type script will more likely show whats wrong in the IDE alreadady, while java script errors because of wrong data types tend to only throw during runtime

in a sense, java script is more free, type script is more strict.

if you are unfamiliar to coding, type script might be more friendly to you, as you see earlier that you did something wrong

think of TS as a superset of JS, not a whole new programming language. If you’ve used Java or any statically typed language before, you’ve probably seen stuff like int x = 10;. But JS is dynamically typed (like Python, btw), which means it lets you do whatever you want, which sounds cool at first, but in big projects, it turns into a mess and causes tons of bugs.
TS was created by Microsoft to fix that. I never actually "learned" it. I just started using it in my projects. And honestly, now I can’t code without it. JS feels like a nightmare in comparison

A type to a function implies the function only produces a result of that type. Knowing this, the compiler etc will give you an error if you throw an integer function into a real number calulation, which would potentially produce an incorrect result.

yea, dynamic typing does result in less boilerplate. its not either better or worse compared to static typing, just a different tradeoff. it all boils down to your team size, project size, and maintainability

fing windows. I installed an old application on my machine and all my documents appeared to be deleted. This is the onedrive/ms crap that uses system shortcuts that are hard coded in windows. I have eventually got the directory back and put all my stuff in my c:\Data drive that holds stuff I want it to have. I also could not call it 'Documents' as it kept on hijacking the directory and linked it into the opsystem which is what caused the issue in the first place. Sure the data is no longer user specific buy its a one person machine so stuff MS.
