• Use a tool to calculate the stats according to the substats distribution. It can be with a sheet.

So I'm definitely getting the starglitter - I don't see any use in getting consts for any of these chars at this point. It's just that I need to think of who to use them for since I'm prolly not getting more than about 4 each year which means two lvl 100 chars per year.

I'm a bit more on the fence about the Anniversary selector - I could either get a Masterless Starglitter (by pulling Mona), or I could get Yumemizuki Mizuki. I'd only use the latter in IT, but in IT she's actually pretty good and they are in fact pushing IT up to around 32 chars cap so... yeah

which sounds fairly likely for the time being (they picked all chars from the first three "expansions", I don't see them allowing us to pull Fontaine/Natlan consts during Nod-Krai's tenure and there's only so many Monstadt/Liyue/Inazuma/Sumeru chars to choose from, so standard chars will likely be there frequently during 6.x... plus anniversary selector)

Yeah, I mean, even for older players, assuming we get 1 new standard 5* per year, that virtually sets you back seven standard pulls on avg (six only if you count the free constellation)

Tho on the plus side, that means they would have to devote one patch every year to a "breather" banner (since why in the heck would I pull for a standard char)

Sadly, I'm pretty sure that seven standard 5* chars is more than you'd normally pull in a year, even if you are a Welkin/BP player. Assuming an avg 1200 pulls a year, and that you only lose the 50/50 every other time, you'd probably not see more than four 5* standards a year, plus the anniversary pull - the acquaint fates are hardly worth considering, you're not going to crack more than 1, maybe 2 5* a year and those might end up being weapons.

In fact, if you also pull for weapon banners, that four 5* standards a year might even be as well three or less.

So yeah, in the long run we're prolly gonna see less and less C6 standard 5* pulls

So in the end I'll prolly never get more than 3 or so Masterless Starglitter, which means I prolly should just pretend the lvl 100 cap doesn't exist and those 3 I get will prolly sit forever in my inventory as they'll be way too valuable to spend them on anything

Personally, I don't think so and I'll explain why (in the following, when I say SO, I mean fearless - dire might as well not exist)

First of all, DPS chars seem to have a very limited shelf life as far as Stygian Onslaught is concerned. Sure, you can still use old chars in SO even nowadays, but only at certain conditions - such as the fact that SO room specifically favors their playstyle and the fact you pulled their specific supports (for example I still used Ayaka in certain SO but I managed to only because I pulled both Furina and Escoffier). Even chars that seem to be evergreen in SO now, such as Mavuika, are probably not going to be so in 1-2 years (contrast that with, say, Hu Tao who stayed relevant in her niche up until Fontaine, so about 3 years).

Now, add to that that anniversary alone gives you +1 masterless starglitter per year - that's one lvl 100 char every three year, and that char will likely become niche before you even have enough starglitter for another char. The only chars I'd expect to survive that long without becoming niche are supports like Bennett and Furina, but they stand to gain the least out of the lvl 100 cap.

On the other way, IT is bound to expand to up to 32 chars, and might become more difficult over time. So, if a Standard char is good in IT (like, say, Mizuki who works with almost any PHEC shell), you should probably pull for her just to be safer there - it's not gonna change anything in SO o SA anyway

It would have been different if they allowed you to use the free constellation multiple times for the same char - that would've made lvl 100 a more relevant factor to play around. But as it stands, unless you're a whale capable of churning out C6 with any regularity, you're going to get less and less starglitters over time, no matter what you do.

Plus, with how specific SO setups are, gone are the times when it could have made sense to C6 anything as a Welkin/BP player - for example, I initially pulled Yae as C0 in 2.3, brought her to C2 in Sumeru and eventually up to C6 during Fontaine. This was because up until Fontaine the powercreep curve meant even older chars could stil compete relatively well.

This is no longer the case - I wouldn't go any further than C2 for pretty much anything at this point. Maybe except some supports, but C6 for Supports tend to just make them main DPS and you don't want that

Back when they first introduced IT, literally anything would work - even 4* carries could do the job from beginning to the end. Now I already see that certain low-end carries are becoming more and more inadequate. For example, Hu Tao used to be almost self-sufficient in IT in late Fontaine when IT was first introduced, you could easily slot 1-2 useless chars alongside her and she'd do the job. This is no longer the case from my experience - without a cohesive team, she can't carry you in late stages. For that, you need stuff like Mavuika or Arlecchino. HT is usable only if you bring something like XQ or Yelan alongside her, at the very least.

And I expect the trend to continue - in 2 years, many of the non-support 4* might become liabilities in IT

and even some of the older 5* that require specific supports to work might become harder and harder to slot in

the nod krai craftable is sadly not great for nilou. R1 gives you 16% hp, and another 16% if you go 2 nod krais, which you don't want to do in lauma nilou teams for the most part. And the ER is not very helpful. R5 only doubles that HP% gain.
you can get The Dockhand's Assistant from some random weapon banner if you are lucky, otherwise you can keep sapwood.

@knotty patio thats the zajef quick and dirty way, but most people just use a prebuilt sheet, and manually tweak the subs so that they remain kqm standard compliant. after all, manually tweaking is very simple, as in general you just aim for a 1:2 before 100 cr, and all cd after that.
there are exceptions, like when you get CV for a specific part of the kit, like cr for E, but then you can just tweak by the final dps number.

He's best paired with Fischl and Mona (well, and Klee)

its not as good for ayaka as you think it is, she snapshots and doesn't benefit from the atk buff. just a stat stick. thoma is a polearm. traveler is depends on the element. for skirk on the worse side outside of burst playstyle,. just a stat stick. useless for kazuha. one of the better options for kirara with atk scaling carry. fot albedo its worse than a 3* weapon before c2 and mainly just useful for the team buff at c2.
for benny only useful with units that can snapshot. same for furina, if you can't snapshot really no reason to use it and even when you can just use fav. its usable for xilo and dahlia with units that can snapshot because they just don't have good weapons
