER.createObjectNode();
toolsCapabilities.put("canExecute", true);
ArrayNode toolNames = this.MAPPER.createArrayNode();
for (CustomTool<?, ?> tool : ts.getTools()) {
toolNames.add(tool.getName());
}
toolsCapabilities.set("toolNames", toolNames);
capabilities.set("tools", toolsCapabilities);
ObjectNode serverInfo = this.MAPPER.createObjectNode();
serverInfo.put("name", "discord");
serverInfo.put("version", "1.0.0");
result.set("capabilities", capabilities);
result.set("serverInfo", serverInfo);
ObjectNode response = this.MAPPER.createObjectNode();
response.put("jsonrpc", "2.0");
response.put("id", id);
response.set("result", result);
return CompletableFuture.completedFuture(response);
}
AHHH OKAY i am understand you use springboot like a orchestrator
to use your IA applications ?
yes
Although i dont use big ai anymore
i use local models for the tools now
so it requires more code than just mcp
jeje i want to learn IA , anyone recommend me study a cloud certifican in IA ?
in linkedin i look that the companys require certifications cloud to work in IA
but.. in peru as like
idk i am recently join the branch from dev, JAJA I have been working 4 years only
I push the Ada here, but I don't think people listen.
Start of day, is wake up, walk to office in next room, start computer... work
Add everything to a transaction queue to stop contention, and have a back end transaction processor
Yes, happy Spring everyone

im listening... as i get more and more into embedded systems, i need to learn this lang. but ill start with c++ for the time being
noooo. make some time for a cup of coffee 😔
ye something like that. i gotta have a central server where i maintain connection pooling and then instead of directly using mongodb native lib, i'd send requests to that server, and it'll send to the mongodb server. it adds latency, but not that much tho, because its happening over a fast private network
and its gotta be ordered based on timestamp; hence queue
anywho
good mornin' yall ☕
morning
Good evening
Zzzzz
i am also doing in spring boot since 4months
In architecture hexagonal (adapters) where should it go the jwt configuration
Application or infraestructure?
Modernization pattern that creates loosely coupled architectures that isolate business logic from infrastructure code.
i just skimmed through this article
so jwt configurations (like a secret key) are usually stored in a secret store
which is a part of the infrastructure
and your business logic must not be mixed in with external sources
so what if in the future you guys decide to change the implementation of the secret store? in doing so, it must not force you guys to change your business logic
funny thing is im leveraging this pattern without knowing it exists lol
now i know
Oh, yep. In hexagonal architecture, you can isolate the domain with the business logic. But I understand that in the infrastructure layer, we should put the controllers, drivers (ORM, connection to DB, Kafka, other event drivers), and DTOs. In the application layer, we put all the configuration (like transactional settings), for example, exception handlers, Swagger config, beans, components, and other configurations. That’s why I’m asking this question
sure if we are talking about a not serverless aplication jeje
because in the articule of aws, secrete manager , key manager and another security and encription services i understand they are IASS ( infraestructure)
i think the jwt is external because it interacts with external services and also reaches the client. maybe you dont even need the raw jwt inside your business logic, just the decoded data will do (after verifying it from the external layer yk). imagine, do you really think your business logic needs to know what the security key or the jwt algorithm is? or even what jwt library is being used?
Did any one tried chatezzy.com where we can chat with all ais at one place and even get the final analysed answer afters AI debates?
are here any cuper-security guy?
Okay, with what you said, I understand that the JWT must be in the infrastructure layer because it’s an external library.
Can anyone explain me the coersion in javascript
Good evening everyone! Someboy here like work with Python??
Hey, please ask your questions directly
For the reason why, please check out https://dontasktoask.com/
ohhh, sorry guy! I question because i m beginner in programming
i m new here to
That's fine ☺️
Python is a great lenguagen, in my work i m learning because now we work with IA. Exists processes for autoatiom in our ERP. Is there any automation of execl or docuemnt in Word with Python here, is there a specific framework for this?
yeah good luck understanding their language

ok, maybe my mind is a little slack these days

Where y'all from? Perhaps
Framework, language, DB, presentation?
C++, sqlite, wxwidgets,aus
wow. meanwhile i cant even remember what i've seen last month
great recall memory. also i've never seen a movie from 1970, not even 1

