I'm a male immigrant from Brazil 21 lol
greencard holder?
I said that I can help you but I don't actually know what you were talking about lol
Nop
Okay.
H1B
Sure
What are u doing now?
I don't trust in people from the west
Just chilling what about you?
No, I don't
I don't feel much interest in chilly environment
I am an IT engineer.
so I usually focus on my work.
lol...
But later on you learn how to not give a damn
Just kidding
A don't sleep for weeks
You'll never have peace again
what do u do for living?
Web developer
Full stack Django/React.js
python and javascript
And you?
Right
include Django and React
besides, more languages...
some are really professional
others are junior level like Ruby, Golang, Asp, Java etc..
how about u?
That's impressive
do u prefer back end or frontend?
No person on earth prefer front end
There is no such thing
Yeah...that's my boy.
🤣🤣🤣
Tobe honest... I haate design
If I have something like that, I generally outsource it
like Indian devs...lol
It's because you're a programmer bro not a designer
they are very affordable
Bro lol
I am Indian you know
I find it very offensive
u from Brazil or India?
Lol
You just too smart to mess with
But Brazil is cheap too
lol...stop pulling my legs
I would never do this your balls are in it
Seriously now I must go very nice talk
Sure...
In wich langugage do you programming guys?
mostyl python for fun, but i tried to learn cpp, now im a bit busy but i think to retake it in december
what about you?
Hello guys are here any web developer?
Are u working? Can u give some advices and the materials about web development?
I learn at the moment or for 1 Month started I programming in Lua, I had a good journey
Yeah It runs fine
roadmap for full stack web development ^^
many languages, for a project i choose the language accordingly
i code in like c, c++, python, javascript, php, rust etc
Hello gays
Is that not hard enough?
or for you like something?
anybody here into cybersecurity ?
Frontend bro
Are you front-end developer?
yes i am
me
i wouldnt trust in someone who says they know more than 3 languages haha
even if they have tried all of them, it would be impossible to masterized it
True
Python
Name = I'm new
Print(Name)
Output
I'm new
that doesnt works haha
yup
you can find a lot of free stuff
on freecodecamp, for example
but generally the way i go about this, after many free tutorials, is that i stopped trusting them and now i pay for udemy courses (u get them with huge discounts during new year and big events, so thats cheap then, normally theyre not)
my favorite instructors for web dev would definitely be Jonas Schmedtmann and Max Schwarzmuller, both on udemy.com
Nah, it was 90% correct
Finally some one sees my future
Believe in you bro 🤝
Name = "I'm new"
print(Name)
💀 ☠ bru recognized me am I famous?
Not true. I've programmed in many languages over the years. Had no hassles in acheiving my goals. Besides, these days all the languages look the same, do if you feel that way, given the blending and integration of all the languages with all, then perhaps it's you that should be feared to be trusted.

Or logically, your statement is true and ( I've programmed in many languages 3+ and i agree)
i wont argue with someone who says all the languages look the same
90% of not much, it's still not much 🧜♀️
I see an accountant or philosophy lecturer
Everyone who chats here is famous, including you.
Hi
bro Angular is better or Reactjs? and give me the reasons
i want to learn java.
Bro code is insane I learned with him a lot
Here is a article about them
https://kinsta.com/blog/angular-vs-react/
I'm my opinion, if it's a small project and you want make fast take React
If is a huge project and you want a organized structure take Angular
With anyone you can make a good things, you only need know how take advantage of each one
Angular👎 , React👍
But they are very popular in front-end development.
will see his videos. can i add u btw?
if i want to find a job. Angular will be easier or react?
Here in Brazil there more position for react, I don't know in the other countries.
I don't know what level you are, but it's better you have strong knowledge in Javascript/Typescript/HTML/CSS instead in lib or framework like React and Angular, because this frameworks change a lot
If you could, make some project with both, and try to apply to position
I have been learning coding for 1 and half year. I have learned html css (scss) js nodejs (mongodb) and a little bit about cs.
I would like to code with OOP patterns
pattern*
here?!
İdk this is programming or not but , i just made website
great
with OOP, you can learn JAVA, C# and related
I don't know if you're appling for jobs... but try
okay.
that's good idea. but he is 15 years old. lol
I think React is more popular and useful.
It's good.
Most of language support OOP pattern.
I would say that React is like the standard in industry, at least for now. Learning React would give move employability chance
I used Angular in my internship and I kinda hated it, tbh
Well, I don't really like frontend development
I love the both front end and backend.
Are you software develoepr?
I'm not working at the moment, I'm on my last semester
May i ask one?
Sure
Where are you from?
I'm from Ecuador, South America P:
Oh
I am from Japan.
I am 33 years old.
I 'd like to have partnership with you.
Is it available for you?
For sure you can 🥰
As a potential employer and PM , I would be looking for a solution that has been well developed for my money and whilst I would say Angular appears to give that, React also has features that are of equal benefit. In the end, I would be employing someone who was familiar with both, A person that can understand the differences, will know how to communicate with a development team of mixed skills, and provide input into the development environment of the shortfalls of one over the other when they impact a project.
anybody interested in a VC about C language? message me please, thanks
discussing about languages is dumb
yeah, there are definitely too many programming languages available
people get easily confused
Hey guys can anyone help me with practicing English w me cuz i have to develop it and i think I’m in level zero in ENGLISH so if anyone interest please dm me
What happened mate?
you want to talk about C language?
You’re a programmer too celine?
You do write in English so I wouldn't say that you're a lvl 0
Bro just love talk about C
Cuz it is the third best lang
Plz anyone tell me how to deal with github or how to learn it
YouTube
Do you recommend any channels?
Harry has some good videos if you are looking in hindi
Unfortunately I’m looking for English natives 😭
Learn about Git and GitHub in this tutorial. These are important tools for all developers to understand. Git and GitHub make it easier to manage different software versions and make it easier for multiple people to work on the same software project.
