On kqm site there's info about electrocharged removing 3s and 5s per tick. What about 0.4u per tick, was it wrong or just more general assumption?

well if it does extend aura duration, it still consumes 0.4u per EC tick. Probably what they mean is the the tick interval is delayed or smth? BEcause by the gauge it'll still only be 2 ticks per let's say, 1u Elec + 1u Hydro Tho yeah EC is big brain stuff so I wouldn't be surprised if it's another thing I don't know 
I thought that if ec tick cd is 60 frames(1s) and you can extend auras by 60 more frames when 2u hydro + 2u electro (with just more time), you can get additional tick in those 60 frames

this is the formula i use for my sheets formatted in a way you can read
if X-Enemy Res>0:
Y = 1+(X-Enemy Res)/2
else:
Y = 1-(Enemy Res + X)
where X is shred and Y is the res mod

if you want dmg bonus from an enemy with like 10% shred then you take the final dmg mod after you account for shred and divide it by the initial mod without any shred
so for example with an enemy at 10% res initially should be at a 1.15 res mod accounting for VV shred so you take that and divide it by the initial res mod for an enemy (0.9)
1.15/0.9 ~= 1.27
so i guess if you wanted a final res modifier it'd just be
Y = (1+(X-Enemy Res)/2)/(1-(Enemy Res + X)
where x is the shred and y is the final dmg increase from res

ok I need help. I'm kinda having difficulty trying to figure out Raiden's Q cast time. Idk but the deviation is higher than I expected and what I commonly encountered (usually deviation would be 2-4 frame, while in Raiden cast it shoots up to 11f deviation)
this should be on request board but since this is simple matter, I'll just post it here. I figure it wouldn't take you long to do anyway.

Requirement : Have Raiden. 60fps recorder. Rig capable of 60fps gameplay. Lil of your spare time.
Description : High deviation on Raiden Q Cast duration. I'm trying to figure out whether this is skill issue or something. Need more samples.
Methodology :
- Do Raiden Q + N1 without Burst camera cutscene, do it as fast as you can. (if you accidently went to N2 or N3, it's okay. Just stop there)
- Don't do anything else until Raiden's Q state end (the sky turns bright again)
- Do this at least 3 times (by pausing recording or 3 separate footages, up to you)
Tips : - Go to Abyss Portal and soak your Raiden in the water around it. Try to sprint, if you can't sprint, you're already on the right place

Hmm, a quick question regarding Yelan's breakthrough barb.
Ganyu's CA bloom has an innate travel time of 0.3 secs, which affects slingshot bow and amos bow buff behaviors. For the sake of comparing these kind of weapons for Yelan, I wondered if Yelan's breakthrough barb has an innate travel time separate from the initial shot like Ganyu. Does anybody have info on that?
due to slingshot's high critrate, low base attack, and potentially 60% damage increase to a charge attack, I feel like there's big potential there, but the difference in airtime behavior can either make or break this bow
if breakthrough barb has an innate travel time, like bloom, then it will trigger slingshot 100% of the time, considering how quickly it blows up
if it won't, and it carries over the airtime of the charge attack, then you'll need to trigger it from close range
if you have a question that can be answered through yelan testing your best bet is probably dminng uba

i have a question; how one start to theorycraft? which data(s) do a theorycrafter usually analyze? how long they test things? do tc'ers evaluate everything or can they specialize in a specific variable? i want to atleast start somewhere to analyze stuff and both want to learn more about genshin's numbers? any advices? where should a person start from?
there's no degree for this sort of thing. it's really not that deep. it's simply just taking your favourite characters/comps and trying to contribute with tips and/or optimisations for how people can improve.
from that it can break down into rotation guides, character guides, team calcs, combos, weapon calcs etc. but it all starts from simply having something you wish to contribute

if you have a team, strat or a thing you wish to share, then simply just find a community and share it. very simple

I recorded to test the ''nearby'' range to see if aqua simulacra consistently provides the bonus for ganyu and it seems it has enough range to play with xiangling's pyronado range. hope it helps.
btw It seems when you quit from the range of deathmatch it stays for one or maybe two seconds bc I see my atk was 2151 when I was a little bit far away from the hilichurls.

since the only dmg/healing you do, that scales with atk is her e dmg, either you want em for the passive or hp for healing/dmg or crit for dmg (idk if thats worth) or er, so you have iron sting or fav sword (sac prob doesnt work great with her continous e and only 3s downtime)

Hi all. I'm mainly a lurker and occasional poster and I've wanted to sort of get more involved in the tc community past my own perosnal calculation. I'm not sure how many people here pay attention to baseball, but baseball has a statistic called WAR or wins above replacement. I know there are challenges to creating such a thing in genshin with plenty of backlash looming, but I was just curious if anyone else would find any value or like to work with me on my project that looks to create a dynamic replacement value for units.