I suppose you want me to find all the Unicode characters to Allow me to type that into translate.
Something about being born I guess
i mean go ahead if you're bored lol. i dont even know what that means
probably some alien language

i was bored apparently
"It's excellent, wonderful, I love it, I just want to be there right now and have a drink."
whats the software?
oh
Looking at my laptop
Still primative. Should be able to read my screen on phone
Years of development prospects still available for new programmers
want to read the laptop's screen on a phone?
there's screen casting but i've never used it

hello
hello everybody

hiii
Earlier this week, OpenAI admitted, in an addendum buried in the middle of a lengthy blog post about ChatGPT's propensity for severe mental health harms, that it plans to assess and potentially report to police anything a human reviewer deems sufficiently threatening. Upon discovering this troubling sidebar, Futurism reached out to OpenAI to ask...

yay another spyware
privacy is a luxury
these suckers are gonna paywall privacy in the near future
not looking forward to witness that
Who would've thought? Jk lol I knew it was coming, which is why I try not to share personal information with any proprietary AI service. Some people are definitely in trouble. Imagine one day you say something controversial to ChatGPT, and the next morning a three-letter agency shows up at your door. Sounds far-fetched? Just look at what's happening in the UK. Comedians are getting arrested over controversial tweets. Now they're going to use AI to monitor everything, and if they decide you crossed a line by accident, well, that's jail time.
ts is scary lol
1 step forward, 3 steps back
the possibility of this company directly installing spyware into your brain is scary too
its still early stage tho
so who knows what the future holds
I’ve talked about Neuralink before. I think they’re mainly trying to present themselves as a medical device company to help people with disabilities, which I find commendable.
And they can’t force people to have a chip implanted in their brain, but that doesn’t mean some other company, let’s say from China, wouldn’t.
I hope I’m wrong, but it’s very likely they’ll create a social pressure scenario, like how techbros say nowadays that if you don’t use AI, you’re falling behind. What would stop them from saying that if you don’t get the chip now, you’ll be at a disadvantage?
Me coding friendo how are you guys
And you’ll be like, oh well, my buddy Jimmy got the chip, his buddy Timmy got the chip, so I might get the Flex5000 now and my insurance will cover it. At first, you’ll probably notice an illusion of a quick intelligence boost, like you can fetch information faster, organise your thoughts faster. I know it sounds sci-fi at this point lol. But just wait for them to show you an intrusive ad inside your brain, or maybe in your sleep or dreams. Or they could paywall some new features, and if you can’t pay for the latest brain upgrade, you’ll be dumber than your peers. Or you might get arrested just for having a thought about toppling your government.

well hopefully the board of directors wont get greedy to turn this product into shit. its too early to tell anyway
as far as ai is concerned, its wise to just spin up your own ai model locally without access to the internet to preserve your privacy ig. thats the only solution i see rn
hai tota
and the fact that the chip is wireless and conncts to your device. who's to say it wont get hacked
and do you think a company like that would give a damn about ethics
but nevertheless, the utility of the chip is great
The other day I was going through a few articles and one of them mentioned a research paper where scientists are experimenting with devices that can interpret human brain activity in real time, which basically means reading your mind. If that doesn’t freak people out, I don’t know what will. Imagine your partner asking if she looks great in that dress and she’s got one of those mind readers.
hey guys
why is the euclidian sieve algorithm for prime number lacking in time complexity
I see one is used to get prime numbers up to a certain limit(N) while the other is used to test a large number for prime
Time to go to the old times of living in the forest
well im gonna add the "thought based password" when it comes to that lol.
she: YOU BETTER UNLOCK YOUR THOUGHTS OR I SWEAR TO GOD
maybe it'll help couples whose communication style is messed up. with mutual permission ofc
Hey. The dress looks great.