This course was developed by Gwen Faraday. Check out her YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.co...
FreeCodeCamp.org has some best free resources
Thank you mehdi for your help
Double it and give it to the next person
true for real
like you can only 1 very good and others like a beginner
Hi everyone, I'm Alex. Beginner Frontend devman. I'm learning English and JavaScript basis now. There's already some experience in layout.
There's want learn TypeScript + React. Looking for web development beginners like myself~
Hi, Alex. I am well-rounded web developer. How can I help you?
Nah bro in practice not at all
but to learn the principles of programming it's great
As you move through life, you will master many languages and relegate the old to the Oracle of time.
just watch a youtube tutorial
In practice it is better too
I understand your point, but still, to a large and complex project it's just not worth the headache
In any field whatsoever
OS development without C?
I just said that is not one of the best, I didn't say that it is worthless
I'm just looking for buddies to develop in this~
But thx for help ❤️
Do you recommend any channel?
what are you trying to do?
just to upload/update files?
usually i just do this when i want to do that
git add .
git commit -m whateveryouwanthere
git pull origin main
git branch -M main
git push -u origin main```
at the moment you already should have installed git
i dont like to follow tutorials since they are too verbose but if you feel comfortable watching them, so watch someone uploading or doing the specific thing you are trying to do
Tbh I don’t know what must done on github so i want to learn how to see effective things that help me and things like that
freeCodeCamp
Thank you sure i will see it ❤️

as a beginner should i learn node js or laravel
this kind of question is easier to answer with a little bit more context. What are trying to achieve?
other thing to point out is: NodeJS is a programming language and Laravel is a Framework, the best comparison could be between NodeJs and PHP for instance.
I just got done with front end now I want to learn back end and I know mysql as well..should learn php as you put it or node js...also which one would be good from the perspective of jobs
And which would be easier
Hello.
Can someone who is well versed in python socket contact me?
No C? Try COBOL instead!
better trying assembly
nodeJS is a server environment for javascript language to execute
normally, JS can be executed only by the browsers, nodeJS, electron, and react native are all frameworks which make it possible to execute it outside of the browser
I'll write an assembler in COBOL then
hello everybody, interested in developing a new programming language?
Always, but really dont have the time anymore
Yeah I understand it
Hi
hello fellow, how are you
intriguing
I'm not a professional in this matter, but it doesn't seem to be a good idea
try c++ or rust
if not these then you are gonna choose horrible languages
also writing full os in assembly is not a good decision
i hope that you are kidding
well
node.js is technically a js runtime environment, you can use it for app dev, web dev etc
laravel is a php web framework
i'd assume you're gonna use node.js for backend dev (express.js and node.js)
i would highly recommend you to go with node.js
php's market share is going down
also js is more scalable than php
C++ and rust are trashes
hi
okay, 🤓!
hi
?
§
Hello
heyo
Better yet forget all these good for nothing languages you just need HTML, CSS and Javascript nothing more
Yu can can create a whole OS if you put enough effort and believe in yourself
@wise forge good luck creating an os with html
Thks friend you are a friend

Isn't that called a browser
Nah I'm pure sure it's called a operating system
I made it I name it, pure simple logic
@wise forge good luck creating an os with html (2)
What is this?
hi, are there people here, who learns Java?
is funny most of the best programmers are actually pretty good at maths
White theme has a great impact on eye health
by learn programming, you get better at logic, by being better at logic you get better at math. It becomes more evident if you try functional programming.
You got me there!
This is a high power operating system written in html
My main VDU is green on Black
I haven't used it before but I learned about it. Still, wouldn't using a black theme increase the effect?
Are you programmer?
does anyone need help with javascript ?
I have programmed for many years. I only do it for a little bit of fun, now,. My primary activities are system design , project management and compliance.
Did you work at the company before?
But the body just started at the line of 762
The first 762 lines process the commands and control the file system and I/O devices. You don't think I would just go and publish that.

Can't steal an idea that's been around for 60 years
text formatting languages have been around for many decades. Its not really programming, just word processing.
you are right jokes on me 😦
but still

take a look at this
I send a link to you guys when its ready
looking for a ban
not me lol
But the body part is just small, I think html should start with all content in the body part
bro how can you let sensitive information in the body
never trust in the user
my os is not windows so could you please add one more function for linux and macOS as well? I use arch btw)
Sure thing friend everything for the costumer
if you are making an os like this
then use websockets
they are lighter than http requests
and make sure to make a nice looking ui
@shy glade
Thanks dude
you may ask your questions here
Thanks a lot dude
What's the problem here guys
probaby w. the functions you have made
I'm trying to use printf command with C++
ohh ill check it
printf works w. c++
it's in the iostream header file by itself
or cstdio if you want a c++ version of stdio.h and don't want other functions like std::cout and std::cin from c++ stl, just c i/o functions
the function is 100% working
and printf is also working but with only %d
when i use %s i got garbage
sure thing
What is the content of EnumToString funciton?
