ptcgo is the Pokemon trading card Game online it's been the client for the last like 10 or 12 years
they released ptcgl or Pokemon trading card game live in beta last year around this time and it was absolutely horrible
it's continued to get worse the game is basically a pre-alpha with how many bugs it has
and every time they introduce a new set when it releases it breaks the game even further
the big difference is that the new client, live, is being developed in-house whereas the old client, online, was outsourced to a game developer known as direwolf who built and maintained it very well over the last decade Plus

Wanted to share this card I think is pretty neat. It’s a Japanese promo from a 1998 campaign where people were encouraged to mail in a flyer (found included with a cd from the obscure Pokémon band suzukisan) along with a card they wanted to “trade”. In return they’d recieve this card mailed back along with a promo Charizard, blastoise, or venusaur. It’s one of the few cards to feature a holo back, which i think is pretty cool, and I love the art. imakuni makes some very unique cards.

I can’t think of a specific one, but if you care about your more rare cards, just don’t use binders with rings. Also, I would recommend sleeving that since it’s a full art.

I just picked up a standard ultra pro eclipse binder to put away my valuable cards, I think just about any binder is fine as long as you’re sleeving your cards and they’re secure
Like tamun said avoid 3 ring binders at all costs, it’s easy to pinch and dent or bend cards when you’re turning pages or opening/closing them

Sorry but I’m pretty familiar with the community, top players and the scene. It is not always as welcoming and inclusive as pokemon wants people to think. I’m not basing this off of this one incident. These happen almost every time there is a regional and it’s getting old. The toxicity at the top tables is absolutely rampant and something needs to be done
A 6 month ban is not enough, there should be absolutely zero tolerance for any sort of comments like that

It happens over and over again, often with nothing being done or even with the bans that were given being rescinded, in the case of a top player over the age of 18 having a relationship with a minor

I’m not going to sit here and say they are all like that, but the large number that do fall into that category tend to taint the entire experience

We end up seeing only a small portion of what these people say and do as well, but how often they occur and how disturbing it is each time is indicative of a bigger problem
There’s not much defending the community atm with how things have generally been handled
Shoutout to people like mahone who condemn them and say it like it is but it’s hard to relax or feel comfortable until we see tangible change

People get overhyped for any charizard card in general. Doesn’t help that there’s a potential new archetype coming with it competitively.
Price will likely fall once the novelty wears off and it doesn’t perform as well in tourneys as some think

So my kids started getting into Pokemon cards, and I thought I’d get some today. Thought process being that I’d keep the cool ones and give the duplicates to the kids. I bought 3 packs of SV 151s and out of the first pack pulled the Charizard EX. 😂 I had to send the dude I bought them from (Facebook Marketplace) a pic of the card haha