707
guys
How much will this site cost to build?
https//google.com/
Restaurant website template

Not gonna save you. They could send drones with advanced mind-reading chips that scan your thoughts while you sleep. So you’ve gotta go underground, as deep as you can. And don’t forget your tinfoil hat.
Never gonna happen.
The risk is when you don’t think it looks great but still have to say it does. The first sin is saying it looks great, the second is getting caught by the mind reader. By then, she’d be furious.
Have you tried rebuilding it with Claude? If you can, it’ll probably cost you free 99.

is this illuminati helpline?
Yes true

the website only has 2 pages. the home and the menu. given the ui assets are already provided, you can build this website in 15-25 hours. just multiply your hourly rate with the hours worked.
edit: there's also an admin page, which means its not a complete static website, so that changes things.
hi guys whatsapp bruh
rwx---rwx
This statement is basically true for all fashion. The fashion will always generally look good. It's what is the constant in the equation that is not stated.
Actually I can. However I haven't tried Claude yet, they blocked my number for no reason
. And I heard it's a little costly so I didn't give it a try anymore.
I saw the admin page it has an Excel like grid for managing the menu items. You can access it too with the "admin" password.
Anyways they asked me just $50 for that site. Idk why I am feeling a bit odd with that price tag.
$50 is a joke. you need to set up a db and 2 endpoints to update/fetch menu items, 2 endpoints to verify/set the admin password. plus, 3 pages.
assuming it'll take you 20-35 hours
just multiply it with lowest per hour rate you're ok with
and its gonna be nowhere near $50 lol
I am the one looking to buy. Seems like I got a good deal to save some pennies.
oh lol. then you better pay up whatever the work's worth
ah ic. they quoted you that much. then deal's a deal. go ahead. ask them to build it
how should i start cyber security ?
online courses, and get your hands dirty
and not literally ok
if you do, wash it afterwards

well... im bored. time to get out of the city for a day

Hello guys , who can tell me how to start programming
first, install visual studio code
Then, pick your language. C is a short name and easy to remember so, start reading the language syntax.
Then watch this series here and ask questions from us.
#💻|programming message
Peo is very informative

I'm programming in C, and after going to C# and C++ later
Of course, these languages are good for software and games developments
What kind of requirements do the companies related to progaming ask you to know?
I mean , I heard or saw on internet that some programmers were saying handling Java doesn't work anymore
Because there are many diferent programs to develope web pages or games , if I am wrong correct me please .
its a bullshit claim. its heavily used in enterprise applications, especially in banking
programming fundamentals stay the same but you use different engines/frameworks/libraries for developing different things
if you wanna learn a specific thing, just follow a structured roadmap for it
lots of paths there to choose from
unrelated but i noticed that there's always something good/bad that happens to me in august. something significant that is

isnt that a good thing
only the good things
not the bad ones tho
they suck
so bad
better than neutral and boring
thats november probably
-
Why do you want to learn to code?
-
Is it something you truly want, or are you just following the hype?
-
What do you hope to build?
-
Do you have any specific goals?
-
How much time or effort are you willing to commit to learning it?
you are lucky then
im no lucky man
from today on words, I shall use your name a variable in my programs
nil

you are lucky
wish it was that easy
I made a password generator
In goes two parameters, a string and a number and out goes a 16 character long string containing lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols
print(password("youtube", 0x7FC091ABD1)) -> -v70?B/0,YROre3o
Makes it easier to remember hard passwords
I can't answer the questions because I don't know exactly what to respond about it. However I will try to do it. I am willing to spend a bunch of hours in order to learn how to code as well as I learn english I want to do the same on programming.
I hope to build a profession given that I spend almost my entire life in front of the screen so I want to make money being with that.
My goal would be; becoming a programmer (the most required area by the companies in order to get a Job and meanwhile developing other skills or knowledge about programming such as learning diferent kind of cod programs and in this way I may be able to choose the prefered brench.
I see myself as a determine guy
I am patient
Though I had to be patient due to my low capacity of learning
So I spend more hours understanding something than usual
By the way I have 0 of knowledge about programming
Maybe it's too late to start coding
You have no idea how powerful you really are. You are way better than you think, stay strong my friends!