Bro the function works well
look it works when i use cout
string EnumToString(enAttendOrNot AttendOrNot)
{
string AttendOrNot_str[] = { "NotAttend" , "Attend" };
return AttendOrNot_str[AttendOrNot];
}
The wrong thing u do is giving std::string as an argument to the printf function. %s takes char* not std::string, so u have to write EnumToString(arguments).c_str()
it works
so why should i use .c_str()
The function is supposed to return a strange so why doesn't it work
The printf functions takes const char* as a value to print the string
And your function returns std::string
I was coding in C and %s was take string
%c for character
In C you can access strings by char*
Which is a pointer to the first character
yea yea
But in C++ the std::string isn’t just that but a class that contains methods, size and also the pointer to the first character
And the c_str method returns the pointer to the first character as an unchangeable area
a constant pointer
thx bro now i got it
Yw
guys who can help me? i am 14 years. I have been studying English only for 6 months and maybe i have mistakes in my sentences, so i am sorry, i also have been learning Javascript for 3 months, i like it and i wanted to get IT job in the future but a lot of people say that these IT jobs won't be actually in the future, and i don't know what to do. Should I continue to learn Javascript or not? i have to get your advises
Yes you should of course, it's best what you can do now to future.
thank you bro, i will try
For me it is not supposed to start with js
u should first be established in a strong language like C, C++, java, C#.
but don't worry u can learn it now
As for the idea that there will be no programmers in the future, this is nonsense
simply cuz programmers are the ones who created ai
there is a lot of talk on this topic
a lot of fake news recently
and if you want to work in IT, you can do that
any programming language is good if you understand it well, because you can transfer your skills from it to other ones
and even the knowledge of programming itself, in any language, is useful for other IT jobs, testers who know how software is made are more valuable than testers who dont
or security staff, who knows how to code, is more useful, because they understand exploits, errors, vulnerabilities, etc, way better
even system admins, who can code, are better, because they can understand the system apps way better, or just any tech position is way better for someone who knows how stuff works
Depends on the country ofc, but if you are 14 years old, and wanna start, then do that and dont even care about any fake news or people who demotivate you
if your tech gets obsolete somehow, then so it happens, your skills are not gonna be wasted, because tech skills are often transferring from one position to another
Hi everyone ! I'm new here and i am a 37 years old IT student 😆
it's ok
we need several people for remote work.
the bottom line is this, you will need to advertise our crypto exchange, for each participant, we will pay $ 100
everything is transparent
If you are interested, Dm please
Hmm very suspicious 🤨
Nah bro don't listen to these guys from here. your cousin is right chat gpt will kill us all, you might as well give up now while you still can
Of course, you should continue to learn Javascript.
GPT is only AI and you are person. It is different between person and AI.
daily article is ready
https://denizhalil.com/2023/11/29/networksherlock-port-scanning/
nice website
Do you have a roadmap for learning React?
thank you guys, a have read all your advises and i have decided continue to learn programming language
/rank
Guys I'm really confused, what should I choose macbook m1 air with a monitor or pc with CPU i5 13400f
macbook
pc, install linux on it afterwards
I just can using Linux on an old laptop and don't need to buy a PC for that
it is decent yes it can run games depending on which one you mean
but for coding
macbook
so easy to bring it to place
just put it in ur bag
and it’s lightweight
but if you are gonna be home
pc
I tried the 'old pc' trick, and if you are serious about computing, you need to give the Linux OS a good machine also, as it will be just as unusable as a new Windows machine.
Hey there I'm a newbie in AI and both software and hardware engineering which is the perfect place to learn Firmware (Both Hardware and software combined)
Any Youtube channels, Websites?
And also Cloud computing and Quantum computing as well
depends on the distro, modern distros like linux mint cinammon, or ubuntu with their normal version, will take a lot, true
but distros like linux mint xfce, or lubuntu, are way lighter, i run linux mint xfce daily
ofc they are limited when it comes to the customization
So do i
I suppose i should be happy. Running Linux, with current machine memory and cpus, even if 20 years old could easily handle 1024 terminals with command line, on a serial mux.
Mmm 1024 x vt100
my laptop am using is like 5 years old already, not that much, but still it had been used a lot before
it used to run windows
Mine is 12 years old
and guess what, windows 10 on it was so laggy, so bloated, that i barely used it, i couldnt handle constant lags
Want to throw it out the window
i have one like this too but its battery and some other part are already destroyed so i cant even run linux on that
Linux does start in a minute compared to 15 minutes for win 10 of the dual boot.
corporate hell
of microsoft
And it wants to upgrade every week if not every time i start Windows
people who i tell about linux call me a conspiracy theorist
bruh
I find most people are now so watered down with the modern marketing, they don't even know what we are talking about, so couldn't call it a conspiracy. It's like the aliens talking to the cave men.
just tried to sign into microsoft teams
with a web browser on linux
apparently microsoft doesnt like some of brave browser's settings
Oh that's sad
Makes me want to euthanize
It's like everyone telling me I'm not allowed to use ad blockers
Cause what i do with data they send and decide to display on my screen is their business
i turned off all settings which blocked third-party cookies and fingerprinting
guess what, now microsoft teams works
yeah
I gotta use that teams crap tho
because my organization forces it upon me, they cant use anything else
Use it on a machine provided by your company
web browser version seems to work
It just needs to save some data so it knows who you are each time..
microsoft teams thinking they can get my camera
surprise, i have it taped up
physically
lmfao
That's what the slider switch at bottom is for
idk i just come from a point of view where every feature microsoft has can be potentially a spyware tool
At least they admit it. But secretly what they don't tell you, is that when you have your camera on and mic on, they are not watching or listening.
life is like matrix
when you use all social media and major companies products, you think everything is great
but when you look under the hood of every of that, you realize they are lying and many of their products are poor quality
The play store and itunestore are just kids with plenty of hack thrown in. Unless you write your own phone apps, you are just laying down belly up to get kicked in the gut by every person that lists their app.
