I heard so many people argue that it was the worse gaa because of how much of the charm and chill from the first one disappeared in favor of more complex story and puzzles

I liked the original gaa for how relaxed it was- simple puzzles, fun summer beach vibes, cute music, a cute story, all that jazz

The second one I think people just didn't recognize it as it's own thing, and just strictly based it all around the original gaa- albeit the puzzles were definitely more complex than the previous one, a lot of which had to be done via tutorials made by others

They were two entirely different events, just reused and added assets

But I do agree that the story for it was good

Especially the look we get into Mona's past and mentality

And the hardships she's had to face in the past due to her career as an astrologist

i do have to say though, the puzzles in the current summer event are VERY reminiscent of the first gaa and i am really into it

they have that special simplicity to them that the beach ball puzzles had

and the cute little charm to completing them