I won't even be hired as a Junior when I have learned the enough knowledge already , the IA will...
I'm afraid of IA 🙁
If if you believe that you can learn,
even if you're not that naturally
gifted, it's like a switch goes off in
your mind and it just makes it easier to
absorb things.
Having a positive attitude in life
towards everything, not just learning,
makes a huge difference, my friends. And
that's the message for this video. Stay
strong.
I just saw it , thanks, yes, I will start learning code.
I am in highschool yet
Though I'm 20
The next year I will have to choose an orientation
I'm trying to build a life and before I choose a career I decided to inmerse myself in programming
perfect age to start learning. you've got this
Most companies work in a particular language/DB etc within the team you are being selected for. In advertising the role, they should be telling candidates what they want. If they didn't, then you probably should not waste your time applying, as it could be a brick layer for all you know. Look for jobs that match your skills. If you are a java programmer, then search for jobs with the word 'java' in the requirements. If you apply for a job in another language to the one you know, then you will need to convince them that you can adapt quickly due to your fast learning and excellent understanding of programming concepts. Hopefully you have been working on your own programming projects at home and this helps to show your dedication to the profession and that you are likely to know something other than what was taught generally at college/uni. That is you can actually create something without being supervised, and know what a program actually is and how to make one for yourself.

And what good or bad things happened to you this August past? It was good nothing bad happened, or it was bad nothing good happened?

though i learned some basic programming/cs concepts in the 11th & 12th grade, when i was around 17-18. i only took it seriously when i was about 19-20. so you have plenty of time
Pointerless
it was only a good thing. i mean, not necessarily good... the thing i got the opportunity to do is risky. ask me again after a year whether it turned out to be good or not
freakin risks
we dont know for sure
Wow what a wonderfull answer, It helped me quitely, thanks.
Sence you mentioned a company hires for an especific language then I will focus on one of them.
You mentioned C++ up before, I will start with that language.
Yes. 16 character string passwords are much easier to remember than my random 256 character string passwords.
What do you do in front of your screen?
Slow and steady is fine, but passion is essential .
I watch youtube videos, listen to preachings, play videogames, etc
or read some book
I am a lonely guy so I'm always using the PC or cleaning my house
English tip: in English the term is AI.
I have wasted a lot of hours doing things that don't worth it , now I want to use my time to grow my professional life (if I achieve it xd)
Sorry I always confuse them with my spanish haha
That's true
Great. Then it is not too late to start programming. In fact, if you give up the video games and start programming by writing your own games, no matter how simple the first games are. You will have a good understanding by the time you get to college/uni, and can stay ahead of the others in your age group. The programs you start writing now and improving on over the next few years will turn you into a powerhouse programmer by the time you start your first professional job. Understand the hardware also. This will keep you in touch with the machine and give you a better understanding of why and what you are working for.
Excellent
I'm hoping to write an empty form today. That's going to be hard for me. But it's the hardest part. The first lines.
You are right, I will do that, by the way I feel butterflies in my heart , guys you have motivated me a lot ,thank you very much haha
for real.
the annoying thing about coding the forms is the validation
for complex forms, you gotta make it interactive to show/hide input fields based on input from other fields or make it multi-step
kitty is tanning today
Yes. I use states to manage what needs to be there and what not, as the user works with the form.
@left umbraFuck you
x%x+x*x*x*x%x%x/x%x*x+x+x%x/x+x*x/x^x-x^x/x%x%x*x*x/x+x/x%x-x%x%x-x*x/x^x/x*x*x-x-x%x%x+x%x^x*x*x*x^x-x%x+x+x-x^x-x%x%x-x/x+x%x%x%x^x/x-x/x%x^x^x+x*x-x^x^x*x*x*x*x-x^x/x/x*x+x^x%x^x+x
full expression
i once had to incorporate logic into a form. CONTAINS, EQUALS, ONE_OF, etc, operators applied on input fields. i was cooked by the end
if the condition is true, then hide the input field and skip the validation. and vice versa
we need a description of this channel
like 'coding and computers'?
I think that's a great opportunity to learn more about programming. You can go to LinkedIn and use different filters to see which skills are in demand. Most importantly, don't start learning a programming language just because someone else told you to. For example, if you asked me which one to learn, I'd probably say Python. Someone else might say JavaScript, C++, Rust, or something else entirely. There's no way of knowing whether you'll actually like them, so the best thing you can do is try. Don't commit to something you don't understand yet. Let's say you have a month to explore. Do your research. Do you want to build web applications, AI-powered systems, desktop applications, video games, or something else? Once you know that, pick three languages that fit those goals, watch some videos, talk to ChatGPT, and explore. I hope you get the idea.