Well 🛏️
ciao for now
Well that was interesting
I mean seriously, we'll know that our electric devices can hear and see us, at this point is not a conspiracy theory anymore, but where is all this data I mean it must have a lot of data I believe they don't store this data, not permanently at least
yup
huge companies have a lot of storage on their servers
they can afford the most spacious disks in the world
and third-party add companies are very happy to purchase some user data for advertising purposes, and so on, thats how facebook makes their money, or google
I now this lol Facebook makes money cause the user are the product
But is different use personal information like location preferences etc, but when you talk about an Apple for example recording each second in each of its devices it is a lot of data and very expensive to maintain especially since such amount of data require a very large istruture in real life to store all this doesn't seem lucrative but idk
hard to say, of course
but am sure they can find a way of managing this, if not permanently, then at least for some time
or at least data of some people
Yes I suppose you are right
people call me old-fashioned, because i do not use products like instagram, facebook, tiktok, snapchat, or any of those except for discord, am eighteen years old, and honestly it is terrifying how normalized selling personal info has become
But idk maybe Zuckerberg knows how to compress it all in one way that make it affordable
I understand you fr
I can't do the same though
i have a facebook acount, no profile photo, no location, no real date of birth, no nothing, just to be able to communicate with friends who use this
i dont even use that, only to answer them
But it's true is anoyn the way that the user is treated as the product, and we can't do shit for example in YouTube even if play premium you will see ads inside the videos Netflix you see hidden ads too it is annoying
But if you use it on your smartphone its very easy to fetch your data still
the youtube i actually dont have on my phone
found a way around it
if you use brave browser
on android, at least, then youve got built in adblock, and youtube.com cant display ads
same for brave browser on linux
this forces you to use youtube as the web app, but there are no ads, sooo yeah
I didn't know that
Even after they block the ads bockers?
yeah
idk how brave does this, but they have it built-in, their browser is open source so technically someone could check this
I will take a look some day
But still
The youtubers make they oun ads too lol
dystopian world we live in
one's gotta just find a way to survive in that and dont lose their mind
good way is to just, not attack anyone i think
avoid online debates
real life ones too
ignore everything and everyone
"debates" as arguments tbh
Well it seems a bit too far lol
cats do that
I mean when you debate on the internet you are just telling the app what you believe and what not
yeah i meant like hmm roasting people online
about politics or somethinh
g
or maybe about war
But they are cute so they can
Yes
some girls can too, thats called sugar baby
So the app will show you exactly what you want or in other cases what you don't want to hear
Bye
If I was a girl I probably would be anyway
would suck to know the guy wants your body and doesnt give a damn about you as you
Boohoo
Looking for appoinements setters comission based for web and app development agency
sounds fancy whatever it is
if you interested dm me I'll explain
I love coding.
Coding is like composing a song.
It is a delicate art, a pure discipline, and a vibrant fire.
Why crazy?
I love coding too
Hello, any online tech community where you can find people to collaborate with on a code project for learning purpose ? there is paid platform named Chingu but would like to know more options, thanks.
any browser with adblock will stop youtube ads. (firefox, opera). Just dont use the app.
Cant stop embedded ads in the content
A quick calc of simple 5sec=100k for voice recording, gives me 603gb of continuous recording per person per year. That's 60tb /person over 100years. That's prob $1000 in disk cost these days. And will be trivial in 10 years.
Thought I pressed enter on this, this morning, but it never made ity until now.
It depends on the technology you work with brother, google it shouldn't be hard I suppose
hi there. have anyone worked with building microservices and deploying it in cloud or vps server (interesting configuration like docker, nginx, broker message, configuration environment for development and etc)? it's also actually for microfrontends (aka microservices but for frontend), but last one in more prefer
Thanks, before I wrote the message I already googled with keywords like find collaborator code project for learning purpose or involve in a code project or side project code together ...etc , I knew that different technology may have different community (e.g. identified by specific language) , so I already joined these community to see how to interact with people there . My original question is more about (casual) open chatting to see anyone knows different options / platform, it is also ok if nobody knows any option .
I am a senior MERN stack developer with over 7 years of experience.
If there is something else I can help, please feel free to message me.
Happy to chat here
I have been working with java by 20 years...
I am a frontend developer, I'd like to cooperate with you to get a fantastic job for our business.
Hello everyone, I am a software developer. I'd like to improve my English language skills. What do you do in this channel ? Do you have regular speaking sessions or about software?
Poor soul
Welcome
Thanks a lot
I have had a couple of events, but nothing formal or regular. If you want to have a common grip chat or meeting, the is a make your own channel function below,. Just mention it here in advance or ping people.
Thanks , good to hear you , currently I've been collaborating with another frontend developer on a web app for learning tech skills and improving my portfolio (also for landing a dev job), allow me to describe the project below to see whether you are also interested .
Hi , currently I've been collaborating with another frontend developer on a web game project (see the GitHub codebase for detail), written in TypeScript (frontend) and Python (backend, I am doing this part) .
- currently, 2 core maintainers there
- we do the project for building tech portfolio in our SWE / SDE career, because we'd like to learn more (or go deep if possible) in some technologies.
- you can communicate with us in English, by writing comments in the Github repo (preferred) , or doing voice chatting in DIscord Server (if necessary)
- if anyone is interested to learn similar tech stack, code specific feature(s) together, please feel free to leave comments in the GItHub Discussion there
Thanks
(if the post is considered as a spam please let me know, I can edit that, please don't ban me😄 )
Hello everyone, I have a question about 3D in Java. I need a program to show a 3D model, which is a panel with buttons, a screen and toggle switches. When you click on a button or toggle switch, the corresponding animation with this model is played. Is it possible that I downloaded this model from Blender with the appropriate animations, then when I click on a button, one of the animations is played?
Is it possible to transfer materials and textures from Blender and have it work in the animation?
If so, what is the easiest way to do it?
Is there an option to download the model in .obj format and use the contents of that file to animate individual objects (buttons, screen, etc.)?
Hi everyone! Does anyone know a proper way to configure logging in microservices on k8s cluster? I have 4 deployments for each API and I want to have like a dashboard for them, so I can filter them by level or date + sending notifications on error messages would be a nice option either.
.
Hello , is there Any NLP | machine learning enthusiast here ?
Abbreviation for Natural language processing .
for instance , it is used in chatbots building .
hello there is my youtube channel(https://youtube.com/@ghost-coding?si=OhbkfLUAs_T4_4ww) and I want to earn money by upload content about coding, is anyone can help me?