I'm on very initial stages of framing this in and I've just recently started working on like a pre outline to box in the parameters as well as set up initial stages on developing the most objective value I can. I just want to ensure I'm being as objective as possible as well as collaborate to get new ideas.
Essentially tldr War, or wins above replacement, exists at multiple levels to examine how much greater or worse a player is at multiple aspects of the game including hitting and fielding (individual values can exist for each) the statistic in essence says if a player has a war of 5.4, they've contributed to the team winning 5.4 more games in the time period in which the stat is calculated versus a replacement level player (war of 0)
then the 'defining' of win I suppose is 36* abyss?
or more than that?
really curious about the parameters you'll gona take into consideration, or any standard/assumptions there
my feelscrafting says that it's gonna be uber complicated, but interesting nonetheless

More essentially, what I'm framing in is an efficiency for content, abyss included, but more so looking at in situations where all is equal, what unit provides the most within its given role with the same set of stats.
I want to keep weapons and indivdual artifacts separate so a baseline of statistics for a character is required. With that being said there has to be levels of variability given the main stat of artifacts. You can't have one number. Rather than establishing what is meta or the right selection subjectively, I'd create a calculator that would make individual numbers for each situations. I know that seems like a lot but once you develop the framework it's just kind of plug and play.
Same with healers and support bots

you give your preferences as a number into the function, including skill floor as you said
something like "on a scale of 1 to 5, how much do you value ease of play?"
and you get a array of values for how 'optimal' characters are for your current lineup
of course it would never be perfect, but I'd like to think it would be better than current tier list meta 
right, but the issue with that then becomes, who's testing all this. is someone gonna test every team at multiple levels of investments?

Generally these elements benefit more just having 2 of them + probably an anemo buffer. Pyro messes up freeze.
For the amp comps, the vv buff + the extra buff an anemo like Suc/Kaz can give you will outscale the chance of dealing 2x instead of 1.5x damage 30% of the time (on average, 30% is the case for Hu Tao at least).

A thing to keep in mind about Yelan Hold E is that the cd only starts after you end the ability. So if you dash around for 3s you effectively incur a 13s CD on the ability, which could hamper your ability to use it twice per rotation if that would be the plan in a more quick-swappy team.

With a Dendro unit and an Hydro on field like Ayato and and off field Pyro(Thoma might be a good choice since he is so undervalued)here Dendro+Hydro causing overgrowth can be a continuous supply for Dendro which can be further used to drive overgrowth and burning with Pyro from the of field unit which you can forward vape as well
If this will work on or greatly depends on the Dendro and Pyro application from overgrowth and burning as of now this is just a speculation

for a lvl 90 Ayaka + Mistsplitter, 100 ATK its basically 2 average ATK% rolls
but 10% CDMG is less than 2 average CDMG% rolls
Yeah in most cases 100 Atk is more valuable than 10% cd, my bad. I made it look like Atk is better than CD and build should be atk focused 🤦♂️
In my opinion Atk and Crit damage has equal values and they should be balanced
In most cases 100 atk is somewhat equal to 14% which is more than 2 average cd rolls
For example for a build with 2400 atk and 220 crit damage, adding 14% crit damage gives around 24 more damage than 100 atk per tick, almost equal.
Another example: for a build with 2000 atk and 270 crit damage, adding 100 atk gives 140~ more damage than 14% cd per tick. Value of attack is more significant here
both my buddy and i have c0 + mist and he runs an atk circlet on his but i have an okay cd circlet on mine, and when i play his ayaka in abyss i swear she just feels better
Yeah, I think Atk circlets are magical
My two best builds for Ayaka are 1- 2462 atk and 262% crit damage (with cd circlet) 2- 2829 atk with 219% crit damage (with atk circlet)
And guess what? Atk circlet build with 2800 atk deals more damage (it even has 5 more crit rate)
But of course this is because I dont use any Atk% buffs like Ttods, 4p no etc.
First build would be better with these kinda buffs
Lastly about Shenhe, her buff dmg scales a lot better with crit damage. Atk circlet loses here
I could try one in my sheet. I have aya mon kaz dio which should give stupid amount of dmg bonus to her to see how worth ATK gearing with that comp

After you at 100% crit, crit damage functions the same as attack, except it's given to you at a rate of 1.33 as cheaply. Thus for optimal balancing you want your attack bonus ((buffed_attack-base_attack)/base_attack) to be equal to 1/1.333 = 75% your crit damage bonus. So if you have 280% crit damage you want ~210% attack BONUS (e..g 3100/1000 atk)

Most reactions do have some sort of ICD: amplifying rxns are based on the elemental app ICD; overload, EC can every 0.5s; superconduct twice every 0.5s.

Hi guys, please explain how exactly the cutting of resists in the genshin works? What does it look like in the damage formula? For example, using an anemone set. It cuts off 40% of resists, how much damage does it actually give a buff? Thanks for the answer

As for the resist part specifically, see the picture. It depends on the specific enemy resists to tell say how much damage is increased. Below 0% resistance, it's halved. #・genshin-help can answer this next time!

basically what he said you start with 1.6U of hydro because of aura tax then you are apping 1U and 2U of pyro and thus removing 1.5U of hydro leaving you with 0.1U, the decay rate for 2U is B which is 7.5s so 7.5 * 0.1 remaining time is 0.75s that needs to pass before the pyro app before the CA would completely consume the hydro aura from yelan's ult