What you told me has illuminated me more about programming, thanks for that. I will see what is my especiality whether videogames or web applications.
You're welcome

Like all areas of computing, security requires your passion, then your 3 or 4 years of college/uni, t learn what computers all all about, but with some additional focus on the ways computers fail and are vulnerable to bugs and mistakes etc. Then you graduate and get your first job, but you will not be a coloured hat hacker of any sort. You will start out working with the administration of the computing assets of your company. Managing spreadsheets of software installed, version numbers, patch releases, hardware components etc. Then your big hands on will be downloading the patches and updates for all of these bits and ensuring they are installed on the assets. This will include desktop apps, databases, cisco routers or whatever hardware is used. You may participate in formulating exercises for the business users to test if they will fall for email phishing occasionally, but basically its an administration position, requiring little real knowledge of any code issues, as these are done by the programmers of the software packages that are being used. You may need to read the websites and forums and keep an eye out for notices etc, and pass these on to the boss to ensure they are checked within your environment. Your own passion and reading over many years following graduation, may give you some experience to start identifying issues in your organization, by yourself without being asked to or being directed. One day you may feel you have some specialized knowledge and those years of spreadsheet management, may allow you to run a team in another business, or if you are truely a hacker, maybe get a higher paying role. This is 10-15 years post graduation - age 35-45 or even later in age.

The saviour is here
Guys, I decided to become a Web Developer
And I came across with these three University professions
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Computer Engineering
At the same time, I want to train in parallel in web development-oriented languages and tools, with the goal of gaining practical experience and full-stack knowledge while pursuing my degree.
This way, by the time I graduate in 2032, I'll have both a university degree and a solid foundation of experience in web development.
The issue is , I don't know where to begin, do you guys have a clue about this xd?
start with html and css. build your first page today
Let's gooooooo! ahaha
Sorry, Is it not the same language CSS and C++?
no, css is used to style the markup
start with this. its free and extensive
html is used to structure your content and css is used to style it
Thanks, I just read the title and the course includes HTML and CSS
without css, you'd literally see text on a webpage, which is just html content
after that, move on to js to make your webpage interactive
like making a request to the backend
or updating the html content by manipulating dom
and handling events
but that comes much later. just start with html/css for now
great. looking forward to seeing your first webpage. good luck
Ha yes, I don't know how long will it take but I'll try my best
Me in 2032

🧓

well this is a good start <h1>Hello World</h1>
yay!
its just missing body, html head and doctype
to make it a full page
also me
And you are still typing html
i dont
it just finds me one way or another
Guys
I was thinking about the codes
and I realized I'm quite good remembering words
I think that's gonna help
There must be close to 20 key words in a language. You will be like the Superman of coding.
Nemo and a polar bear xd
Programmer and polar bear
Will AI replace web dev in the future?
nop, recently i was facing issue with figma
when we try to export code using AI and it sucks
thanks so much
Even so I am gonna take the risk and immerse myself in Information
Technologies
I want to curse!! , I couldn't send my message cause the server blocked it wtff
we're getting there but who knows. maybe not 100% but some aspects of it will definitely be "replaced" by ai
got it
Has anyone here watched WWDC?

hello, is there any voice channel about programming?
thanks!
You're welcome. Btw you need at least a decade of Java experience to join this vc since it’s only for the elites.

Actually you just need to say "Who wants to chat about ..." in this channel and then go to VC. Otherwise you will be approached by singles in your area.