That's what 'edit' is for
Hi
hello
Hi
Hii!
It looks like dead chat, oh, so sad
Yep
hi
Hi
Hello
hi
I contributed utoipa (for generating openapi docs in rust), gleam programming language & alpaca which is a wip alpaca api client this week. And i also became maintainer of tokio-rusqlite and axum-server which is a crate used by 1.2k+ os projects
Relatively good productive week

Now i understand why people don't wanna refactor gleam compiler's source code
Not bad
Hi
Greate Idea
I wanma contribute
i am worried that this solution might be too easy to solve for the client, in case they can access and edit the files too and they may have someone who knows how computers work well enough to find the lines of the code by searching for keywords such as "days_deadline" or even "opacity" keyword in the CSS property itself
the solution could be to not name the variables clearly, or somehow do that without opacity property, but thats all kinda unclear
well, regardless of what we could do, we shouldnt use var variable declarations as in the screenshot, const and let exist for a reason
It's just a memed suggestion bruh 😂 it would take extra effort to pull this trick out, but I'll try that someday
lmao
hello
my computer turns off when unplugged what's the prplm how can i fix it
Is probably the flux capacitor.
That's a battery problem
the computer says the problem is with the power charger, but it is fine i don't know why it says that
I want to make a AI
This AI possesses the ability to anticipate future events with an accuracy ranging from 60% to 65%.
Can anyone can tell me How it's work?
(Note: It's not a Joke thats really happen.)
Seriously, if it's a laptop, change your power settings to hibernate when lid is closed, rather than sleep.
I see a bright future. This i am certain of. Launch a public company IPO with this in your prospectus. Aim for around $100 million+ with the float. Then start hiringv the team. Remember $100m will pay for 100 staff for about 5 years, so don't forget to get something on the market within 2 years to ensure capital growth, to keep development up and running.
Don't forget to send me 1000 shares for my initial input here. Thanks.
yeah! I started working on It today. Thanks for inspiring me.
First, please describe what you think a computer is used for. Describe this in the most generic way you can.

Hello, im new here. I'm looking for a remote work with 1 year experienced, is there any tips for me to start? my english is only on beginner level
Set up your LinkedIn, make it look professional. Also, polish your portfolio and start applying for jobs. If you use GitHub, stay active there uploading code everyday. Apply for 15 jobs minimum per week.
should I create a presentable portofolio outside my project in Github (code based portofolio)?
is there a youtube video that shows how to do it
Yes a professional portfolio where you feature some of your projects, 3 at least
Alright, thanks for the advice! by the way I’m a Flutter developer. Nice to have cross country friends!
hey i got a question for web devs
When you open the Power menu in Windows 10, you see the options for Sleep, Shut Down, and Restart. What if you want to add the Hibernate option to this menu? To use this feature, you have to activate it manually. That's why, in this guide, we will give you step-by-step information on how to […]
@subtle thunder my hobby project if that looks fun to you
I'll check it out
hi everyone
dont neglect your github, if the company really is professional and there is some dev looking at stuff, then they will look at the github activity and so on
although... not necessarily, sometimes they just send and gather all that in human resources, and no one even looks at github, but eventually if they were to choose somebody in some other stage of elimination, then that could give you some additional advantage i guess
if you could maybe somehow be very clear about what you can practically do, present it in some big project, then very briefly list the principles/tech/features of the language/framework you know, then id imagine it could be pretty nice
they often dont even have time to look at every project and stuff, sooo its better to make this simple and very clear
those are the things ive been told myself
guys learn php or node js
depends on what you want to work on and what market you are aiming for.
also node.js is a run time environment, it's a tool not a language. for php however is a programming language
whos good at react native? i got a question
ok. I shall. Thanks for the advice.👍
Hey folks. I think I will post this every couple of days, but , Don't ask people if they know something, because you want to ask a question. Just ask the question.
Its almost like a bad program
there have any Strapi CMS developer/experince with strapi?
Another meta question 🧜♀️ ☠️
Someone wants to talk about IT? I'm .net Dev and I want to improve my English so, of someone has the same interest it's would be nice
@pliant echo I am here.
Are you there?
I am IT developer.
Yah I'm here.. what is your stack?
I am javascript and typescript. and you?
where do you live in?
I'm .net developer but I have some knowledge with JavaScript. Most of all on front end manipulating DOM
I have some projects in node.js too but not a big deal
I'm from Portugal and you?
ok. I have a 8 years of experience the nodejs, reactjs, graphql and so on.
And I am serbia
Nice to meet you.
How many years about your skill?
It's a lot experience
Comgrats
thanks.
I have 2 years experience but I'm currently work on small company (family company) and I feel like I'm not learning so mutch as I would like so, I'm trying to change to another one
how much is your salary?
But it's been a quite difficult because I think I miss some important things like design patterns, and other things
1700€ gross/month
I'm not so worried about salary right now. Obviously it's important but my real motivation is my professional progress the rest comes with the time I think
I'm thirty (30) it's well written? 🤣
It's a small company we are 10 Devs I'm the only one who works with .net the other ones work with Outsystems so I don't have a significant progress there and I'm trying to change but it's not so easy as I thought
It seems like they looking for persons who already know everything
It's ToolIT
sorry. I don't understand. what do you mean?
I would like to work with .net because I'm more comfortable with. But I don't mind to learn another stack
yeah. can we be friend?
I consider myself a dedicated and interested person I'm always trying learn new things but alone it's not easy
Yes of course
In what kind of projects do you work with?
I am web and web3 developer.
You work with micro services ?
You work as freelancer?
yes.
money is money, most important is to get more experience and skills
with the time, more money can come
Yah I think like that too that's why I'm trying to move on
my opinion kinda doesnt matter since am not even entry level yet, more of a hoobist for now, buuut yeah thats my view
two grand euro per month is quite good for my country tbh
but id imagine that you may be from germany or something, then that wouldnt be so good i suppose
Hi guys, how's it going?
