Part of the story tells that after being given immortality by the aeon, the ship was "forever lost" and couldn't return to its home planet. Why exactly is that? He didnt specify a reason for it, and I can't really make sense of it. Did their home planet die? was the ship cursed to aimlessly wonder around without a destination? feels like im missing something

Seems there isnt a Honey Impact equivalent for Star Rail yet, and the wiki doesnt have entries for this missions yet, but going off of their Data Bank entry, it sounds like the ship we visit in Star Rail is less of a "World" ship and more of a "Crusade" ship

TL;DR: I think the fate of their homeworld is left ambiguous atm. Possibly destroyed by the Aeon of The Hunt to purge the Aeon of the Abundance's influence. But haven't seen confirmation on its fate. The ship we see seems to be more of a crusade ship than a world ship tho

Well, Sumeru City itself has exactly everything to do in spotlight with its main archon quest and even had to go through so much as a revamp once the main line was done. But I can see a point being made for how much the desert itself has been essentially getting almost the majority attention after that update, which may or may not sit well with some.

I do find its appeal quite fitting in the exploration overall, and while it def has been daunting a few times (moreso Liloupaur and the Tanit), it’s attractive/engaging to have more in way of discussion and piecing things together in that way. But that’s just IMO, and not everyone is going to like this approach, which is perfectly fine and valid too.

I guess for me the main issue is it just feels like the lore is "wide" versus "deep".
Wide just meaning it introduces a large number of topics, versus deep lore being fleshing out a specific topic.
Like, a lot of 'lore' gets introduced, but never really explored past a surface level summary.

Continuing to use the desert city states as an example, a ton of proper nouns are introduced, but the amount that get more than just a single line is like... small enough to fit on one hand