Should I work on my own project and build my portfolio or get a job and experience? Asking as someone who's about to graduate in BSIT
i think you cant get a job without experience if you know nothing how they can hire you
How do they hire freshers 😭
yes
try to solve real problems
do things for free
Open source projects...
Okay like work on my portfolio then touch the job market
Yes, work on your own project(s). build something exciting to keep you interested. You will be learning by doing this. Also apply for jobs. When they ask about experience, tell them that you write your own applications, and tell them about what you are doing, why and the challenges you have had. They will appreciate that you are passionate about development, and not just sitting around playing video games. They understand that the people they are hiring are new to the field, so if you can be working on things, even if not for money, they will look on this favourably.
Okay thank you so much I appreciate it
You should build a few unique real world projects. It’s better to focus on three or four solid ones than a bunch of cookie-cutter projects that are just a Google search away or could be built by an AI in a couple of hours. The job market is pretty grim right now, so make the effort to reach out to people on LinkedIn or through your network. Don’t turn down internships if you’re offered any, because they’ll give you valuable experience. Show them you’re passionate about this. Best of luck.

is anyboy runned mysql in vscode before?
Hi, just wanted to ask who good at blender 3D animation here? I wanna ask something😭
Thank you very much! I appreciate it and yes I am connecting with people on LinkedIn
I should get serious about serious making some money +_+
MySQL commands can be directly executed in CMD(Terminal) and there is also a dedicated application called MySQL workbench you can use that as well
im currently working in mysql workbench
but im just a begginer
im more familiar with vscode enviorment
thats why i asked
In this video, I'll show you how you can connect to mysql server from vscode and run sql queries from vscode.
We need to install and extension in visual studio code that will allow us to connect to mysql server in our local machine or a remote server. After we have connected to the MySQL server from vs code, we can then inspect the database serv...
I don't like rabes anymore, my focus in on the C++ to get more brain cells for programming logic
Who knows liquid?
well, nobody likes rabies
workbench is for beginners though. its a gui that makes your job easier. some of us had to work with mysql in the cli 😔
it also has a really drag n drop kinda way to define your database schema. it doesn't get more fun than that

I have developed. Yes.
that's great. I am also developer
What is your main stack?
liquid, html, css, javascript
and .NET
where are you from @pure copper
@junior girder What is this . A scam?
No no
I was looking for someone with that name but got many people so I tagged everyone.😅
lucky, as the mods almost banned you as a scammer
You do .NET?
Australia
Oh, I missed the "liquid, html, css, javascript" before the and .NET
Tagging people, you call it a scam ?
Well.. were you offering something that leads you out of this server? xd
If so , you are all a scammer
It was similar to a 1.jpg link scam.
But, hey, you are still here, so...

My baby, teaching new developers, on CUCUMBER (Computing Under Composite Unified Memory Buffering Extrapolation Registers)
only goats writes cpp

Scary... Just cancelled my web hosting services. I accidentally let my domain expire, but cant be bothered renewing. Maybe another relevant name for the next 25 years.
Please recommend which language is best python or java?
(KKKKKK, inocente demais!) That's true
Rust
java
Well after looking at 6 hosting companies, I might just uncancel my current company, and keep using them. Pretty much the same price, after one adds in all the little extras required,. I just need to get a domain.
loved by locals indeed lol
do you have a usb flash drive
If you are new, please do a backup first.
There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube teaching how to do it. But if you are new to Linux too, I recommend starting with a more simple distro, like Ubuntu or Mint
Consider, duel boot, or replacement. I had 9 pages of steps for adding Linux mint as a duel boot. I did it for two machines and they had completely different challenges. I use the Linux boot manager, as I didn't trust windows to one day Allow other op systems to work with it. I feel they will not share devices in the future.
You will need to shuffle your disk configuration around. A bit. Maybe reduce the windows partition, and or make a common partition both can access, although both systems should still be able to see the others partitions regardless.
Resurrecting mother's computer because she needs something to do.
Anyone know about icpc, I've project form my uni, rlly confused
I'm glad it stood the test of time.