I'm from Portugal
I'm a software engineer student any advice?
ah i see, am from Poland
Cristiano Ronaldo
Robert Lewandowski
oh yeah he plays quite well
Everybody says that when I tell I'm from Portugal 🤣
I'm 30
Haha because is a legend of your country
Wow, and you're a senior programmer?
I'm not a senior I'm junior in .net stack yet
have you done computer science or youre one of the people who got into IT without degrees
wow
Yeah I have I'm a software engineer
any advice for a student in that career bro?
i see i see, am sometimes stressing about landing a job without CS degree, this is possible in my country, but still its kinda making me a bit uneasy
I've finished my degree in 2022 so after that I've started on small company and now I'm looking for another job
You're working in a home office mode, or hybrid or total in office?
The best hit I can give you is learn about design patterns, POO, and of course some ORM
I'm currently work on the office
Do you work on IT?
Thanks man, I'll write that down
no, i am not good enough for this, am still learning to program properly in javascript and its frameworks, and i have so far sold only one website to one person but thats not a job
the dream of each latin american programmer or a programmer that live in latin America is to have a job on Home office mode in a foreign company and earn money in dollar or euros haha
That's true
SIIIIIUUUUUU
SIIIIMMMM
Why should I be proud to be Portuguese?
SIUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
no idea, but i know one udemy frontend web dev instructor who moved from germany to portugal, because he loved your country so much
Jonas Schmedtmann, if anyone knows his content, btw
Hello everyone
Yo Sup guys
Just finished a 2 year project. Staring at the ceiling with a sense of, what do i do now.
A short feeling of it's not going to work as i walked away after handover. A couple of 30 minute returns for help, but now I'm sure I've got to move on.
Now I'm mad and depressed cause ytube is beating me up for ad blocker. Another barrier to over comes. More unnecessary inconvenience. They steal everyone's videos and then force their ads. Just an ongoing battle for the free world.
Hello everyone
Hello
Hello Im .NET Dev
Hello beings of the highest light
I want to apply to Google, but I’m afraid that the interviews will give me a very difficult task
Who has already had experience, could you share?
Hello.
well sure u can apply
but google doesnt hire random people
there are hundreds of leetcode tasks only for their interviews
hi everyone
hello there
Don't go into the interview trying to sell yourself as a coder. They want thinkers and people who are able to fit in to the holes in their business and projects. Sure your flexibility, willingness to try be things and different roles. Most importantly be passionate about "information" and technology and be confident.
Read about the company, people and projects and get a feel for the business. They want you to be a part of an organization that is building an integrated world. That is the key.
How will you fit into that picture?
where are the brogrammers at??
Hi
Hi
Que mira bobo¿
when they realize that u have something important in ur brain they use everything to take it no matter how and they dont care about ur privacy too my experience,
if u have something dont talk about it until u do something with it or they will
A very important point for all here, to remember, regardless of your employer. Over your life you will come up with ideas that actually are unique and have not been thought of yet. Typically they related to your profession, which is your passion and potentially also your hobby. As you read, collect info, tinker with junk, and just generally live, you will come up with ideas. Companies will claim in their employment contracts that anything you discover or think of while on the job, belongs to them, and they will take that idea from you if they can, and exploit it with little or no reward to you.
If you ever find yourself in this situation, never discuss it with anyone from your business. Even your best friends. Actually don't discuss it with anyone. Hold onto those ideas until you can decide to do something with it yourself. That can be either start building it yourself, or patent the idea (speak to a patent lawyer... And be cautious with them as well). Never enter any ideas into internal corporate 'ideas' competitions, as they are often the sort of things that may seem trivial at the time, but are worth vast amounts as a design that can save money for a business, or make money for a business, and that idea should be sold to the world by you, not an employer that pays you little and expects you to hand over anything and everything you can think of, regardless of whether it was on company time or not.
Patent law is one of the most useful and also counter productive thing devised on this planet.
doese patent law work for programmers ?
Yes. Think of the wars between Samsung and Apple, regarding little things like fading colours or dark mode vs light mode, or round corners on s screen verse square corners, or icons with words or no words. Everything you see in the phone interfaces is carefully fought over, and they are trivial design differences. For decades companies have battles with each other, saying something that was inserted into coffee, was stolen from some other product. The reality is if one of the bigger companies likes an idea, they will put money into either buying it for a' trivial sum' relative to its worth, or cousin it was stolen from them, and while you out through legal costs. Even if it is your genuine unique idea. For many programmer that join the open source licenses, it's about fighting patents, and ensures that if it's a real idea that can help mankind, it can be attributed to you. That is the important legacy you can leave the world.
It will be hard for you to finance the development of some ideas as they will be too insignificant on their own, but can benefit one company or many people . That is the decision you will need to make. Even if you do parent an idea, it costs a large amount, money that needs to be spent across the world (it applies in a country by country basis) and even with a parent, will still be covering used and inserted into products of big businesses, cause they know, it's easier to to that and claim you stole it from them, than for you to fight them. That is also the case for certain larger countries that don't abide by international laws or act ethically.
(other examples... Basic finger swipe input. Tinder swipe left swipe right selecting/rejection) they are all worth higher amounts of money, and if you use these features in your programs without permission or license, you can be sued.
what did linus torvalds do? he created linux, and then what did google, microsoft, apple, and everyone else do? use his product for free and spend less money on abusing rights of their users, linux runs on their servers, while they use those servers to store stolen user data
so even though i like open source ideology and i myself use it a lot, id probably never open source fully, because people are bad inherently, they are thieves and leeches
i lost all faith in this society and corporations long time ago, people dont have morality anymore, so i guess no reason to trust them so much
Indeed, that's why i said it's a big decision to be made on how to protect one's IP.
Hello ,is anybody here ? 🙄
#include<iostream>
using namespace std;
int main(){
cout <<"Hello guys" << endl;
}
hello mate
.
nah
yeah
are you a writer
I can see your next move , I was just joking
.
can we talk better
any react devs here
Hi guys, anyone here learning game development?
I do create some, for fun (but i’m web dev)
here
Is there anyone who's living in US?
Yes, I am, what happened?
I'm an expert, not learner, what are you gonna do?
Do u develop with C?
hello everyone
I'm ZAKA-6X and I'm ready to get knew experience and have new friends
developing games with c doesn't sound fun
another dragon
hi guys, anyone here learn golang?
If you think developing a game in C is not fun, then you will hate developing anything else.
i'm rather talking about 3d or complex 2d games, that require a game engine. i would like to develop a game like tic tac toe in c, but definitelly not something more complex
great. Someone who would like to develop a game with a scope that is achievable in a lifetime, if not a week or a few.
I don't see game engines as programming, rather just configuring an application that is already coded.
Sure they're complex, but all the fun was in writing the engine, and the language that drives it
i think like this and i dont hate developing anything else (but not in C)
It is fun
Trying to understand this response it's like trying to determine the logic of a poorly nested if statement. What part of my statement is represented by you're use of the word 'this'?
what languages should I learn when I want to be a web developer, specifically to design websites and build them?
Does anyone know Ros2?
lmao you are right about me making it quite weird
i meant that i do not like C and i would not like to develop any game in it
while i like to code in different languages

Hello everyone, I am planning to learn programming but first I want to learn from beginning. How should my roadmap be? How should I make progress? Can anyone help? And is there anybody would help me when I have question?
You can find a roadmap for any language on Github
What programming language are you gonna learn?
I am beginner in Python but everyone say that I should learn C or C++ for algorithms and data types like bubble sort, graph, 2D,3D lists
Especially people say that C or C++ is best for learning logic of algorithms
yeah they are right, you should start learning c++
Because C++ is a very complex language. Maybe you don't need it.
no, he should learn it
Because he wouldn't learn real programming without it
Maybe he doesn't need it. You don't have to learn C++. Why are you scaring beginners
he doesn't need it in his career that's right, but he need it for improving his skills
in my opinion, he must start with it, because Python is so easy and this is not a good start in programming
Learning the basics of programming would be best started without the OO components. Unfortunately all the non OO languages are difficult to find these days. C is therefore ideal as it has all the features needed to a comprehensive journey into systems programming whilst providing the fundamental elements needed to code multitudes of algorithms. OO can then be added onto with C++ a little down the way with minimal stress. Following the acquisition of some basic programming skills, and some development of stand alone applications, one can move into some data storage or database work, and then finally adding text formatting languages like html and thin client work.
Don't listen to everyone, learn what you like. If you will know 1 programming language, then something else will be easy for learning. Languages are similar to each other in basic. Algorithms, computer science, etc are important, but you can learn it later, so become a professional in one
thats a great theory but id say most mortals would rather start simple, like from html, i personally did
it kinda showed me what coding is, before the real programming part began
made me realize how to think properly, like average humans dont really have too sharp problem solving skills, or generally they kinda cant think as programmers do, because in code the mindset is you are analyzing the problems (which is unusual cuz irl people like to escape from the problems, not analyze them)
Any .NET Developer who wants to talk English?
When i was little, i started programming using fortran. The whole idea of getting a computer to solve a problem was what gave computer folk the pain to work with computers. Later when i was rummaging threw the system applications, i came across a few orgasms that formatted your text. They asked bolding, italics, headers future etc. It was a fancy little set of character markers that were placed around the word in a text file to make it pretty. Then it ran the text file through that stem program and it turns straight ascii letters into wonderful fancy text like i would see in books. Basically it was html. But it was invented in the 1950s.
I only ever treated it as weird purchasing, the stuff secretaries did to make their bosses documents pretty. The real work was in writing code. Then long time later in the 1990s wwe came along and published fancy looking pretty pages in browsers. It used html to make these pretty documents. It was still just document formatting. But not programming. I pretty much see the end of real programming as the people were all trying to write pure html. Xml d Strong in the 80s and similarly was only for the output and for file transfer interfaces. But never really treated as organizing. Programs were written to produce html or xml, but presents didn't actually write using them. They were just ways to get pretty output from the programs that did the work and which we used to solve problems. They used languages such as c, fortran, cobol, pascal, Ada, modula 2, algol, snobol, basic and they were all extended with lots of nice features as they moved from 3gls to 4gls to 5gl, then the world stopped and the new kids on the block thought html was a new coding language, when really the secretaries had been using it for 40 years. That was a sad day in the coding world.

i guess am the new kid then
lmao
C and all those low level languages are surely more difficult and more "serious", since theyve been around like forever and they are the backbone of the systems, not only software, but idk for me theyre not my kink as I can just write javascript which is the new rich cool kid in the neighbourhoid
and yeah youve got the point, you sound like someone very experienced, unlike me, but most modern programmers dont think like you, they just wanna do cool stuff that works and thats usually python or web dev
let alone non-IT people, who really think that paying a bit for some generated website like from wordpress is a good idea, while thats bloated to a point when even the html itself is bloated, css too, bloated with absolutely useless code repetition, not to mention js written in jquery which is full of vulnerabilities and shouldnt even be used anymore
We all want to do the cool stuff or bleeding edge stuff. It's just different as time progresses . In 40 years you'll be talking about how people used to write web pages using things called "computers" that you had on a desk or carried in your hand. There new kids will laugh at you and say tell us some more if these funny stories.
well i hope we dont kill each other till that time
and seeing how people now are, am afraid prostitution, drug abuse, and all that will go even more... rampant, idk if this a correct adjective here
The bots will
Prostitution is a dying activity with bots taking over
Dig up the old movie 'sleeper' from the early 70s with Woody Allen. It tells of the future.