Yes. You missed it
Woohoo. I was so close
Also, you'll find plenty of tutorials online, but I have to stress one thing, always back up your data, I mean it. Even if everything goes smoothly, you never know what could happen. Make sure to back up everything before you start the process of migrating from Windows to Linux.
Yes, buy a new disk to back up everything. Dont forget your application configuration files, and all the nice hidden directories.
Nothing worse than trying to restore application configurations and pointers from memory. Also theer are plenty of open source applications for the disk management, to help you set up the partitions etc. There were a couple of youtube videos I watched that explained most of the potential issues I may encounter, but it was not as easy as just following a video unfortunately. There was one point where I was entering the binary for the disk bootstrap, which I last did back in the late 80's when I worked with Unix.
But I am just doomsaying.
🥳

It'll be fine
(BACKUP)
Well, tell us your problem.

Listen to the second part of this video with T V Mohandas (former board of Infosys), discussing travel for education in USA from India/ (anywhere), and not wasting time with bottom 80% of colleges; and alternatives. Also discussed some of the migration scams and the tightening of the US visa requirements.

The Trump administration has imposed stricter visa rules, blocking Indians from applying for short-notice B1/B2 tourist or business visas in third countries. This policy directly affects students, professionals, and travellers seeking faster appointments abroad.

“Programmers were asked to make the worst possible volume control”
so basically i have a function that will take like 5 queries in total or could be done in just one complex query. is it better to implement with complex query or 5 queries? in terms of speed i guess complex query wins, but in terms of maintainability and stuff 5 queries is better.
can someone give me insight?
You will only need to maintain it every few months or longer. However your users will be using it daily or by the millions of users. So its better to let the optimization give you the speed for your many users, and bear a bit of pain every now and then to make the odd change..
Ive seen the difference of 5 nice separate queries vs 1 complex, and when I had done this (similarly) it was like microseconds vs 20 seconds.
But run some stats and do the timings on the queries, and multiply this by users * access count
Also build some indexes on your data if they don't exist.
If performance is critical and the query isn’t impossible to read, go with 1. If maintainability and flexibility matter more, go with 5.

he doesnt explain what query is and you guys answer without knowing the topic well
lmao
the programming language you use also matters here
Its general dba performance
It applies to all, generally
are the queries sent over network
Should you be asking if the data is sent over the network. A query isn't really that long, even if call 'long'
if sent over network there's also kernel overhead
yes
thats the question you should be asking
test and benchmark it
A complex query will do all of the data crunching within the database and then send the result. A 5 part will require the parts to be sent over the network and then merged or resent back to the db over the net for each part, so much slower also.
As we said. Run the two versions and see what works best.
yes
hello world
using go and the service-repository pattern. its a service method where i will retrieve a full user information based on several repositories i have made.
for the sake of simplicity and reusable, i will go with calling multile queries instead. might try the complex query option and benchmark both if im not lazy lol
Hello world! I'm a developer working with Java and Angular. I live in Brazil and need to improve my English to apply for better jobs or work abroad. I have a lot of difficulty speaking. I can read, listen, and understand people. I can watch movies without subtitles, but when it comes to speaking, it's like I'm at an A0 level. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to improve?

"Over the past year, we have implemented many AI projects across our organisation," Kaufman wrote. "We've witnessed firsthand how AI can automate and streamline processes, liberate humans from manual and tedious tasks."
He said the company evaluated what AI could do and reached a clear conclusion: "As we evaluate what has been done and what can be done, we believe we don't need as many people to operate the existing business."

hello everyone
I mean, horses were replaced by cars when they came, and entire industries like blacksmithing and stables dissolved.
All the money the companies make now should be taxed at 95% to provide social income for the population, that has now been freed to relax and enjoy the sunshine. There is no need for money to stay in companies. They will only exist to be tools for society. Even better is not to tax them. There are no humans that need money within the companies, so they can just exist and provide free services for mankind so humans can relax in the sun, while the machines sit in the background doing the mundane activities, we all don't need to be doing.
We just need to nationalize them from the trillionaire owners, that also dont need that much money.
Php better then java for Backend