thanks for answers. The next question is 'Where can I learn data types and algorithms professionally?'
why the f my brightness gets to max auto, i have unchecked the optimization. still this happens. os windows 11.
Hello everyone, who here does programming for websites?
halo
If you check optimize, it should lower the value. Otherwise it would assume you want to use full power to start with.
Do you know anything about these yet? Surely you have done some reading about this. Even knowing the term data structures means you must be reading about this. I could help if you wish to ask questions.
Hi
Almost everyone here appears to do programming for websites. (Except me) the priority i put on the front end of a program did not warrant the need for such pretty pictures. The specialization of front end development as a role initially did not interest me, nor does it now, except that i still feel after 30 years since this became a thing, the 'industry' is still making a lot of annoying crappy human machine interfaces, that waste the end users time. (Discussion for another time)
@pure copper how do u type so much?
@pure copper ??
I use a keyboard
u tired ?
ever?
I passed out earlier due to some probably disease... maybe late covid. Ive been up for a few hours now , and the sun have come up. The birds are chirping and I think I will go back to sleep, as I can feel the "Ive been up all noight feeling' even though I slept for 6 hours accidentally
@barren mica
But thanks for asking. Why the curiosity?
Hey i have two questions, how much CSS i have to learn to learn a css frame work and does those frameworks makes my life easier with css? if it does is it significant?
u seems to be really hard working, thanks for ure work, hope ure fine now @pure copper
Thanks
Any programmer here?
Also any Arch Linux user?
Is anybody here learning android programming?
I tried a couple of months ago, but the emulator is too slow for my liking. But I need to continue, I think. But 20 minutes to run hello world is a little slow
It's very hard to program with such slow emulator, especially if you're learning. But if you'll decide to continue i can help you. My goal is learn technical(and general) English and practice hard skills
Your English appears to be quite good presently, but I'm happy to assist in Tech English if you have questions etc. I may take you up on an offer to get a first program written with Android/java or something. Its the 10000 lines of templated OO that turns me off, presently
Hello... does anyone here speak a little Spanish?
Need anything?
I do
hello...
O hi
I saw de speak channels but... all people speaks with much experience
And... I do not
not so sure, last time i joined some voice channel people spoke without much experience
and without much confidence either
i dont blame them cuz thats english learning server, anything can be expected
haha it´s sure
but, i wanna learn English to know more people
I´m speak well Spanish, I'm native, but search's who want learn for practice
Includes programming, obviously, I'm Javascript and c# Developer
including*
i also write javascript, but ive got no time for talking now
it seems there are many js devs on the internet so i hope u meet another one sooner or later
Thanks
Hi is there anybody that could help me with creating a logo and creating a web page thanks in advance
Just looking at the nostalgic font used in an old sci Fi movie, and remembered that in the old days, there were only cap letters to work with in the screens. I think i will write my next future programs in all caps.
Mmmmmm nice
🧜♀️
I can implement your web page
Can I dm you
go ahead
i need more explication about linux
like what ?
about how it works
it is a OS works like other operating systems
actually iam texting you through linux system
are you an IT student or something ?
go search about operating systems
after that
go search about linux
yeah i know about operating systems like ios and windows and i think linux
i think linux is an operating system who is more secured and safe
and he is also open source right
but the thing is what the purpose of installing this operating systems
system`
it's depends on what you want
like linux contain another browsers and another applications
who are more safe than the regular browsers ?
it's similar to them u can use any browser on linux
but maybe you are talking about tor browser
yeah i think so
im searching about somth safe and secure
use brave
alright , so u suggest that i can or «should» Install linux or keep windows
can you tell me why do you want to use it?
safeness
do you know any website to learn coding for free
privacy concern that's cool
html example
so if you don't play any games or you can dispensing microsoft applications try Ubuntu is is a good distro
alright bro thank you for infos
make dual boot
Tor browser is better if u want to be safe @worn carbon
you are right bro but it's not efficient for daily work
use brave
pretty much every distro has it in its repositories
= can be easily installed using software manager, no need for command line
Oh, long time no see this channel. Damn scammer, Where are my old friends?
Sometimes all you need to do to learn is just read the manual. Use the features that you read about, when you see a need for them.
Omg, look what the cat just dragged in. (English idiom)

Happy to see you again @pure copper , though your idiom seems to have disagreeable meaning.
Maybe, speaking of the devil, but we wernt really speaking of the devil actually, so perhaps, just hi. Howzit?
your spell checker works incorrectly again. What do you mean "wernt"?😁
I have one question. What is better Linux or Windows?
I want to change Windows on Linux. Is it worth?
Damn spell checker.. it was good enough for 'weren't'
Windows was updating so often i had to switch to Linux to get some sleep. I've noticed that Windows 11 is pushing ads, and unwanted control. This should be reason enough.
Thank you
I dont want to be that Guy ; But yes I use ARCH btw
You are a legend
Using arch is not a big deal. Maybe you are surprised by the fact that I am not toxic like some ARCH USERS
Guys, who has a project to create a 2d platformer on Unity (or are they just a simple toy for me to ask myself in the future)?
🙂
Why
hi i am seeking for a someone are good at css
what happened
plus are you using some frameworks or libraries, if yes, then i know only SCSS well
why
why
I'm familiar with it
None
I am bad at css
I have troubles in using css
Would u help me?
Good for you
what is ur problem?
Hi!!!
I used arch, but once an updating broken all my system I had to go back to Ubuntu.
what do y'all're studying?
I'm studying the quantum mechanics of genoneucleoidic particles in bio-depleted environments.
It is this a subject of mechanic physics? what is a bio-depleted environment?
